  • Junkers JU 87, well known as Stuka, is probably most iconic airplane for Second World War first phase. In this video, you are going to watch how I build and paint cockpit, whole building airplane process, paint and weathering of Jumo engine, and how I weather the high explosive German bombs…I hope you enjoy the watching!

    Finally! I have a vintage 1:24 scale Ju87B Stuka that I want to build and now have a channel to watch for inspiration. The model belonged to my step father whom recently passed away and I want to do my best in building the plane in his honor. Got my sub for sure.

      thank you James, you words make me fell so motivate to continue uploading new videos. 1:24 is a so unsual scale (but it sounds so interesting too), is it the airfix one?

    That was close to being a BONDO job on the cowling! Came out excellent along with the engine. Beautiful PE work in the pit and on the wings. I hardly add bombs, YOU super detail them, NICE! That's pretty close to not needing paint. Part II will have to wait though, I have a full scale fence to paint {I wish I was kidding} Looks FANTASTIC!

      hahaha :D. Yes, so many times I have seen, in exhibitions, excellent dive bombers kits with a bit poor quality bombs, probably that it's reason because I'm a bit obssesive with them.. I'm really happy that you enjoy with my videos, In not so much time I will post my new BF 109 E-4 I hope you'll like it too!

    Great build. Because of the softness of the plastic you don't need all those different grit sanders just use the finest grit you have.

    • @TurbineModels
      @TurbineModels  6 років тому +1

      thank you BennyCFD!, I really appreciate your comment. If you want to achive a good result is necessary to use at least two different grit sanders, last one with so finest grit (1800/2000) is only to polish the surface :)

      Thank you very much Luigi. In cockpit I used RLM02 (40%)+flat white (60%)....For engine I used a Vallejo paint called "orly steel".

    Thanks for sharing! Awesome work!
    What did you use at 12:04 and which thin plastic piece did you use at 12:08?

    • @TurbineModels
      @TurbineModels  5 років тому +1

      Firstable I used white putty from tamiya and I removed the excess with acetone.
      The thin plastic was made heating the plastic with a light and streching it.
      Regards!!!

      Turbine Models
      Hi!, I use Tamiya clear varnish or acrilic Vallejo gloss varnish

      @@TurbineModels can you use a laquer gloss to?

    • @TurbineModels
      @TurbineModels  6 років тому

      Yes, you can if you are going to use enamel washes because thinner to clean enamel washes don't affect to laquer (altough, you should to let dry the gloss laquer 10-12 hours before apply the washes)

    How do you attach the windscreen and fair it into the surrounding area? Thanks.

    • @TurbineModels
      @TurbineModels  4 роки тому

      I usually do with a very small quantity of Tamiya extra thin glue...but If you dont have so much experience, I recommend you to use white glue (a method with less risk)

      Yes, right now I’m doing a Hawker Hurricane of Italeri and I agree with you, it has a good amount of bugs...however, I strongly recomend you the Stuka, it was easy to build and so accurate too
