    I feel like grip strength is very important. Mainly because I feel like if you don’t have good grip strength than it would make the other strength areas less affective , since you would be less able to hold a grip on heavy things when you lift them

      @@Terra101 Yeah technique and hand size is real important with the grippers. If you have hands that aren't big or on the small size that alone makes them much much harder to close, but a lot of these guys seemed to have big hands. They just weren't used to the technique. Larry is right about not being able to teach it very easily, the technique takes practice. Closing the #2 as a skinny guy is super impressive and even more so with little training, good for you man.

    • @RicoYT23
      @RicoYT23 Рік тому

      A 3 is listed as 280 pounds on the packaging and 3.5 as 322.5, however the captains of crush Grippers are harder than most of the 200, 300 type grippers because the handles are wider and the springs do not lose stiffness over time as much as the others. Also, in reality in order to compare grippers there is a universal system called RGC where they measure how much it takes to close them at the end of the handle because that is where we put our force at and it is actually much less. If you look into Grippers you'll find more information about this, I think if you can close the 200-300 you are doing well. The 300 pound gripper I have originally was a little less than my number 3 but it got much easier, the 250 lbs is easier than my 2.5. I know all this is very confusing for most people but if you stick with grippers I think you will find it out soon from other videos aswell 🙌🏽

      @@harshchoudhary1495 Maybe he could close the no 4 with training, but even if he could Ivan is like half the size of Vitaly and doesn't take steroids. I mean Ivan doesn't even look like he lifts weights at all, he's small as hell. Anyone who can close the no 4 is insane, and Vitaly probably could if he trained considering he almost closed the 3.5 with no training, but I still think Ivan is the most insane guy people know about when it comes to closing the grippers.

    • @billj4525
      @billj4525 Рік тому +2

      Yeah, but it's also possible you are just detrained. So keep up the hard work without the straps as much as you can and you will see your grip improve fast. When I was drinking heavily all the time, and abusing my body in my 20s, and had not worked out in 8 years my grip was so weak I was losing my grip on 185 pounds at times. Now I deadlift over 600 with no straps and use shrugs with over 500 with no straps. I do barbell rows and dumbbell rows with 150s for 20-30 reps without straps, and have barbell rowed 365 for reps without straps. I do use chalk sometimes on some things so my grip doesnt slip. Chalk can help a lot if you're trying to go super heavy on your grip. Grip can improve really really fast with practice.

      @@billj4525 ye I been doing deadlift for 3 years and I never went to failure once it was always the grip that failed before my muscles so I got 8 figure straps and I instantly rep my pr for 5 reps and hit a pr of 220kg my pr before was 170 I was using mixed grip the straps also fixed some imbalances I have and reduced some back pain.
