Ian is the most versatile performers I've ever known - Many styles; musically, fashion, hair, vocally & still looks & dances Amazingl!!! He's having a blast - Gooo Ian, Yeah! ~ Peace Brother 😎
I was in my second year in University. And it was during that 1 month before the exams when you study all day long. Totally depressed, somewhere around 11pm I went to check what was on TV. It was THAT. I felt like there was magic entering in me. Man, what an experience.
'Always trying to find a fuckin easy way outta here ' Ain't that the truth!! Big love for The Cult! Ian Astbury was probably the most handsome man in rock back in the 80s. Brilliant frontman and singer, and Billy Duffy's a brilliant guitarist! Great iconic band.
It would be a lot more transcendental if that idiot drummer wasn't beating the hell out of his drums. It's absurd and kills any vibe in the songs. He acts like some kid who just got his first kit.
Saw The Cult 1986 + 1992 @Pinkpop Geleen. 1989 @ Rijnhal Arnhem with Aerosmith. Legendary concerts. @ Ian - Billy- Jamie(1986+1989) You gave f******* great Performances. Thank you very very very much. 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍🇱🇺🇱🇺
This band has always had the ability to effortlessly go with the flow, to transition and adapt to the ever changing music scene of that era. The Cult and their music are truly extraordinary. Ian Astbury is such a very unique and entertaining FRONTMAN with his exceptional stage presence, showmanship, good looks, and amazing dance moves. Love this cool dance intro.❣️
@Lesley Wynter its true once you are aware of other realms you can never go to sleep again. Jim Morrison was aware to the extreme and I think its what screwed him up. It screws us all up because its the truth and its hard to see. Once you see the truth you can never unsee it. it scars you for life.
+FreeMTrider yeah but the cult arent 70s and not grunge....its all gd..luv the band.. seenem twice in april...this year it was the sons of anarchy apparrel...do it jax
Yeah...I agree. I always thought of them as their own style. I was just glad they didn't make any music like a Poison or Warrant type of band, but that year's festival was pretty much all early 90s bands I believe. The Cult have always been one of my fav.
+FreeMTrider actually they kinda did..lol...go watch Heart of Soul by the Cult right now...skid row riffs/hair metal ballad..lol..i liked it but i also like ratt dokken and tesla..hey props to them..they changed their styles/music writing to each era and survived .im stoked
Divine interpretation of an immortal classic song No rock band has ever come closer to God… 🐃👑
froms 80s big hair & makeup to grunge look... these guys have been kicking it for over 30 years!
The 80s look fits them better than the flanels t shirt and destroyed jeans but anyways their sound always classic
They rock
More billy wizz than e.
Ian is the most versatile performers I've ever known - Many styles; musically, fashion, hair, vocally & still looks & dances Amazingl!!! He's having a blast - Gooo Ian, Yeah! ~ Peace Brother 😎
One of rock's greatest bands...loud and proud!
Ian had stage presence, one of the best.
He's still alive
@@iRideuWatch Thank you
@@jaynedough4713 😄
had?
They were banned at Pinkpop after this concert because they refused to leave the stage. Rock n roll!
Rockdabox X 😂😂😂😂😂 aaannnnnd...... the problem....??😂😂😂😂
What was the issue then??
I'm not surprised as it looks like they had a good time.
They went overtime
They should have just let The Cult continue as long as they wanted to because most other bands will never come close to their amazing sound.
Simply Fantástic line up: 🎵🎼🎶🎤🎸😎👊
Michael Lee on drums "R.i.p"🎼🎶😎👊

I fucking LOVE The Cult.
LOVE THE DANCE AT 2:55 !!!!!
They all look high enough 👍🤘
Still a live performance mystical almost transcendental that only rock music can convey, obviously from the Cult...🐃👑
It would be a lot more transcendental if that idiot drummer wasn't beating the hell out of his drums. It's absurd and kills any vibe in the songs. He acts like some kid who just got his first kit.
Thuis concert I remember from my young dans. Perfect show!

Pupils dilated to the hilt.

They behaved like real gentleman all day backstage. Half an hour before the show a pharmacy went down or up! Best show ever!

God, I love you, Ian! keeping the spirit of Jim Morrison alive.lol! I love Jim too! We need to keep the earth alive! our mother. peace and love!
@Lesley Wynter how so?
@Lesley Wynter its true once you are aware of other realms you can never go to sleep again. Jim Morrison was aware to the extreme and I think its what screwed him up. It screws us all up because its the truth and its hard to see. Once you see the truth you can never unsee it. it scars you for life.
Plus. Jim was a genius who also had a disease called alcoholism. In the end, his proclivity for excess is what got the best of him.
@Lesley Wynter Well said. He chose a path of darkness and never came back.
The Cult pra sempre
yeaaa i was there..
!!
Simply the best live rock of all time, obviously from the cult...🐃👑
MICHAEL LEE AND KINLEY WOLFE. WOW!
I was there, great show Mr Pinkpop himself (Mart Smeets) was very angry. Ill never contract them again. Wha wa wha.

fuckin awesome that
te gek concert van the cult, waarom nog niet op dvd, dit is toch genieten, ook na 12 uur?
was this really 20 years ago?
Spiritual. For real.
Pure Bliss!!… Ian is God!
I still think there is a possibility, that at least a handful of those in attendance could have been all hopped up on narcotics, maybe even booze.
anyone know if there is a full video of this concert available
BOSS302 KMK here... enjoy! Great gig. ua-cam.com/video/c9ZeCth7jAA/v-deo.html
Great interpretation, song💕i Like ... but.... IAN ? Comportement.... is naturally here, or Alcohol, Drugs ? Love 2022 always the « CULT Band »💋🎶
Asbury is the Gary Busey of rock n roll.
grunge plaid shirts..eek
+jimmy shine Flannel was very popular in the 70s too. Nothing new really, just back to basics during that time.
+FreeMTrider yeah but the cult arent 70s and not grunge....its all gd..luv the band.. seenem twice in april...this year it was the sons of anarchy apparrel...do it jax

jimmy shine Baked or raw grunge or rock Ian has it all. Animal magnatism is his appeal
Nice dance moves 🤣🤣
Como se sale este pedazo de grupo
NIRVANA grunge style
epic
DOes anyone know the name of the bass player?
Kinley Wolfe
Who's playing bass here?
They played Rock You like a Hurricane. One of their very best. Then ended the show with Once Bitten Twice Shy. 👌
What???? 😂
Got the lyrics wrong
This sounds like Black Sabbath fused with The Doors.
What kind of drugs did Ian take?
Llllliiiiiiiiinnnnnnnddddddeeooooo
Bubnjar IZUVA!!!!
Then you see the 1% paid trolls looking for anything real to buy? Do what you must.
As long as it's well above sea level we are looking?
👀
He keeps telling me to stop looking for easy ways out. "Not even the dirty shirt on your back kid" Feel my pain you >>>>> lol
Esto es the cult versión grunge
i love these guys isnt billy duffy hair the coolest
compared to the shit music nowadays sad
vind het maar een afgang
Ian was a bit drunken
Why would any headliner want to perform after Pearl Jam’s set?
Well, The Cult didn't seem to have much of a problem, but I do imagine it could have been daunting for many bands.
Played their arses off. Brilliant especially Sun King
😡
Coke. Or something ..
Probably Pepsi and something...... lol
ridiculous how they changed their whole look to "Grunge" all of a sudden - jumping on the bandwagon?
I hope you have learned how dumb your comment is after five years.... Don't trust me though, find out for your self, it ain't that hard.
Ridiculous comment!
that was pretty terrible
