    3:33 The AK Engine Wash looks great! Couldn’t one use Tamiya Brown Wash, maybe with a little Black added to darken it? Thank you for sharing these great builds!

    around the 7 minute point, you are putting in brass parts. do you need to scuff them to make them take paint? do you prime them?

    Great work! On a different subject I'm so glad Eduard is discontinuing the 1/48 FW-190D. Thats one of the worst I've ever built.

      Clear coat on a car? Actually, it is same.

      On every model planet cars
      And i use clear coates from Tamiya
      And vallejo but those i don't use them anymore
      With paint i don't have any problems
      Only the clear coat that is my main problem Plasmo

      I use clear from Mr color. Super Clear III. It is much better than Tamiya.

    I would love to know, how you get the engine serial number on ???? I have looked everywhere for deacals og masks, but can't find anything. It makes the engine look so much cooler wtih the white numbers on !!!!! PS: You are the Sensei of model building

    beautiful. any tips on airbrushing the ak stuff? have tried everything but it just keeps gumming up in my airbrush and is incredibly difficult to clean - even with lacquer thinner/cleaner

      Yes, cleaning is harsh. I ordered some original cleaner for airbrush, so maybe it will help. I do not know. I have these colors just for two weeks. I do not clean airbrush with a thinner, but I use pure water immediately after spraying.

      splod44 - There`s a UA-cam video out there somewhere that demos how to mask off a spinner and just paint the stripe on. I`ve destroyed every spiral decal I`ve ever touched....will paint from now on.

    Hey!Where is the rest of P51?On the other hand I'm glad to see that such a great modeller like yourself makes the same mistake I do: building of several models at the same time.On my bench I have an A6M5, P51 and Star Destroyer at the moment.

    I believe that German propellers were painted RLM 70, and not black. Great job with the spinner spiral decal!

      Indeed, and I think the German propellers had a special paint to not peel, I'm not sure.

      ...And made of wood. But a great tutorial on that weathering affect, though I never really cared to weather planes that much on propellers, the effect is stunning but it is unrealistic.

      PE parts are included in the kit but Eduard is making PE for f-16 in 1/48.
