Andy after a ten year off from fishing my two recent visits to Dave’s of Middlewich left my head cabbaged and me wondering if I can get back into pole fishing, but your the man! Now it’s looking like a pleasure to go pole fishing again brilliant vids, I’m working my way through them Cheers Paul
Finally tried fishing shallow last week, I fed micros with a 6mm banded pellet, I caught plenty of Ide & Roach plus a decent 7lb carp. Next time I’ll increase the length of my lash and try a bit of mugging.
Bizarrely Andy I used to be successful shallow by doing the opposite.. Feed 3 times, drop the rig through once. Always fished a heavier hook bait than the losefeed. Tony Holmes aka Slaphead
Because you’re fishing up in the water, Carp tend to be more wary of the pole so close to the water so a longer line means you can hold the pole tip higher.
Great video lads, love watching Andy as he's so entertaining. I've heard Andy say before that he uses the superium x70 pole, how does he like it as I'm thinking of getting one once I've saved enough money to get one plus a few extra topkits

I still work in old Lb’s breaking strains for lines
hahhaha 1st comment. amazing video as always, plz do a skimmer/bream one for colder months looking for a bit of help with that one.
I'm new to pole fishing - What's the reason for using a longer length of line above the float for carp?

This work in autumn / winter ? Assume this is for next year and one to put in the library
It will certainly work on warmer days during Autumn
No they will still come shalla especially the F1S
😁👍
Why do you need a longer line between tip and float when aiming at carp?
I should have watched more! Spooking the fish! I should have guessed!
What bung is that in the end of Andy's pole
I think that's a WE Products bung.
You would of emptied the lake if you started on the bottom but fair play andy.
