This is definitely a cute historical area but y’all need to link up with a local and have them explain to you what it’s REALLY like here. I can tell ya how hot and muggy it is during summer and the only way you’re gonna cool off is if you out playing on the river or sitting inside in the air conditioning. I like going up to Styx River with my friends and go tubing all day to cool off. And those pterodactyl of mosquitoes ain’t no joke! And that’s not the only thing biting out here. Definitely gotta do a list of the cons living out here. Summer in the Deep South ain’t nothing like summer in Chicago. As someone who grew up here I’ll gladly show you where I go and what me and mines do to have fun living down here. Could show ya plenty more hole in the wall places to discover too. Places you’d only know of if you live here your whole life. It truly is magical if you know where to look. But for me it’s just old stomping grounds and familiar faces we grew up with and all know round here.
