god i miss watching your vids, i can still remember getting back from school and relaxing while watching your vids
Since this was basically a Sparity episode, it was good to see Spike showing that he was moving on from his crush on Rarity, because you know it's a tree he's been barking up since the mlp series first began and it never went anywhere, so yeah it was for the best that Spike went in search of a new love interest i mean Gabby may not have been the next best choice, but she was still better than Rarity, in fact this was the one episode i couldn't stand Rarity, because once she saw Spike hanging out with Gabby Rarity started doing the jealous girlfriend routine.
Yeah but in pinkies words right after spike and rarity admit they like speanding time together: OOoOoOOh so THAT'S how it is~~
Yeah I mean she obviously doesn’t have a problem with sweetie belle being friends with Apple bloom and scootaloo and spike is even being friends with ember and thorax and some of the student six etc. what’s wrong with him being friends with gabby?
To be honest it kinda reminded me of day of the diesels when Thomas spend so much time with belle the fire engine, Percy thought Thomas didn’t want to be his friend anymore, and yes obviously you don’t care about that but hey to me it’s similar

@@mr.minebloxdaylighttwinkle442 the difference is that spike spent EVERY SINGLE DAY with gabby all of a sudden. It's a difference to share a friend and maybe splitting the time in half but for rarity,spike just up and left. So obviously she felt betrayed. And tbh.. Gabby was basically doing what Rarity did right after. She took up all of Spikes time,despite knowing that he spends some of it during certain times with Rarity. Yet Rarity was the only one who had to apologize. That episode was kinda shitty because they pretended like Rarity got jealous without reason which wasn't the case.
This episode was a GIANT step backwards for Rarity. Which is a shame, because she's actually grown since Season 1 from my most hated of the Mane 6 to a pony I can tolerate.
She really had come a long way since the episode where she became the Diamond Dogs' most infamous creepypasta.
it's so annoying how everyone hates the Fashionista Stereotype of characters... like she is fine, what is there to tolerate? Spike was the one who keeps tending to rarity not the other way round.
I keep rewatching Applegeek’s reaction to this episode more than do I obsessively do in my rotation every few weeks. Instantly love the chemistry between Spike and Gabby ITS WELL THOUGHT OUT and resolves the whole Rarity/Spike issue (age, rarity taking advantage of him, etc, the fact that spike is literally for comedic effect and his feelings aren’t taken seriously)
i honestly thought you wouldn't like this episode. You seem upset any time they highlight the Spike and Rarity thing, and the whole episode was Rarity being obsessed with spike. but i guess i see why it's the opposite haha

To be honest I’m more of an Applespike shipper and this episode shows that Spike got more than one ship.

So my problem with this episode is he was blow rarity off in the first place and wasn't leaving anytime for her at all anymore. So the point is that she's doing that to Gabby but Gabby was doing that to her first.

Though I did enjoy Spike and Rarity's relationship, I didn't really enjoy Rarity taking advantage over him (her using him to extend her hair and making him hold all of her supplies and work as a "happy slave"). Rarity was in a way seeing him more as a slave than a close friend and requesting large favors for little in return (he didn't mind, but that certainly doesn't justify it either). While it is easy for a person to take advantage of her or his lover or person obsessed with them, it isn't very right, either.
That’s how Twilight overworks him in general anyway.
