- Marvel spoils us with so many characters to love and hate. Our heroes are superlative with quirky pasts, turbulent presents. They are endearing and unnerving. With every single character beckoning us to enter their world. Hello to all our comic book fans, especially the Marvel ones. Welcome back to another epic informative session with Marvelous Videos. For today’s video, we have for you the origin of the most lethal superhero that appears in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
Now that we have your attention, let me also tell you that this character is usually associated with the X-Men titles. Although even considering the X-Men team, this character has his own coolness and charm. He first appeared in New X-Men issue #128 in 2002. Created by Grant Morrison and Igor Kordey, Fantomex is a character somewhat based on the central character from the Italian comic book Diabolik and its film adaptation Danger: Diabolik. He is also quite similar to Fantomas, which is the character that Diabolik was partly based on. - Розваги
I honestly didnt think anybody would be able to write him as well as his creator, Grant Morrison. He was hysterical during those first few X-Men issues where he was introduced.
Rick Remender surprised me during his X-Force run. He not only kept the sense of irreverence for the character but added a lot of depth. For a character whose main power is basically "misdirection" you got a well drawn out character whose motivations were never out of character.
that UXF run was one of the best runs of any modern x book, and imo one of the best runs and arcs (dark angel saga) ever written in any marvel comic period. it just hits in every way. the plot threads are all tied up other than the ones left open intentionally for him to use in uncanny avengers which would have been just as good if not for him leaving marvel and them abandoning all of his storylines. would have like to see the apocalypse twins some more down the line but hey comics went t o shit anyway. love fantom tho, rr run really did a great job wit him .
Overall a pretty straightforward breakdown of one of my favorite characters and retcons/story twists. Weapon Plus just made so much more sense given how many government experiment characters there are.
Is this what comic book readers call straightforward. I was lost way before his brain split into three people.
His multiple brains function like slaved hard drives to a primary hard drive
I didn't know that Fantomex had an X-Gene...
HE'S THE BEST X-MEN CHARACTER THAT'S HARDLY USED.. SMDH🤔 HOPEFULLY IN THE NEW MCU HE'LL BE USED PROPERLY. I REALLY LIKED HIS RUN IN X FORCE WHEN HE KILLED APOCALYPSE, SAVAGE. 😳🔥
They need to get this guy on the screen but they'll probably screw him up.
Why is Ajax in the Thumbnail?
The guy who played Ajax in Deadpool has publicly stated that he really wants to play Fantomex if he comes to the big screen.
In wolverine video there was John wick xd
@@kieltaylor3246 but he is not fantomex
You mean Francis?😏😁
@@kieltaylor3246 Ed Skrein was seen on set for Deadpool 3. Fingers crossed we get a Fantomex cameo.
Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force is one of the greatest stories. Definitely find and read it.
It really is a brilliant run
@@jamespaul6315, it's so fucking good. If you want proper Moon Knight -- and not that Disney-Marvel MCU garbage joke -- checkout Lemire and Smallwood's run.
My favorite comic book series.
@@kida9598 I see you're a person of class.
@@itsmytoast666 yeah, if they wanted to introduce Moon Knight to the MCU, they should've had Jackie Earle Haley play him and just as well, have his movie take place between the events of *Infinity War* and *Endgame*
Huh? Thats not who was in deadpool, why the thumbnail?
Yup, while not a big deal I stopped following this channel for constantly using incorrect images in their thumbnails. Seems lile intentional click bait.
But yes it's the villian Ajax, totally different character with totally different powers.
He...named himself (cough, cough) after dish soap...!!!
I've noticed that too, or they'll use incorrect pictures during the videos
He probably used it as the guy who played Ajax has stated that he really wants to play fantomex
Helluva character to tell stories with or about, but i do like the fact that their is no other character like him in any of the other worlds/dimensions. Or he's in 616 or he doesnt exist but he can transcend. if he can travel through different dimensions then he's a sort of Prodigalist Symbol hard to place, but look at it and ponder who would be the main & same figures that the Marvel Universe revolves about? Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, Red Skull, Dr. Doom, KingPin, Dr. Strange, etc. If not shouldn't their be something like that?
The narrator here sounds like Patrick Stewart.
Might as well be him since Marvel fans know him as Professor Xavier
He is more french than Gambit.
Between Logan and Essex, everyone is like 7 degrees from everyone else! 🤗
I love him so much I wish it was utilized more
Thanks for origin video on this guy.
He's weapon X111(weapon 13)
WHERE THE FUCK IS FRANCIS?
They made you ask twice. Is the mask muffling your voice?
Actually I learned from Google that the character in the Deadpool movie his hero name is Ajax
He’s a villain
Hes not phantomx at all
Hope he does Forbush Man cause man beena huge Forbush fan
You sure that wasn't Adam 12?
Weapon XIII aka Weapon 13. The Weapon X isn't/wasn't a person[Logan], but rather the 10th iteration of the Weapon Plus program. The members of the Weapon X program were many, if not all of Team X[Kestrel, Silver Fox, Mastodon, Sabretooth, Maverick, & Wolverine]
It's called XIII because that translates to 13. 13 is the Tarot card for death.
"Weapon death" or "weapon of death"
Or maybe because he was the 13th character to go through the Weapons Plus project. Your reading too far into the numbering.
Nah he was just the 13th one in the program.
Overall he is insane
Interesting. Not sure enough to devote my time to yet. Maybe later tho.
Fantomex should've been added in another season of Wolverine and the X-Men.
Got a link to the trades on Amazon?
Isn’t that agent 0 off of X-men Origins?
Nice
Give him a symbiot
Idk I lived in both Roanoke and I don't recall none of this happening and I watch the news on both Channels....
What year was this Age of Apocalypse?
So Fantomex issa nexus being?
I always knew Weapon X meant Weapon Ten
He is weird. He is ok. Good look but hated his run in Morrison X,-Men. Hate that he turned into a woman. Liked him at first but he is just confusing. Good in X-FORCE. Got to bang Psylocke
What does that have to do with Francis/Ajax
Weapon x triple I... Weapon 13. He's weapon 13.
Fanomex other x-men character 😉💻🔮
i thought there's only 1 fantomx in the multivers. you say that earlyer in the video.
Yes
Shxt is dope
Roanoke Virginia? Or Roanoke N.C. ?
There's also Roanoke, IL and Roanoke, TX! Lol
As someone who doesn’t know about this but knows these characters... what is happening!! And why do all these characters passed 2000 come off so quirky like they live with their moms and stuff. Like the vibe the doom patrol show has, which I like, but geez it’s redundant.
Great videos. Love this channel. But this guy bores me to death.
not iii it's weapon 13man weapon 13😢
Yo there was a vigilante who wear white like this guy, with a white skull mask ,master of disguise, kills super heroes and carry two guns he's in the marvel dead book. Whats his name
With a white skull mask?
Taskmaster has a white skull mask, one with a Hood, but he’s not a Vigilante, nor are two guns his normal weapons.
Usually uses a sword and shield.
Chameleon perhaps?
No not them check marvel dead universe books was killed
Crossbones?
@@theredscum4202 no
OMG the AI script is INSUFFERABLE
It's not ex aye aye aye it's 13.
Weapon I? Wait, don't you mean, Weapon 1?
Captain America Weapon 1! But I don’t think it was called Weapon 1 then. Every attempt at recreating a Super Soldier after Cap was designated a Roman Numeral ie Cap Weapon 1, Wolverine Weapon X(10), Fantomex Weapon XIII(13) etc etc.
@@House.Of.Pain. then it must make Deadpool weapon XI
I am F(a(n(t(o)m)e)x)x
Fantomex is a genuinely awful character.
...yawn...😴
ummm, Fantomex is NOT the most deadly but still an interesting character... i mean, theres Deadpool.
