Just so you know that Wii guitar 100% comes apart. There is a lever on the back of the guitar at the bottom of the neck. Just twist and hold the lever and pull out the neck, makes them much easier and cheaper to ship. Hope this helps !!
This one was actually screwed in. Not the lever one. I do love the one with the lever that folds down though.
@@desertsellers at 11min on video you can see the lever right below your hand that is holding the guitar. No worries though.. the Wii Les Paul always has a lever that holds the neck of the guitar. Great video hope this doesn't come across wrong to you just trying to help. Video games and toys are my niche and just happens to be something I know from selling literally 100's of the the Wii Les Paul.

@@desertsellers When you connect the priority boxes together, how do they figure the shipping.
Since this is not a flat rate box they will just price it as normal priority rate based on measurements. Even if this was a flat rate box when you go over the flat rate dimensions they just charge you as regular priority mail. So you will put in the dimensions as a normal box and select priority for your current rate ☺️

Speaking of shipping. I think one of the biggest stumbling blocks that people face in reselling is knowing how much to charge up front for shipping. I’ve been doing some poshmark selling because they make shipping easy. Does EBay have a clear cut set up for shipping?
They have an option called calculated shipping. So you put in the dimensions in size as well as weight and it will automatically charge based on buyers location. So as long as you put in the correct dimensions and weight you won't be out anything.

Thank you so much for sharing, I’m fairly new to eBay and one question that I have is how to ship long items that weigh under a pound but they are long. And also which Priority Mail boxes can you stack together like your example for the electric guitar? Thank you
The long non priority mail items, you will either need to purchase boxes, or frankenbox one together. If this is a common item you ship, I would invest in boxes for those items. The USPS boxes I use for these longer wide items is a 1097 and a 1095 -One is slightly larger so they sandwich together very nicely.

You can break down the Wii guitar. The bridge does comes off of all the Gibson Guitar Hero guitars
I prefer not to take them apart when tools are required. I want the buyer to not have to worry about finding the right tool. 😁
For that casserole pot how much did you charge for shipping? I avoid Pots & pans because they're too heavy to ship.
Since I do calculated it will be based on their location. I usually sell those big items to neighbor states so it's cheaper for the buyer. But the buyers know they will pay up for shipping bc it's so heavy. You can also ship parcel select to save a little 😊 Thank you for asking. Don't be afraid 😉
We have two of those guitar’s waiting to be listed. What is the size of the priority boxes so I know which one to assemble?
I use both a 1097 and a 1095 (box number idk exact size). One is slightly larger than the other and fit very nice together ☺️

Do you do pay / promote? I've been doing 3-5% --- I wonder if I'm being shadowbanned? How can we tell?
Hello and thank you for your support. So I do list daily, or pretty close to daily. 3-5 items a day is my goal. I do promote at 4% and I think that's a good number that I've seen success. Really no way to know what is better till you test it. But I give eBay enough money that 4% is my happy number. I also run sales on older inventory pretty regularly. That also helps push older stuff out and bump up some sales. Hope this was helpful, best of luck on your sales!!

I tried to start eBay, had some good stuff , and sold it, but the shipping these days is way too high ! My time , shipping supplies, + the price of the item I made maybe 10 bucks ! I know it's a profit, but it's just not worth it to me..
Buy bigger margin items. Items that you get cheap that sell for more. I don't like those small flips either, time is money!! Shipping is crazy but buyers expect it. Always charge shipping and you should be good 👍

Welcome! Thank you for the question. So I was actually pretty close to full time with 500 items. It's about quality items that sell. So I do make more with more items listed, but not just because it's 1k+. I hope that makes sense.

Yes, about 90% of the time. If the item only shows free shipping as comps, then I have no choice but to match if I want it to sell. So about 10% accounts for free shipping.

Thank you for watching ☺️ blender I separate into the 2 parts and lots of bubble wrap. Fill the box with packing materials to make sure nothing shifts. Hope that helps.

I actually haven't done a huge purge of old inventory. But I do run pretty aggressive sales on those items. So if it's over a year old it instantly goes to 30 to 50% off.

@@desertsellers yeah sure, but we are not in a recession... yet.. and also it may never happen. A lot of people are always going to be struggling, that's how capitalism works. It's better to stay positive and try not to speak things into existence, anyway.
@maestro pirlo If you look back at previous recessions, they were going on before they were officially announced. It has to affect the upper class before it's announced but the lower and middle class feel it long before then.
@@mommabear2544 that's what happens when our past president gave the rich and corporations tax breaks before a global pandemic which caused supply chain and demand problems coupled with price gouging by oil companies are making it seem like our economy is reeling. People feel the inflation from the above mentioned factors, and the current fed chair and admin are trying to steady the ship, which isn't something that can be fixed overnight. But... we aren't in a recession.
Not everyone should be a seller.
