Abandoned 1966 Chevrolet 4X4 K20 Farm Truck Left for Dead! Sitting for 15 Years! Will it Run?!?

  • This 1966 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4X4 has been a local legend for decades. It was used as a commercial spray pickup for many years and then went to regular duty as the only 4X4 on a local farm. After that, the farmers son had some fun with it and left it to decay in a CRP field. It's got a 327 4 barrel and 4 speed manual transmission. I got 2 sets of wheels with it. Wide 16.5 inch tires and skinny 17.5 inch tires. It's had a hard life but it deserves to live on! This one isn't for sale boys and girls! Lets see if we can get this old gem running for the first time since it was parked 15 or so years ago! Thanks for watching everyone!

I always find it amusing when people act like the way they do something is the only way to do it. My father taught me to put a little "sillycone" on the edges of the rubber gaskets for the intake. I have only put one on about 4 or 5 times. but doing that they have never leaked. And I am sure that the way you do it, they don't leak either. It doesn't mater how you do it, as long as it works! And thanks for saving that old work truck!

Ma would have known if you used the "good" towels because you'd disturb the dust on them. 😂🤣 That and as many years as ours hung there I was afraid they'd crumble into dust if I actually tried moving them, sort of like the dead sea scrolls. They were always accompanied by that dish of weird shaped, fancy bars of soap that no one was allowed to use....until the day came when the bathroom got painted a new color which required new fancy matching soaps and towels. Meanwhile the every day towels were every color under the sun and so threadbare it was faster to dry standing in front of a box fan after a shower than it was to use those. I'd get in trouble for using those anyhow because I'd use 2 or 3 to dry off with and was always accused of wasting clean towels. Yeah, well when it takes 3 to dry you off perhaps it's time to buy new towels, ya think? And why are some of these towels so old they have silver dollar sized holes in them and have a Holiday Inn logo on them? You obviously got THOSE for nothing, so lets cut those up and use them for shop rags instead of the holey tee shirts maybe? Cu the old tees into strips to tie the tomato plants to the stakes cause them zip ties cost money, boy!
