I didn’t play football but I was a D1 thrower, and I swear that college weight room atmosphere is like a drug. One of the most hype lifts ever was when us throwers were going heavy on squats and the basketball team happened to be in the same time slot. On our heaviest sets they would stop their workouts and come hype us up. It really makes a huge difference

I miss these vibes. I’ve played almost every sport aside from football, hockey and volleyball for the two high schools I went to and lacrosse was my favorite by far. The team lifts on dead’s and squat were like this off and on. Every pr attempt for us went this way. EVERYBODY, including the coaches, was there screaming and banging in n shit to get us amped and strong. Pulled my first 405 dead as a junior weighing 160lbs at 6’. The entire gym went nuts and you feel like a king in that moment. Damn I miss that.
