While im with everyone in the comments that their relationship is foul its very true to a storyline in the comics and the fact they told this story in their revival takes balls to do i cannot be mad at them giving flaws beyond her powers that shes quite selfish yet sympathetic. Gambit is my favorite X-Men though so seeing him so torn up about it makes me sad as well.
Let's do the one where Xavier strangles his twin in the womb Or mutant hatred being because of a microbial racist Or Mystique being a canon prolific Grapist and deadbeat mother/father
Well... it won't happen. Unless this story is Age of Apocalypse (which I highly doubt). In the original line, Gambit and Rogue will get back together despite everything.
You know, it is better that the two talk about things in a mature way rather than hide things from each other. That's what is important here. While sure , they will or they won't is always a thing, in this this shows that the melodrama of characters in love, having difficulty, doesn't have to be screaming match, cussing, physical aggression, and displays a more socially acceptable way to resolve relationship conflict. One speaks. One listens. No interruptions. Boundaries reset or maintianed.
Never let the girl you love disrespect you by telling her what she did with another man but wouldn't with you. That will eat you up inside and that is a fact. Best thing to do is exactly what gambit did and walk away. You shouldn't let this person get any emotionally close to you again and keep things as friends at best. You run a huge gamble of hoping things get better because she can do a 180 and go back to the person she said yes to. Respect yourself by putting boundaries on stuff like this.
I love Remy and I love this couple. Rogue sure messed up BIG time, but I think it's true to her comic self (which was always far from perfect), and also realistic. Her emotions got better of her and she made a mistake, we have all been there one way or another. And she suffers because of that, rightfully so. I like this plot. It's mature and complicated.
@@alicianieto2822 Well, they had on and off relationship for years, and Rogue kinda dated a lot of characters while obviously being in love with Gambit, most notably, Magneto's clone, Joseph. I mean, we all know who her true love is, but this relationship has always been difficult and very rocky, with numerous flings on the side. I agree. It's like Disney want an excuse to create this love triangle cliche which is cringe at least for me. She doesn't really care about him in 90's series. So why now? Because they want to create another Scott, Jean and Logan kinda drama

Gambit is my favorite X-Men though so seeing him so torn up about it makes me sad as well.

But she did hide it for a while lol, earlier it is pointed out Rogue and Magneto had many sessions in the Danger Room that were made private.

Omg Rogue take responsibility for your actions because you are going to SUFFER badly because of your HYPOCRISY
Idk, her comic self was always loyal to a patological degree, at least under Claremont, I have a hard time seeing this too in character...
@@alicianieto2822 Well, they had on and off relationship for years, and Rogue kinda dated a lot of characters while obviously being in love with Gambit, most notably, Magneto's clone, Joseph. She fought with Dazzler over Longshot iirc, had a few dates with Colossus. Heck, even her and Deadpool was a thing.
I mean, we all know who her true love is, but this relationship has always been difficult and very rocky, with numerous flings on the side. I kinda dislike they went for Magneto of all people with her, but I can see where this was coming from. I hope we will get happy ending for Gambit and Rogue eventually, but it's not a bad thing that they will get there not easily.

I dont know why people are complaining. The Gambit-Rogue-Magneto love triangle was firmly established for decades. Hell, she was married to Magneto in Age of Apocalypse, which us one of the most popular x-men stories.
I'm not complaining. But damm, considering what happened in this episode. This scene becomes even more tragic. He loved her first, she loved him too late.
The Gambit-Rogue-Magneto didn't happen until the mid and late 2000s, and even then it made no sense. Throughout the 90s nothing was ever shown or stated that there was a love triangle and the AoA is not canon, it's popular for other reasons.
I don't know... Maybe because it's DUMB. Like Supergirl being in love with a horse. That was actually in DC comics. Do you want some Supergirl shows to focus on that?
