This is superior extra effort into the weathering, small detail painting and in use wear and tare. You've got a ton of talent, and each model shows your passion for the hobby. Beautiful Stuka! Congrats
Thanks for your video, I've had a Stuka project with just part of the cockpit completed and I've been looking at it for months for inspiration. I think that frustration just took over. After watching your technique for building and painting I feel inspired to finish it! Thank you
Very nice build. And..... bravo... you did something I hardly see anyone doing, you stenciled all the markings & insignia. That makes it look soooo much better. Also, you showed me the extra little bit my piston aircraft have been missing with the exhaust. I always just go straight to the black. Adding the earth under tones really picks it up to the level of realism I’ve been racking my brain for years how to get. Thank you. Just one thing that got me through. I’m not so sure that with the undercarriage design of the ‘Stuka’, that there would be so much dirt staining under the wings. I could be definitely be wrong, but just seemed to be a bit much. Again, really a very nice build. I enjoyed the build series on this. Thanks for sharing your work. 👍👍
I keep watching your videos, mate. Fantastic job, well done! I’ve just started working on an Italeri model, the D-5 (no.2709). This is my restart after 30 years. I remember, when I was just a kid, how simple everything used to be. Didn’t even dare to dream about accessories, photo etched parts etc. I could only afford 1:72 scale models, used my grandfather’s oil paints, mixed the colours myself if I had to. I smeared the ashes of used matches onto the wings at the guns. The outcome was simple but I could just look at my models for hours.Matchbox was my favourite brand. I’m very excited to learn all these new techniques. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you your nice words Gergely!, I started building kit being so young too and I stopped for almost 20 year before to come back again :) Enjoy with you D-5! and if I can help you in some way, please tell me! Good luck!!
I just came across your channel and really enjoyed your Stuka build. The process was clearly outlined and I picked up a tip or two which I'll try on my next build. I look forward to seeing what else is coming in 2019.
Thank you very much Robert :), I'm happy if you found my channel useful and interesting. For next year I'm going to finish my T34...And I'm thinking to build some aircrafts related to The Battle of Britain (maybe a Hurricane, Spitfire MK or Bf109 E...)
Top quality build mate. Something you should be very proud of. Looking forward to more videos from you in the future! Particularly Luftwaffe subjects = D
It's the old molds from Airfix and shows its age: minimal cockpit detail, raised rivets and poor fit here and there, but by no means the kit deserves the bad reputation it has. Personally, I found particularly annoying the lack of engine but other than that all shortcomings are easy to deal with. Anyhow, Airfix has released already a newly tooled kit that looks fantastic. I build it for a GB just to take it out of my stash - otherwise it would never have seen daylight again :) I like much better the Italeri you're building by comparison with what I had.
I didnt see the new one from airfix but to be honest, i like it so much the italeri one, so nice fit and very good detail level....:) Now I’m building a t34/76 mod 1942 the AFV, I recomend you so much if you are thinking to build a tank soon, really it’s a very nice kit
It looks very good in your hands that Italeri, I have to agree. Unfortunately Italeri is a hit and miss experience :( but I would gladly build their Italian armor... I really hope one day they will release the upgraded molds for Ariete and such... even the AB 40/41 which are nowadays a little difficult to find and obsolete. Yes, I intend to to a T-35 at some point and thank you for the recommendation. I just finished today Tamiya Mitsubishi Type 16 MCV and it was an absolute joy to build it. The next step is a Fokker Eindecker EIII (also Airfix) for a campaign... KUTGW! You're a very talented and experienced modeler. Thank you for sharing your experiences!
Thank you so much Joe. Yes, it's the Italian version but The Italeri mould used in Picchiatello is the same that Ju-87 B. I think you are gonna enjoy a lot with it! :)
Great work turbine. I love finding new talent and channels to watch and learn from, picking up some new techniques from your show. I'd like to ask where do you get your stencils for all your paint on markings, can you buy them or do you cut your own. Specifically the stencil just forward of the canopy. Cheers.
Hi MrDanozz!, Thank you for your nice words :). Sometime ago I built my owns marks but now I prefer buy them, If you are specially interested in canopy ones you should look for brand like Pmask, Eduard or Montex...all of them are not so difficult to find online and if you live in Europe I recommend you the following shop: www.super-hobby.com. Cheers!
Most excellent weathering and painting! Some of the very best I have seen. One minor point though...Did you paint the rubber boots on the undercarriage spat legs, just above the spats? It didn't seem so. They were left unpainted ( rubber black ) as the solvent in Luftwaffe Paints used would attack the rubber over time. Sorry, Can't post photos 0f them on Tew-Lube!
@@TurbineModels On further checking, the rubber boots were only found on later models of the Ju 87 (the D and G models specifically.) There was a change to the U/C fairings and spats, and or the removal of the spats also affected this. In the B models the fairing was able to compress with the hydraulics of the leg, and not foul itself on the outer fairing. I am working on a D model and just started the B-1 fromAirfix so had to go back to check my references.
Hi Domme!, thank you for your comment. Answering your question, usually I prefer dont use thinner to remove the excess wash, however sometimes, If I wait too much or if surface is not enough glossy, I use a brush slightly wet in thinner...
@@TurbineModels hi buddy . I generally don't like any finish flat or gloss coat . I takes a little the depth away you like to create. Unless you let your kids play with it :)
Hahaha, yes, probably you are right, but I use gloss varnish to get a better surface to apply washes...and In this scale (1/48) I dont like so much glossy finish that it is reason because I needed to apply another one flat coat...anyway,I like so much your opinión. Thank you!
Is it me , but I think a lot of paint jobs are starting to look a bit cartoonish, a bit overdone, maybe it’s just me,I don’t know anymore. But when I was younger modelling was fun, now it looks like fucking hard work.
Hahaha, but Robin you can do what you want...My channel only shows a way yo do it, not the right one 😀, if you want, you can only glue it and paint it with a simple brush. Its just a hobby and hobbies must be funny, to me it’s funny spend several hours working hard, building and painting my kits...
NOTE: The propeller blades of the Ju 87B-2 / R-2 Stuka were made of pressed wood, not metal. Thanks!

Sehr schöne Arbeit!
Awesome work! Just started mine this evening! However, I have the Italeri Ju-87 B-2 "Picchiatello"
Thank you so much Joe. Yes, it's the Italian version but The Italeri mould used in Picchiatello is the same that Ju-87 B. I think you are gonna enjoy a lot with it! :)
Im probably going to buy that one
outstanding great modeling I like it

Amazing work! Is there any models where you don’t have to paint the plane? I mean I just don’t have the right equipment.
good job!
Thank you so much!
How did you get the nose cone on the propeller to turn out so well?
Hi Dave, I used the Tamiya masking tape to do it
👍👍👍
Awesome work! Sub done ;)
Thank you mate!!
How long have you been paintbrushing to get those tones and mixes
Not so much, 3 hours in total (including lower and upper side, masking time, base colour, lights and shadows...)
A great build, but the video could’ve been shorter with the same result.
hahahaha, thank you Peter!, I know that you are not so happy with long videos ;)
Is this a "Battle of Britain" Stuka?
fliegeroh yes, at least it try to be a kit of a junker ju 87 B..why?
fliegeroh 🙂
do u use matt colours
Yes, I use tamiya matt paints :)
@@TurbineModels oh shit i allready ordered normal colours online, bot thanks next time ill use matts thank u very much
hi great build! what did you use to wipe off the excess wash? did you use a dry towel or did you put thinner on it?

You are wellcome! :)
Just a wow
Thank you so much! 🙂
music?
Sorry Jesús, what do you mean?
Fantastic work. I just don't like the clear coat...
Thank you for your feedback!!!. I apply clear varnish only before to use enamel washes...but, to finish, I always sprayed flat varnish coat 🙂

I don't have the patience to paint a model 15 times.

no, it's not the reality, it is only a piece of plastic :)
Fabulous work,,but for fuck sake lose the music,,
thank you mate. I'm trying to use less noisy music in my current videos :)
Why do almost all of these expert videos have great content and horrible music?
