    Hi! I loved your review of the Tripped Travel Gear sets. I purchased the same compressor bag set as you did and the toiletry set as well. Question: On the toiletry set can you tell me what the two straps on the back are for? I’m not sure how I should use it. I look forward to your response. Thank you!

      Hope you enjoy them like I do! I personally use the straps for easy grabbing and carrying (since toiletry cases can be heavy or lumpy) out of my suitcase. Specifically, you can use the clear one with the buckle strap to hang it up on a towel rod (or on the back of a backpack). Lastly, I actually also used the clear one this spring as a clear purse to attend my cousin's college graduation in a large stadium, since the venue only allowed clear purses for security.

    I use compression cubes and regular packing cubes. You have to be careful in checked baggage to not be over the weight limit because while you can pack more in the compression cubes they make your baggage weigh more. Just a consideration.

      This is SO TRUE! Thanks for mentioning it. It's easy for the weight to creep up when you can pack a lot of stuff in.

    Thank you. I have the landscape compression cubes and bought the bucket list set for my daughter. We will be trying them out this summer on a trip to Iceland. The toiletries bag is next.

    Hey Eliz, Harriet and I use Tripped Gear all the time when we travel. Tim and Finn turned us on to it. We know them and followed them for many years on UA-cam. Great Quality Stuff.
    What I might add to the various packing cubes is to label them with the exception of your valuables i.e. shirts, cosmetics, pants dirty laundry etc. Very Thoughtful and Informative video.
    Sending you much love😍😍😍 from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki

    The content of your video was grey. I have the state park packing cubes and they’re great! As a headphones listener, your audio was all over the place. It was at a different level at every cut making it harder to focus on what you were saying. Check the leveling in your final edit or perhaps get a different mic. Thanks for putting this together!

    I actually have the backpack (which tore on a hike) and the toiletries bag which I ABSOLUTELY love. W the other two bags it comes with. Very good quality and practical.

      Oh no! So sorry to hear about the backpack! We just took it to Guatemala and it held up well. Glad you’re liking the other pieces!

    Thanks for the video I was thinking about getting a packing cube set so great information.
    Our thoughts for our USA holiday/s are New England in the Autumn but also doing the Pacific North West for the football World Cup 2024 and sight seeing.

      Perfect timing it sounds like! I believe they're available in the UK! And that US trip sounds like a great plan! New England in the autumn is heavenly, but just be sure to book early since it's a really popular place for leaf peeping! The Pacific Northwest is a great idea to pair with that because it's still mountainous with good hiking, but will give you a totally different culture. If you like coffee and wine, that area of the country has great options for both!

    Regarding the toiletry bag, is the hook sturdy and does it hold up well. Thanks!

    • @MeansToTravel
      @MeansToTravel  Рік тому

      It’s sturdy enough for holding up lot’s of things without being metal! That said, it’s still plastic, so I wouldn’t attempt to put 20 lbs of weight or an extremely heavy load for it to hold. Hope that helps!

    I recently used the TSA approved pouch in my carryon luggage at Heathrow, with no trouble. Love the toiletries bag it works so well, this time in my checked luggage and can be packed zipped open to lay flatter in the suitcase.

    • @MeansToTravel
      @MeansToTravel  6 місяців тому

      So great to hear that! Has Heathrow gotten rid of the requirement for everyone to use their specific plastic bags at security? I've always hated having to transfer all of my stuff to and from their plastic baggies.

    • @valirani4657
      @valirani4657 6 місяців тому

      @@MeansToTravel They still offer plastic bags for toiletries but if your bag complies near enough as mine did I think it is ok, but please check the Heathrow regulations to be sure, I was only an ordinary passenger.
