- From December 3 2022 Amazon CloudCam will discontinue its service since Amazon bought Blink. So if you are an Amazon CloudCam user you must upgrade to Blink security system.
This is a good tutorial. I was having problems finding the sensitivity settings because, even though the manual says that it picks up motion at a maximum of 25 feet, my was picking up the neighbor across the street that is around 100 feet. I had to knock mine down to sensitivity 2 in order to only pick up motion from the walkway to my porch.

Thanks for your informative video, re the volume settings when I slide to reduce the volume it makes no difference to the actual bell sound ...
Make sure that you are running the latest version of the App, and that the Doorbell firmware is also up to date.

Hello, thank you for the video. Question, what is the range of the motion detection? Example, my Ring doorbell I could adjust so it captures motion in say a 10 foot radius. Does the same apply with Blink? If I have sensitivity set to 5, is that 5 feet or? Thank you!
The range of any motion detection regardless if it is a Ring Doorbell, Blink Camera, or any other camera is not based on distance, but percentage of screen coverage. For example if you set the sensitivity to very low when a small pet passes across the scene even at a 5 feet distance it will not trigger the motion sensor, however a very large truck 30 feet away could still trigger it. The reason for this is the percentage of screen coverage of a large truck is much higher even when it's far away compared to a small pet nearby.

Question: I have a Blink doorbell and one mini camera set up. I would like the doorbell to have motion detection enabled but I don't want the mini camera to be armed. Can I separate them?
Thank you, and yes you can turn off the motion sensor or have it set to a very low sensitivity. You can also stop the smartphone notifications from one or more cameras.

Unfortunately you can't so that, because the battery will not last more than a week.

Weird problem with my Blink doorbell that I installed 2 months ago. People don’t seem to know where to push on it. People come to the door, push on it, but nothing happens. It's all recorded. I go out and test it and it works fine. I have the white doorbell working with battery only (not hardwired). I think they push on the camera lens.
I would make a sticker pointing where to push. Pushing on the camera will eventually damage the camera lens, and make things worse.

Unfortunately, you can't have a continuous feed from any battery-powered cameras because the battery will run out in less than a week.
However, you could do so using an externally powered blink camera.

When I had my Iphone it would notify me with a sound when motion detected. Now I have an android and I don't get a sound notification so I don't know if it got triggered when I'm not home. What do I have to do to get a sound notification?
In addition to enabling the notification on the Blink App, you also need to go to your Android Settings and allow the Blink App to send you notification.
I'm using the mini as a chime for my Blink doorbell. There's a bad lag, about 30 to 45 seconds once the doorbell is pushed. The wifi connection is full bars and I have very strong internet. Any suggestions?
This happened to me once, I changed the Doorbell batteries and the problem was fixed. However the batteries that I took out of it were still good. So I am guessing just the removal and reinsertion of the batteries might have fixed it.

Question Sir, so my blink has been working perfectly fine recording live and clips as well. Only thing that happen today it suddenly stopped recording clips it still records live motions but no longer clips

Please make sure the system is Armed and not accidentally disarmed. You can Arm and Disarm from the Blink App on your smartphone.

Make sure to add the Doorbell camera on your Blink App otherwise it will not see it.
How do I turn off the outdoor chime on the doorbell? I do not want it make a sound when the doorbell idle pressed. Thanks
On the blink app go to your Doorbell, then settings then Audio Settings, and set the Ringer Volume to zero. Do Not set the Speaker volume to zero or else you will not be able to speak to visitors at your door.

When you are on Live View you need to tap the Microphone Icon at the bottom center to activate 2 way audio.
Is the blink camera discrete ? Does it make any sounds? Led light is visible? Can we disable all that ? Thank you

The blink camera is not discrete, it has an LED light which can be turned OFF via Application Software. However the clicking sound that activates the Night Vision LED is very loud and one can hear it. For example even if you turn off the LED lights you can still hear the camera switch to night-vision mode when you turn off the lights.
My LED light doesn’t work when it’s movement ! Where is the setting to turn it on please 🙏 thx in advance
Make sure to adjust the sensitivity to higher level, also enable night vision.
Can I make a indoor and an outdoor zones so I can turn on the outdoor cameras and keep the indoor off ?
You can create two locations one for all your indoor cameras, and the other for all your outdoor cameras. Then you can Arm and Disarm each location independently. I do that with my office cameras and home cameras.

I have blink mini cameras and I have to turn the motion on and off every morning for them to start working. I have tried reaching out to Blink but am not getting an effective answer. What am I doing wrong?
I am not too impressed with these cameras either; I think the old Amazon Cameras were much better. Try updating the firmware of each camera and see if that will fix the problem.

Hi, yes it is very easy, you simply install the blink app on all the phones and use the same user name and password to login. Multiple user can use it simultaneously.

To be honest I am not impressed with these cameras either, mine randomly ignores motion and will not record events despite being armed with full internet signal strength.
Why can’t I adjust my zones after I’ve subscribed to the basic plan??
You need to login to the App after the subscription with your new user ID and Password which is linked to the subscribed account
What does the ir intensity do?
Infra Red Intensity is the amount of Infrared Illumination at night so that the camera can see in complete darkness. The higher the intensity the more battery consumption will be.

Yes you can, simply reduce the sensitivity slider to lower level. Don't put to the very low or else even an intruder could slip by without any notification to you.

But the moment he caught sight of the camera's LED, he bolted off quicker than a scared squirrel. Luckily, he didn't get far, but it's a bit of a downer that the low setting meant he was up to no good for a bit before he noticed. Now, I don't have clear footage to hand over to the cops. I've bumped the sensitivity up to level 2, but now every passing car's setting off alerts. Talk about a double-edged sword!
@@HeyYall398 I agree it is a faulty design, and what a joke the battery life is. They claim it can last up to 2 years; I have been changing the batteries every month.

How do I do live view?
Choose the camera from the app, then click on the image of the Camcorder on the left side of the image. If you click on the camera icon on the right it will take a still image.
