Fairhope downtown near Another Broken Egg, That one block reminds me a bit of the tourist towns in Colorado. The pretty colors on the buildings, flowers, and overall look is kinda like Breckenridge or Estes Park Colorado. (Without the mountains of course) The park by the Fountain on the bay is beautiful.
We, me and the wife, have visited Fairhope this April. It was our favorite place out of all we visited during our Miami-Austin road trip! Can confirm, people are super friendly!

Im a year away from retiring and UNFORTUNATELY from California! 🤮..getting away from the political agendas and moronic governor! Looking for a Conservative place to live and some normalcy as in Families, good Schools, and Church. Ive been researching Fairhope and ill be visiting soon! I cant wait

Is Fairhope near a military hospital and medical center?
Several! Mobile, Pensacola, and Biloxi. Biloxi being the parent, and they're all within an hour.
