  • *I'm not a plumber. In fact, I'm an #UnhandyHandyman and a REALTOR in Knoxville TN by trade just sharing with you some info on how I did it. But, then again, if it helps you in the maintenance of your biggest investment (your home) then great!
However, my real goal is to have my kids join me while I do this (record and edit) so they can learn and have a working knowledge and library of tools, skills, and even memories.

Thanks, dude. I was hoping for a "repair" video. You have posted a "replacement." Yes, technically it is a repair but I had expected a repair of the regulator itself, not the whole house water system.

You can’t tell pressure just by visually checking a faucet (unless you’ve been in the trade for a while). That is a good way to blow a line, $30 is WAY CHEAPER than a flood.
Shark bite has a 5 to 8 year life, so you will have problems in the future.

You need internal stiffened to use sharkbite with pex. A 10 dollar screw on pressure gage would allow you to know exactly what you've set it to and you can take it off when you're done.
