Used Banoffee sticki pellets for a few years paired up with sweetcorn and also popped up plastic corn, nothing else I use comes close to these on the method, stacks of carp in double figures and everything else that will eat them, I use the other flavours but always have Banoffee in the bag also. Impressed by the Salted Caramel sticki pellets, mixed them up with the power scopex sticki pellets and had a great day. Love Sonubaits, it works for me, I know there are lots of factors in catching any fish, but I feel these baits tick one of the many boxes in the fishing algorithm.
The Banoffee bait booster is an absolute must for me in conjunction with the Banoffee micros and to boost the expanders. Had some class results this year with that combination especially prior to this latest lockdown. Over wetted micros on top of an expander close in has been the beez.
Can you put dry pellets in to a blender to make them in to a fine paste to add to pellets to bind them together for the method feeder. When you have used the Lava rocks colourant what do you do with the water please
The simple way if the pellets are not sticking once prepared is to sprinkle with a little soft brown sugar this adds molasses flavour at the same time and it's cheaper. Thanks Joe that was an excellent teaching. 👍
I do have another tip Joe and that's instead of soaking pellets in water use cows milk or soya milk or goats milk, fish are highly attracted to milk because of enzymes in the gut of the animal,it beats using water.in the summer soya milk more favourable, but more aminos in animals milk👍
this was a great video! Loved it.. I also love playing about with pellets, recently had a lot of fun at boddington (and a bit of success too!) by supergluing a wafter and a hard pellet in colours I thought matched - e.g robin red and a yellow wafter.. happy days! fished on a standard method and seemed to work
That was well handy , as I bought a load of expanders due to lockdown -never used em before , load of crap - the sonubaits ones especially , -but I rarely fish the pole and fish waggler , so I was contemplating chucking them in the bin or blitzing them to dust in the blender. Used the Sonubaits super crush today , chucking in walnuts sized balls -top result for my lake 20 carp. The 8mm banoffee soft pellet was OK - I used it banded to size 18 , but lost a few fish , will hair rig em next time - the fish in my lake are naturalised -its not been fished in years, but they take the pellets and small boilies .
Another great vid Joe! Thanks for the tips.👍 Banoffee flavour and banded robin reds already worked fine for me this summer. I prepare my expanders with almost frozen water to make them more durable. Will try 2mills on SFL#20 tomorrow😁
I'm wondering when dried Insects will become added to pellets & groundbait ? I've eaten deep fried Locusts, while on holiday in Mexico, & quite nice they are too - Maybe worth a look at that ? (We've all seen, Swarms of Billions on Telly)
I see a bait company called dna that produce and insect based boilie called the bug. Only a matter of time. Although they’d do well to get enough from these shores this year there’s hardly any bugs about (slugs are thriving 🤣)
There's another little edge for the colder months. Before pouring boiling water on your pellets for paste, pour in a jug first, where you can add a shot of vodka. Bill and Virginia Rushmer shared this tip, and it's very effective.
@@MatchFishingFilms Well Virginia has tried other spirits before settling on Vodka. And said at the big one, that all spirits added to the catch rate, but vodka gave the best results. Apparently it simply a flavour thing. Best advice there was to by cheap nasty vodka, saving the better stuff for number 1.
Nice 1 for getting rid of that coffee mug at the start mate hope when you moved it it didn't drop on the floor and smash into a million pieces before you threw it in the bin 😂😂
Great video, thanks joe. Regarding toughening up expanders, once they are soft what would happen if you drained them and gave them a hit of your sinking pellet oil?
I’ll give it a try this weekend. I’ve got a session at monk lakes planned. I find standard expanders come off the hook a bit too easily, hopefully the oil will make them a bit more robust.
Hi Joe Can I flavour pellets well in advance and not have them turn to mush? E.g. flavour micros with say chocolate orange/banoffee and use them a fortnight later and still have them perform as they were when they came out of the bag? Cheers Ian Red
Match Fishing Films well worth the effort a great video that will be used as a reference point to keep referring back to. Lots of guys enjoying you,Rob,Matty’s and Des’s videos probably the best on the net along with Jamie Hughes. Keep em coming 👍
Hi Joe that video is the best pellet advice i have EVER seen! I have tried a few of those ideas on natural venues, and at White Acres. Hope to be able to try a dry expander on a short hooklength for tench in the spring on a helicopter rig. I have used Banoffee glugged pva bags in deep water on the pole with great success and moulded sticky micro's around a banded pellet for accuracy again in deeper water. Msg from your wife, make sure my immaculate kitchen does not smell of fishmeal!!! Ha ha. New drug regime helping and stabilising me so a bit of fishing on the cards. Hope you and family staying safe and well, regards Bill Ps how about a session on a small stream this winter?
She never smelt a thing amazingly ha ha! That's great news that you could be fishing again soon. Rob and I have been having some interesting chub fishing recently. very enjoyable sport!
How are those little can's called where he has the yellow lava with expanders in? with a flat surface, cant find them for sale anywhere, anyone an idea?
Hey Joe, great video Joe, love yours and Des' vids How long would you leave expanders soaked in the fridge before you would actually use them? And let's say you do prepare too many and after your match you've got loads left - rather then lobbing your expanders away can they be brought home and kept for the next time you go? And can the same be applied to micros? Kinds regards Si
I would rather prepare fresh expanders to be honest but that is purely a personal preference. I have caught a lot of fish on the pellets prepared with the bait booster weeks after. That stuff seems to preserve them.
Thanks very much for your reply Joe - I prepared some the other week for the next day, 2&4mm pro expanders just in plain water but woke with a stomach bug and didn't end up going so I've keep them in the fridge within in the same water. Maybe ill keep them and crush them up to make a paste/GB with them and prepare fresh ones for the nest time I go
Forget expanders mate, waste of time. What you want is pellets where you just add water, let them soak for 20 minutes or so and they are ready, job done.
I can watch this video weekly!!
Excellent watch there Joe, I will watch this again and again.
Thanks again!
Great video. Some good advice given. Thanks Joe 🙏🏻

I use ordinary food coloring in powder form. Loads of colours to choose from. Dyes the pellets, but not your fingers or your plastic tubs.

Great vid Joe, what is the difference between the fin perfects and the pro feed pellets, which a coppens, which are skrettens?
He don't know he's just a sonibait rep
Really great video. Thanks so much

Lot's of great tips a lot to take on board it's all about experimenting Great vid mate.
Glad you enjoyed it

@nemzi fazie Hahaha !!! that's such a valid point. I like your thinking.
It's Ethyl alchohol Joe it enhances flavour, carp anglers used to put it in their boillie mixes, small amount of course.
@@robertwren8878 cool. I had no idea. I thought it was just the taste.
Nice 1 for getting rid of that coffee mug at the start mate hope when you moved it it didn't drop on the floor and smash into a million pieces before you threw it in the bin 😂😂
oh it's sat here still!
Great video, thanks joe. Regarding toughening up expanders, once they are soft what would happen if you drained them and gave them a hit of your sinking pellet oil?
I am not too sure Lee. The pro expanders already have an oil in them so not sure much would happen 🤔
I’ll give it a try this weekend. I’ve got a session at monk lakes planned. I find standard expanders come off the hook a bit too easily, hopefully the oil will make them a bit more robust.

I'd try to do them as fresh as possible Ian
Another classic Joe well done really enjoyed it ?
Cheers Kenny. Took me longer to film than I planned 😂

Great tips! Question though: when do you use 8mm coarse pellets and when 8mm carp pellets when catapulting in?

Tip 21 clean the kitchen before the wife comes home lol.
Major major tip that
Better to apologise after than to seek permission beforehand (this only applies to prepping bait in the kitchen).
Hi Joe, would making paste with micros keep it stiff enough to use on the bomb?
Yes, you can always stiffen it with either fishmeal powder or thatchers groundbait too :)
@@MatchFishingFilms nice I think paste on the bomb is the little edge I'll need next summer at my local, cheers mate
It can work brilliant. Mould it around an 8mm pellet and dont be scared to try a big old piece!
@@MatchFishingFilms yeah that'll give it something to grip on to nice tip Joe thanks 👍

Could we have Nigella doing it next time though🤪
She's too old
A new thing u need to do with pellets it's 2022 June start buying and stock pile them the price is going only one way 🤔
Yep :(
can you freeze the pellet paste?
Я использовал ваш пеллец, отличный продукт.
anyone want to say why the pro expanders are so bitter?
Probably Oil
Forget expanders mate, waste of time. What you want is pellets where you just add water, let them soak for 20 minutes or so and they are ready, job done.
Messing with bait in the kitchen
BOYS WILL BE BOYS
Tremendous Smokey
Sonubait robin red pellets are the worst on the market. I hope their other pellets are better.
Good,good.... but this pellets, is far behind the aqua garant.

Don’t show the wife this video great ideas
