Yes it looks strange, but had Adelaide won the grand final, the power stance could have been the defining image of Adelaide overcoming the Phil Walsh tragedy and winning a flag
If I get reminded of this one more time I will start crying 😭
Shouldn't that be the Crows stance? Power are the other mob.
Power stance because that's how the power rangers stood side by side.
Ha, good one :)
@@Rockkyyy689 nah, it was Hawthorn that dressed up like power rangers.
@@seedy80 🤣
That teal white and black mob Keep pretending they are magpies unfortunately
0:54 The power stance 🤣😂🤣
“Power stance” lol
They’re a weird mob over there.
At the time, the power stance was praised.
Facts
That power stance would have to be the pinnacle of wankiness.
Crows all over.
As a Crows supporter, the grand final still hurts a little bit. We should have won the game. We were never robbed. The flag was ours for the taking and we just never showed up on the biggest day of the AFL calendar when it mattered most. It's a shame really, as guys like Taylor Walker, Rory Sloane and Eddie Betts deserved to win at least one flag. But look what we got instead, a wooden spoon 3 years later, an exdous of players and controversial camp thats been covered to death. If we had turned up, played the game of football we had played all year and won, who knows where we would have been that year. At least the women have been able to make up for it
You're being a bit hard on yourself. Crows didn't know at the time they'd ran into a team at the start of a dynasty. It wasn't the case of a team which got lucky and snuck into the GF, didn't show up on the day, and got smashed (Port v Geelong 119 points). They just lost to a great side on the day.
@@user-oi9to7ux7k Then again, when Port played Geelong, Geelong were heavily favoured to win and at the peak of their powers. Crows were tipped to win against Richmond, they just choked on the day, plain and simple.
Also there’s no such thing as sneaking into a GF, each team has equal chance at the start of the year and no-one doesn’t try.
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
@@michaelminnikin4265 a pillow, blanket and mattress. Thanks for asking 👍
@@patrickmilner4149 What do the women make up for? It isn't the revenue
For the first and only time I hoped Richmond would win because of the stance.
Whoever thought the power stance was a good idea was probably the same person who thought their off season trip was a good idea.
We didn't hear anything from the media when the Crows won their first two finals that year with the Power Stance.
Crows sissy boys trying to be intimidating 🤣🤣
@@spikesta3593 it worked the first two finals
@@kalebarancelovic but failed when you played a real team
@@spikesta3593 but, but, but..
@@kalebarancelovic that’s where the crows like it, in the butt
The farcical mark of the year decision cost Howe winnings of $10,000 due to Essendon fans hammering the fan vote which resulted in the rules being changed so it can't be corrupted like that again, so it's pretty lame for the panel to mock him for not being happy and not mention how that unfolded.
Thanks for ruining my Sunday
Lol
“Mum says it’s my turn on the Xbox”
Did anyone else watch the show when it was televised? Notice how Kane didn't give NM players crap about going on a footy trip?
They are not drug addicts like the needle boys
Unlucky old mate Richard. Essendon will go to Tassie. Basket case club
@@jakejake4405 lol pretty sure we're right. We all know it will be NM at some stage. Their membership numbers are pathetic.
@@jakejake4405 Heppell is the only player in the side that was from that era, so just get over it.
Power stance definitely had the Tigers rattled- they were just the better team that day though
The Crows finish top of the ladder but don't get home ground advantage in the Grand Final. The Crows finish bottom of the ladder but don't get the first pick because the Bulldogs finished 7th & their special needs VFL.
Interstate teams cant complain. They are the only teams that play all year with a true home ground advantage. Only team in Vic with the same advantage is Geelong. This is why Geelong and interstate teams finish high on the ladder from the home and aways, but always fall short in the finals.
@@tubester4567 Geelong plays no more than 9 home games at The Cattery every season, the least number of games on their home ground than any other team. They make the finals and finish in the top 4 because they are good enough to win anywhere. Suck it up.
@@darrenmiles-morland8038 Yeah but to be fair Geelong travel way less than other teams as almost all of their away games are just up the road, whereas interstate teams have to fly in the same circumstance. For each interstate team, there’s only 1 team they play away locally.
@@darrenmiles-morland8038 Nah, even 9 games is a lot more than all the Melbourne based teams. All the Melbourne teams share 2 grounds, and none have a real home ground advantage.
Home ground advantage for the grand final is not a thing, hasn't been for 125 years. Hope this helps, good teams can actually win finals at the MCG because that's what is required to win premierships. Still sooking 5 years later? Get over it.
Jesus they are still talking about this?
@MrBarry465 Bit slow on the uptake are we
People are still talking about jesus 2000 years after he staged for a free kick.
Cringey Crows
Kane hating on the crows is so obvious. Saying that the power stance did "anything but" take them to the end. Literally one win off winning the whole thing. Stupid take.
he can hate them if he wants, untwist your knickers.
Exactly, like it was an element of that finals campaign for the crows that worked for them and just because they lost the grand final it was a massive failure and a joke. Like just imagine if we won, they would saying it was a stroke of genius and very smart from the crows.
@@BINGOBALL111222 You choked on the big day. Get over it already, everyone else has.
@@tweegeTX3 what are you on about? I know we choked, we played a crap game on the biggest day of them all. What I’m talking about is the power stance and how everyone always brings it up as a joke and what I’m saying is that if we had of won people would be looking at it in a completely different light. I’m just pointing out how dumb it sounds to say it got them nowhere when in fact it was an element that got them to the grand final and one step away from it all
they didnt win though so Kane has a point
are they criticizing the way they were standing? 🤷♂️
Come on man it's hilarious
jasmine garner kicked the first aflw goal smh
cant beat the umpires
Gotta talk about Richmond some how as they are irrelevant again
🤣😅😅😆
luke shuey cheated and he admitted it after the game.
cringe
didn’t include Tom McDonald’s last minute goal to break their decade+ long losing streak in WA? The anti-Melbourne bias is sickening
This show is so useless I’d rather watch Ross Lyon post game interviews
