How much bolt carrier bounce do you get with the short buffer tube on full auto?
How'd you get Val Kilmer on the set of Wonderland to review the Maxim?!
@@thegolflife7565 who cares, go play golf

Hello, I was wondering if you have a Maxim Defense PDX 7.62X39 pistol and want to put a 16" Milspec .556 upper on it, what would you need to change on the 7.62x39 lower? Will the buffer tube, spring need to be changed to work with the Milspec BCG? Also, can standard .556 mags be used on the 7.62x39 PDX lower?
Please tell me why I have had this grin on my face even before you said a word! That is breathtaking! All the way through! Watching it in action needs no words!
Old concept but breathtakingly new in this platform! Using suppressor gases to delay ejection. Absolutely genius!!!
Another argument would be that's it is not a suppressor but a recoiling device, superior to a hole in the barrel.
And the sound suppression is just a side effect!!!
Locking forward to this ground breaking development!!!!!
Giant Daylight fireballs!! Always nice.
Magnificent design and manufacture. Thanks for this video.
I’ve probably watched this video 40 times while waiting on my notification from my FFL 🤠
Man that looks like a lot of fun.
I did not know they came in a 7.62x39... im liking this gun more and more
I have one and its super fun.
Compact And Powerful...Could Be Best For CQB Scenario.👍
We need a follow up night shoot!
Just got mine 2 days ago in 5.56. Cant wait to take it to the range in a couple days.
Hope you're able to make it out to the range! We would love to know your thoughts on shooting it
@@333-.-.-.
Yep... I've already put about 500 rounds through. Here is my very honest review.
After about 30 rounds, the barrel gets hot, so holding the barrel is not practical. Recoil is definitely not bad. While I am not the best shooter, my groupings were a little over 1 inch, again, I'm not the best shooter, average. Tested 25yds, 50yds, 100yds. Trigger is nice. The collapse brace is comfortable.
I can honestly say if you're a hobbyist, maybe this gun isnt for you. Because a 7.5 DDM4 maybe better or a 10" AR. BUT, I love it. Because its VERY PRACTICAL FOR MY LIFE/ENVIRONMENT. It fits in my backpack. I can manuever through my tight hallway at home. I can manuever the gun in my car. Its practical for me as a defense gun. Which is the goal of this gun... PRACTICAL DEFENSE.
Little over 900 rounds with PDX 7.62. At its full potential when using the ammunition designed for the platform manufactured by Fort Scott Munitions..
What’s the price?
I love Maxim Defense Product. If it's possible, I'd like to have all model. It has high performance with so pretty design.
the wires on your head look way cool
I love them pdw stocks
Nice review sir
Can the 556 version fit other brand mags ? Preferably a d60 drum mag?
what rail covers did you guys use on this?
Fantastic incredible PDW ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Is it considered as a brace or more like a stock? since there is no strap.
One of those in a 556 would be awesome but I want a different stock kinda similar acog scop probably different standard clips and a drum magazine for home defense and hunting
How is it compared to the DD4 PDW? Also, what's the accuracy like at 100yrds and does that change between .300blk and 7.62?
I wish we could have these in Canada, really looks dope.
Ideal for tank drivers and apc drivers. Also the secret service
Why didn’t you show your target at the end?
Daniel defense pdw, vs PDX, vs SIG Virtus and saint edge ? All shorties, of course. What do you guys think of them and if you could only have one. If their prices were in the same ballpark
first time ever leaving a question.
would i be crazy for wanting to buy the upper and using a ar9 lower bolt to fire this off or is that not possible and if it is can somebody explain how?
I’m buying 5 of these.
So did he hit the targets?
Wow it's pretty good
Must have, must have, must have!!!
Badass little gun 😁👍
What do you call the color of the rail
Could there be provisions for a 9mm upper?
What's the muzzle velocity of a 5.5" barrel??????????
Amazing weapon. Uffff
É muito compacta, para defesa residencial é perfeita.
Where can I find this pdx maxim?
Make a pistol that has the ability to have mag compatibility with various ak mags and you have a deal. I would most definitely want a little sidearm chambered in 7.62x39 along with my Akm and have the mags work with both systems.
he said AK mags were inconstant? I have no clue what he meant by that because cheap magpul ak mags are very realiable and abundant, and steel surplus mags are still very available and reliable, shit i still buy bakelites when i see good deals. what did he mean by that doesnt make sense
@@stuartwalker6409 so ak47 magpul mags work with the MD 7.62?
I'm new to weapons. What's so special about 300blkout? Is Maxim Defense a reliable brand? Made in the USA?
You know what auto focus means on a camera?
That is a most have!
What men ask Santa for Christmas.
How mach this gun
Two words: more shooting. Also, like others I'm curious what kinda velocities it's putting out
About around enough I'd say
What's that video quality?
Sweet!
Excelente!
Not the biggest fan of these tiny rifles but I want this one.
762x39 Yes, yes, yes!
price ?
The takedown looks exactly like how the Honeybadger’s.
How much?
I want 1 where can i get 1 and how much ❓😏😲💯👀✊👌👍💪 please tell me asap
Very Good pdx pdw beautful
These are such a cool gun, but I'll never understand why they didnt go with a ak mag patterned lower instead of those weird .224 valkyrie mags
Tooling and compatibility.
Making a lower that accepts AK mags means investing in entirely new tooling to produce new lower receivers to accept AK mags.
Also, the gun can be swapped to shoot 5.56, .300 BLK, .458 SOCOM and .50 BeoWulf with a regular AR15 magazine and regular 5.56 bolt. Using a lower receiver that uses AK mags would destroy this interchangeability. This is why you don't see many AKs that shoot anything other than 7.62x39 and (rarely) 5.45 and 7.62x54R
Let's not forget " No bolt hold" after last round is fired. Imagine this: BANG BANG BANG click, oops! Drop mag, reinsert (rock lock) new mag, reach over top of weapon with left hand, retract bolt,
return left hand to forend, find target, BANG! Although I have few friends who are blindingly fast at these maneuvers after shooting AK 74s (no not AK 47s and yes they are ex Russian Patriots turned
US citizens.
Need a foregrip on that SBR one. With a handguard that short
I've got an integrated OWL weapon light mounted on the top of mine where you activate it with you weak hand thumb using a C grip. With the Hate break there is no muzzle rise. (and even less recoil than my Knights Sr-15) No need at all for a forearm grip
whats with the tactical head sets and the cables? do you operate bro?
Yeah man,he operates at KFC drive through
I'm happy with my two WASRs, no step on snek.
BoogalooBoy1776 i was looking at the wasr went with a lynx pistol instead
Please try to get a Canadian FRT as a non-AR-15 named rifle!
Hey guys I’m new to the firearm stuff what makes a gun shoot quieter than others? Is it the BCG? The barrel? Also what makes it recoil less as well. Thanks!
guns are quieter when the powder burns completely, so a longer barrel. also obviously u can buy a suppressor. theres a quiet style recoil spring insert on the market. and most brakes are loud af but i know that blast compensators like on this gun are the loudest. there are different weight buffers you can buy and also different weight springs. mostly for helping regulate the gun when u add a suppressor but can maybe lower the recoil with higher weight. too much weight will make it not work its a balance.
One word “SWEET”
Just..... Take my money
Im sure its a nice gun. My local shop had one for sale. I didn't buy it
because Maxim customer service told me that if I removed the muzzle
brake/comp or added a suppressor, it voided the warranty on the whole
gun. Who the hell wants to buy a 300BLK without plans to suppress it?
Not a good decision Maxim.
Neat!
So thats not a brace. Looks like a thicker blade brace. Lol. So can I get this with a brace so it wont be a sbr rifle but a pistol?
Oh excelente arma
SHOW THE VELOCITY
What is the stock trigger in this?
Alg
Nice
Papa I want. Papa i want one papa!!
I have a question. We know this is a pdw. But how far can this go? Pushing its limit how many yards?
@Zach cash so what would you recommend in terms of economics a pcc with a longer barrel or a pdw with a short barrel?
200 yards easy. Specifically 11x16 steel plates at 200 yards. 24x24 at 300 yards is harder.
@Zach cash thank but cmmg has a 10mm as I remember the Guard series.
@Zach cashThat goes the same with any other rifle. The PDX is no more difficult to hit the steel target at 200 yards than any other full size rifle. Have you shot one or are you just guessing?
Now if you're talking about lethality, that's a different story. Just based on the sound of the steel, its sound like a PCC.
7.62 x 39 !!!
Will it fit 7.62x39 ak mags???
I would like to know that as well
Can I get uuuuuhhhhh.... keyholing? But nah, this actually looks pretty dope
Very cool in .300 Blackout! Too short a barrel for 5.56.
Nope!
I own one in 5.56. SOCOM has adapted this pistol/pdw. In 5.56 it has 200 yard MOA. That versatility means you have the most optimal weapon for Cqb and yet in the open you are operating a highly accurate gun. You shoot something with a 48 grain ballistic tip hollowpoint like I carry and it's going to have a very bad day. The accuracy at 200 yards for the 300 blk out and 7.62 at that distance just won't be there.
jpchiesa I believe SOCOM uses a 10.3” barrel suppressed. It’s called the MK18. Any rifle with that short a barrel is going to be concussive indoors without a can. Just wish suppressors weren’t such a pain in ass to purchase. The same for SBRs.
@@wisco_guy You are behind the times! This is newly contracted. It doesn't replace anything, just add one more goodie to the toy box.
Gud Lawd I want it.
Wow nice 🖒
I’ll take the Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW all day! They’re the same price
Oh....no! Don't let autnum’s armoury see this puppy, that kitten will be 100% addict to it.
PRICE ?????
Where are you buying your ammo from? I have had great consistency with steel cased 7.62x39. (Tula and Barnaul specifically)
Another question, if the upper and lower are proprietary, why did they leave the charging handle and bolt catch in a dumb spot? I get copying a design, but modifying it to the degree they did requires a substantial amount of redesign of the rest of the parts. Why did they leave the obvious fixes untouched?
So you can use existing parts already available in the market. Doing 100% proprietary means more research and development (higher price) and less sales because people cant upgrade or have variety, being in a AR15 lower/upper plataform already makes it appealing.
10.5 or 12.5 7.62 would be a sweet spot.
I own one. This barrel length is perfect because in 5.56/223 it has 200 yard moa and I am able to put it in a very small day pack. It's so small no one gives the pack a second thought. Also Maxim is working on supressors for it which naturally would affect the overall length. At it's length the pistol is perfectly balanced and puts a smile on your face when using it in cqb.
How $$ will it be when it comes out??
@Mass Appeal O
$2,900 as shown $2,200 without the optic and some other part.
I see why they have done a 5.56 a 300 BLK and a 7.65 x 39 but ... why not also 9mm and .45 ACP ?? Because now as it is, it is an assault pistol/rifle, not a PDW (those rounds are all over penetrating and too loud to be used inside an house).
hmm.. looks A LOT like my Daniel Defense M4 PDW 300blck. (which uses the maximum defense brace)
Man theirs a a lot of videos on these guns breaking. I was wanting one but after researching I think I will look at another brand.
Links? Only vid I saw was the only 1 having gas leaks in the 300blk. Version. All other vids are flawless.
Take my money
7.62х39 хороший пистолет!
The fireball is like 6ft long.
LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU MAKE IT IN 12ga.
Yummy yummy! That is one sweet little beauty!
It's ok I guess. My Q sugar weasel is a gorgeous 300. I wouldn't mind getting the maxium brace for it. Then it would be great and super compact
You can get the Law Tactical folder and it will be shorter than the PDX and about the size of a Sig Rattler with a folding brace but it will add just a little bit more weight.
Yeah the russian 762X39 is so inconsistent it prints 1.5 MOA @100 yards with my MK47 Mutant.
Need one,?
this dude has kids 100%
If this was an indoor range, the fireball would be much more clearer
COD mobile rifles in real life🤯
The (QCB-M4) on COD mobile has the same "hate break" design at the end of the barrel also and the recoil is significantly lower in the game... I'm a nerd only with COD mobile... apologize ahead of time... any gamers out there on the same page?
I must have one of these in 7.62x39!!!
Catlin Young Do you need a specific license in the states?
@@greygrey2984 If I get the pistol version with the brace, and other than provisions set forth by the state I live in, nothing special required
@BombzGoB00M Awesome! Let me know how you like it after you've shot it for a bit if you would please!
