Having recently returned to fishing, I have to say lads that I've learnt so much from watching your videos. Keep up the great work and hopefully I'll have plenty more tight lines from watching the videos 👍
Why couldn’t you have released this video yesterday? Fished my last snake lake match of the year today and made loads of mistakes which were discussed in this video...Jamie & Andy would have put me right :-)
Micros will generally be the starting point, what has been working well is when that line starts dying, try feeding a tiny nugget of groundbait, the size of a grape and you'll find it is just enough to kick the peg back into life. But then go back to feeding micros, otherwise they just become a lot harder to get clean bites from.
Great tips but when carp obviously not feeding but there is bream in peg, how should I feed to maximise on them, out of desperation Sunday I balled in 3 small balls and did pull in couple proper bream, what would you have done? Cheers guys
Marc Lee really depends on the venue (depths, stock etc). Something like expander over micros, you will still catch carp when they feed but you’ll still catch the skimmers too 👍🏻
Thank you all very informative as usual, I fish lakes with mostly big carp, 0.20 and even 0.22 at times for carp between 5 and 10lb, would it be best now to drop those down to 0.16 ML and 0.15 or even 0.14 HL’s with lighter elastics ? Or is that too light or what I should have been on in the first place lol 😂
Deffo want to be dropping down for the colder months, they pull a lot less so unless you have got a lot of snags then even 0.13 would be fine in open water matched with the right elastic.
Great video loads of good advise, F1s in my local water feed well in the winter making up most catches, what would you recommend for hook bait and feed
You lads have given me the bug back big time. Used to fish Partridge lakes 2 or 3 times a week. Not wet a line for 8 year's or more. Hopefully see Andy on the bank at Partridge soon and smash him up. Oooosh 🤣👍
5:00 why? i was fishing in the 2000's and remember those days but whats caused the change? 6:00 7:38 please do a line and hooklength session as 'nicer?' stiffness? what makes the difference
@@WinningWays sorry guys ... it was such in interesting video as i wondered why fish behaviour has changed? sheer pressure and natural selection adaptation? but surely fish dont live more than 5 or 6 year years in a lake? and as line diameter is linked to confidence and you made Jamie fish with 0.20 in the winter and he still bagged up does it REALLY matter or i s it just a mental thing? giles cochrain told me he used 0.22 straight through on the bomb in the early 2000's and still got liners so thought theres no point scaling down as surely they cant see the line
I stop going around this time, it's just not worth the amount of effort you put for the fish you catch, went to my local bagging lake and only had 2 carp, (normally,50lb at least in 4 hours) il be back in April 🤣
Just watched the video again. Gr8t tips throughout. 10/10. Brian Huckle (Denton)

Good vid great tips as usual common sense scale it all back a bit now the autumn/winters here. I apply the same thinking to feeder as well
Glad I'm doing something right for a change!! Great video fellas.

Least you know for next time :)
So micros or groundbait when fishing expanders ?? What do you prefer and why ??👍

brill overview for autumn fishing guys thank you what size hooklengths do you use 4 or 6 ins
Depends on the situation but Jamie’s switched to 4 inch for nearly everything recently.
@@WinningWays Thanks Rich 🌟
Cracking vid lads
Awesome info again. Would you say it's time for worm fishing now?

Winning Ways many thanks lads
i was mugging carp yesterday in piss wet through conditions windy as fuck aswel haha
Great video loads of good advise, F1s in my local water feed well in the winter making up most catches, what would you recommend for hook bait and feed
Maggots and pellets will cover most things, and a slice of Warburtons for dobbing when it's proper cold!
Any tips on elasticating a top kit
And shooting patents for waggler
If you scroll back we did a couple of waggler videos a year or two back :)
Thanks
When do you boys go over to silver fishing to improve the weights?
It just depends on venue, try fishing for them, if you can catch more weight of silvers, than others are catching carp then it’s worth doing.
What do they mean by saying positive fishing?
Yes lads
Serious Andy, Oosh👍🏻
Normal service will be resumed shortly!
👍🏻
Would worms work through autumn and winter
They can come into it, especially if you are targeting silvers too.
