- 👋 Today I drive the recreation 1963 Corvette Grand Sport race car! This is based off the blueprints of one of the 5 original Grand Sport Corvettes! The Superformance Grand Sport was built the exact same way GM built them, and even has licensing to use the name. The LS3 engine sounds amazing and this car drives like nothing else! Jay Leno even featured this exact car on his channel and this Superformance Grand Sport has been driven all around the country! 🏎

👁 About this video : This is the iconic 1963 Corvette Grand Sport! Superformance has recreated the exact race car from Chevrolet and now we can drive the Superformance Grand Sport Corvette! This is an awesome car built identically to the original Corvette Grand Sports. GM only made five of them and they currently sell for over $5 million! These Superformance Grand Sport Corvettes go for around $200,000 and have all of the same race car feelings. Extremely raw car and you feel every aspect! This classic muscle car requires a lot of attention to drive and it takes time to work up to being able to drive it hard. The Grand Sport handles amazing like its on rails and was a true blast to drive! The Lingenfelter LS3 engine is identical to what this car came with in the 60s and this exact car was even driven by Jay Lenno. This was the 3rd Grand Sport produced by Superformance and was used by them to promote the company.

It’s a car you drive. Then need to take a break from to prepare yourself to drive it again. Completely different then a modern car. So much fun and full of character

Yeah the EV cars just have no fun factor. Aside from fast acceleration. But that gets old quick. This car was pure fun!
I agree with you, but they are pushing them more and more, esp in places like Calif.
We'll see how long the EV craze lasts. From what I've seen 20% of owners are already switching back to gas since it takes so long to charge lol

It really would be fun to own a C3 Corvette with side exhaust pipes! Love those rumbly exhaust notes.
I was looking into an early model C3 with the 454 and 4 speed manual but decided against it since the repairs on old cars can get out of hand quickly especially for a person with novice mechanical skills like me.
These older cars will take some work to keep running perfect I'm sure. A lot of character in cars like this!

I doubt I'll have access to another version. But this car was a ton of fun to drive!
Sometimes you’ll shift gears just because. Then you’ll shift back.
It was a fun car to drive and experience! If I wasn't shifting I couldn't show how fun it is and how you have to re-learn how to drive with this setup!

Considering one of these cars. How does it handle? I am a handling kind of guy. Currently have a Porsche Boxster Spyder that handles amazingly. Know this won’t be as good but like the owner said I am looking for a car with a more traditional feeling.

That's weird-Went to the Hot Wheels web page to pick my color scheme and the first Grand Sport Corvettes they made in 2008 was blue with a white stripe and a white ball with a black "2" in it! It was meant to be!
they are not heat vents, the vents are to allow air to escape from the bottom of the car do to poor arrow dynamics

That I'm not sure about! But if you look up superformance I'm sure there is some more info on that!
That's the difference between a car you steer as in new cars and a car you drive. I would prefer one I have to drive ..It's a far better experience.
