Im 75 years old now and I just love all this fishing on UA-cam. Des and the other pros keep my enthusiasm boiling over and if Im not fishing Im preparing for the nesxt session . Keep them coming please 👍🏻
Nice session showing how to develop the swim without the usual filling it in. I certainly learnt something when you showed the plumbing up to half way down the stem. (approx 2" over depth). Also the controlled feeding was good. I know if the fish rocked up you would adjust the feeding to the amount of bites you would be getting. Thanks Des, another very useful video.Cheers
Great vidio Des was fishing hard pellet yesterday wish I had seen your vidio before once again never thought about laying on so much great thight lines
On my local lake Dess on certain pegs they dont fizz but plumes of mud come up on the long pole but you cant get a bite not even a liner im guessing its must be very silty or muddy on that long pole line.
I get more hook pulls using the white dura than any other elastic. Other dura strengths are fine but the white just seems to randomly lock up, even if it’s nowhere near full stretch. I reckon it happens when the elastic gets to a 90’ angle or less against the pole
We need a OUTTAKES special from Des I bet it’s brilliant. Great film chaps 👍👍. Not related but what do you use to soften wafters I’m sure you made a film about it but can’t find it?
Cheers Stephen.. we'll see what we can do. 😉 Absolute Liquid Flavour is the stuff to use. There is one to match up with every Band'Um flavour. A couple of drops and shake. 👌🏽
Wish I had seen this before yesterday😂, I need to learn patience over fed and caught more scales than fish lol, must have lost 50 to 60 pound, great info Des lessons needed I think
Hi Alan, A liner, or line bite is when you see an indication on the float or tip but it is caused by a fish swiming or brushing into your line and not a legitimate bite or take of your bait. Recognising them over a true bite saves striking and potentially fpul hooking a fish.
@@SonubaitsThanks for clearing that up. I’ve just got into fishing along with my 12 year old so we’re always watching videos trying to learn. Thought these hard pellets at this time of the year for carp maybe the way forward!?
Hi Del, Just because this was an out and out hard pellet video so the only bait being used was hard pellets in a band. The hooking a band trick works great when you are chopping and changing between hookbaits, be that corn, meat, soft/hard pellets etc so you keep the same rig on. Just for efficiency.
Y'all doing alit just to catch a carp. All you need is any type of fishing poles you like and just use corn. Y'all are taking catching carp way to serious. I'd love to have some of those small 2 - 10 inch carp to cut up for catfishing!!! Their great bait in the U.S.

Can i ask please what bait at this time of year on a commercial for carp on pole would you go for between hard pellets or expanders please?? Thanks
Hi Des, why don’t you use a pole rest ? I’m sure I would get a bad back !!

Ahh! At least you know for next time >.< 🤣
@@Sonubaits learning all the time, cheers
As newbie can you explained please what a ‘Liner’ is or line bite i assume? Sorry for such a silly question

Happens to the best and worst of us Des.
You usually hook the band, from your previous videos but today you’re using banded hair rigs. Is there any reason please.

Match fishing isn't as big In USA and carp are good weight builders & and fight well. Variety is the spice of life as they say 🎣✨️
Did he just say shit tips 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
How about a bit of proper fishing des instead of places stuffed full of carp.
