Robert was one of my all time favorite contestants on this show. Just listen to him at 3:15, “you can really turn this around if you want to”, not everyone is going to try and lift someone up and encourage them when they’re really struggling, especially in a competition where there’s only one winner with big money involved at the end. I was so sorry for him when he was ill and had to leave the show. And i loved him this season. Its a real shame he wasn't the same during his comeback season

@@darkzezak8678 just because its exaggerated in hells kitchen, doesnt mean it would be a small thing in real life. If Robert felt this kind of shit outside of HK, he truly needed a doctor or psychiatrist
It's next to impossible for anyone, whether a regular bystander or a professional social worker, to show any amount of empathy when they themselves are experiencing any sort of anger or irritation at all. Every psychologist and social worker knows this. Chef Ramsay, one of the greatest chefs in the world, is no social worker, but he recognized, *in the moment*, that he was not ready to have any sort of heart-to-heart with anyone. So he practiced a great deal of restraint in simply saying "Later. Not now. I can't deal with this."
He said thats something he wanst to speak with him privately. What exactly was he suppose to to? Stop the filming part with the group talk to Robert then come back? No he waited till after everything was done like any normal human.
They recorded the “1 on 1” talk to show you that in actuality Gordon is an actual human being and not just the “asshole” you see on tv. The hard ass persona is just for his shows he’s actually a really good family man outside of tv 🤙🏼
If you want to see the real Gordon just watch the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares. He's actually a pretty down to earth and compassionate person when the producers aren't telling to have an aneurysm every 5 minutes for ratings.

Probably depends on the PTSD I mean a simple name like that is something that can easily end up happening without the knowledge like what was shown. I however have to work with someone who does suffer from PTSD but the physical type where I fear for my job every time that person is working.
A good man is always able to admit to their mistakes. Some men only get close to apologizing by saying "I'm sorry you took it that way", rather than apologizing for the actions themselves. That shows that they care more about their pride than other people's feelings. But Gordon is not like that. He values Robert and knows where he's coming from with his triggers based on his own experience. He doesn't dismiss him, and instead validates what he's dealing with.
I mean why would you apologize for something you didn't know was wrong? If someone thinks that something they did was wrong when they did it and they did it anyway that's when it calls for a apology of your own actions.
@@gwentarinokripperinolkjdsf683 if someone says "I'm sorry you took it that way" or "I'm shocked that you feel that way" thats basically trying to deflect their actions and make it seem like it's the victim fault for pointing it out or feeling that way. That's gaslighting

Wait, there’s a problem with that rice?? That means I’ve been eating over cooked rice my whole life. No wonder it’s feels different when I’m eating rice in a good restaurant.
It's mainly a matter of using the correct amount of water though. If you use to much you will get VERY soggy rice and if you use to little it will burn before it's done. Rice is fairly easy, but so many people treat it like it's pasta which it just is not.
@@Robloxchat123 Plain white rice = carbs Try parboiled rice. Way more nutrients than white rice, almost as much as brown, and a lower insulin response than either.

I love Ramsay because while he is mean and yells at the chefs, it's only because these people come to his show, not only KNOWING how he is, but by signing to be on they are telling Ramsay, "I'm a good chef who knows what I'm doing."
He's different on each of his shows. With Hell's Kitchen these are supposedly experienced cooks who should know what they're doing. With Master Chef they are just starting out. Of course Gordon would show the newer cooks more mercy and patience
He's much more mellowed down on some of the other shows. Like the UK version of kitchen nightmares (if I'm remembering correctly) They amp it up for drama, especially for shows in the US. There are many things I've seen with him being pretty much the opposite. Just depends on who it is I guess.

*Shown in Video:* Chef J gets his ass handed to him in a chat with Gordon Ramsay
*and shows 30 second chat at the end
Hey atleast its quality content
That was the emotional chat, just anger instead of compassion
I feel like they just need to make a video over 5 minutes every time. Every video of their's shows a bunch of nonsense before the actual title reference.
It would have been so messed up if they titled this “Chef Bobby”
LOL
I'm glad Gordon immediately caved into his mistake, respectable man.
EDIT: Don't read these replies lmao
It wasn’t caving into any mistake. Gordon did not make a mistake, given that the guy never told him before why calling him “Bobby” was not a good thing. The guy finally told him and Gordon said OK, no problem I will not call you that. No mistake made at any point.
@@gentlemanjim480 His name isn't Bobby regardless, it's Robert. He never once consented to the nickname "Bobby", Gordon shouldn't be calling him that anyway, it's a nickname. Gordon kicked a chef out for calling someone "Zacky Wacky" so this should be no different.
@@TrueSargent
There's a difference between calling someone "Bobby" or calling someone "Zacky Wacky". Zacky Wacky is clearly an insult, and Bobby isn't.
@@magic75450 if you think Zacky Wacky is an insult to a grown man trying to win the chance to shape his life, you're lost.
@ididaflip We've almost always had to, never hear someone say "you cool if I call you ?" If not, you're outta touch.
Robert was one of my all time favorite contestants on this show. Just listen to him at 3:15, “you can really turn this around if you want to”, not everyone is going to try and lift someone up and encourage them when they’re really struggling, especially in a competition where there’s only one winner with big money involved at the end. Just shows that Robert had integrity and character and was just an all around decent person.
I was so sorry for him when he was ill and had to leave the show. And i loved him this season. Its a real shame he wasn't the same during his comeback season
Honestly only ever watch clips of this online so I don’t know the whole show but that moment stood out. I was on Team Robert then. Champion humaning there!
He's a bit of a dick when he comes back a couple seasons later sadly

I respect Gordon for being so understanding with Robert. You may hate his guts, but he's an compassionate person.
You should see the look of Ramsey's four month old baby getting his first hair cut that baby has his father's ticked off look it was so cute.
He's not always respectful though because of what he says to his chefs

He then realised that he f****d up on what he did to Robert and always never call anyone by names that they do like to be called by

It sounds so wrong " took him to the storage room" lmao

Yeah exactly, we all have dark shadows and Gordon definitely has a few. Pretty sure his brother has had some abusive drug issues in the past as well.
He did. He also described his father as a hard drinking womanizer. Now that’s bad ! And I guess Robert had a similar relationship with his own father.

ME TOO! I FELT SO HAPPY WHEN I SAW THIS. I saw a video where Gordon was calling him Bobby and I hoped that Robert told him why he wasnt responding.
Maltese Girl why doesn’t he like it?
