2:00 The german "Machinenpistole" actually can stand for sub machine gun and machine pistol (So for example both the P90 and a Glock18 are "Machinenpistolen")
I’d settle for a Semi-auto only MP7A2. I wouldn’t be able to afford that Fun Switch anyway (especially in an exotic like 4.6mm). My Brügger and Thomet TP9 doesn’t have an inferiority complex around an MP9.
Fun fact: Its used by Irish Police “Garda Response Unit “ in Ireland, the Swat teams here in Ireland carry them. Ireland buys its weapons from Austria or Germany
The heckler and koch machine pistol 7a2 is pretty good along with the h and k mp5k is also pretty good though, the kriss super vector 45 calibre is excellent as well
They should make a carbine version with a 16.5 inch barrel since the sighting setup for the p90 patterns suck and we could use a micro caliber carbine similar to the keltec cmr 30 but without the "not willing to risk my life on" rimfire ammo.
Are there any gel test videos that show the capability of the 4.6x30mm after passing through body armor (and hopefully not just 30 year old "soviet armor")?
Old stockpiles of body armor/vests/carry systems does find its way to third world nations, so it is not impossible that some Boko Haram guy is wearing it.
i can't belive this guy working for H&K can't say Koch correctly (no it's not coke) and another thing: MP is short for Maschinenpistole (that translatets to smg) which are weapons that fire a small caliber (intended for pistols), able to fire in full-auto and two-handed use like a rifle (or something similar) if it's designed to be hold like a pistol (like a Glock or 1911) and is able of full-auto it's called a Reihenfeuerpistole in german so yeah you could use it that way but the name doesn't imply that it's meant for that i can' belive H&K let someone say shit like this
I love German technical language. Never heard the term Reihenfeuerpistole before, but it makes total sense. His definition of "machine pistol" sounded like marketing-speak. I wonder if a German rep would talk about a Taktisches Reihenfeuersystem or something equally ludicrous.
@paperchasin23 the "ch" isnt pronounced the same in english as it is in german. U need to listen to german speakers saying it so u can understand what i mean
"Designed to hit 'a target' at 300m" - what kind of target? A man? "And is accessible (?) and will go through soviet body armour at 200m" - what grade body armour? Pistol or Rifle grade? Without any proof these claims are baseless. I like the MP7, always have, but this guy just sounds like he's regurgitating the powerpoint presentation HK gave him that morning.
Combat Armor is usually rifle grade... thats pretty obvious... and if you're talking about targets you're talking about man sized targets.... really obvious stuff.
A got question: can this gun still function when being submerge under water? can you put additional accessories like sound suppressor, laser sight, flash light and thermal/night vision scope on this gun?
It doesn’t have the folding vertical fore grip, is there a semi civvie version for sale? I got excited when I saw that stupid angle grip, bc it always tells me non sbr toy, but that sure looks like a stock instead of a collapsible brace, but that system accepts braces bc it’s used on a shit ton of sig rifles and sub guns.
This and the MP5/10 are literally the ONLY HK product I've ever had an ounce of interest in. Much like the FN P90 (and the FN5.7 round in general) though I see little to less then zero purpose for it in semi-auto only config where as the 10mm actually makes a semi-auto PCC relevant and gives it desirable capability.

2:00 The german "Machinenpistole" actually can stand for sub machine gun and machine pistol (So for example both the P90 and a Glock18 are "Machinenpistolen")
Great weapon when walking my children to school and if I see a Soviet I know it will go through his armour !
I really wish I could buy one of these. HK, please start making these in your US plant when it's up and running
"Should you decide to use this gun at long range" just cry and hope they get closer
Only difference between A1 and A2 is removal of the folding grip... Tonnes of innovation worth giving the gun an extra number in front of the A
I don't think he said "weapon system" enough times in the video
Sweet! Now when is the civie version coming out?
If only the Hughes amendment was repealed
If only we all agreed to ignore it. Any law that prohibits a constitutional right is null and void. In a perfect world.
I’d settle for a Semi-auto only MP7A2. I wouldn’t be able to afford that Fun Switch anyway (especially in an exotic like 4.6mm). My Brügger and Thomet TP9 doesn’t have an inferiority complex around an MP9.
Fantastic weapons system. My only concern is the exotic round it chambers.
13 times he used "weapon system".
Where does one acquire somthing like that?
"Weapon system" intsifies.
Fun fact: Its used by Irish Police “Garda Response Unit “ in Ireland, the Swat teams here in Ireland carry them. Ireland buys its weapons from Austria or Germany
"I can't think of a better weapon..." P90. At least we average Joes can actually get those...
the mp5 with the military grade ammo had alot better penetration in the competition for the german army
The heckler and koch machine pistol 7a2 is pretty good along with the h and k mp5k is also pretty good though, the kriss super vector 45 calibre is excellent as well
They should make a carbine version with a 16.5 inch barrel since the sighting setup for the p90 patterns suck and we could use a micro caliber carbine similar to the keltec cmr 30 but without the "not willing to risk my life on" rimfire ammo.
do a shot everytime this guy says "weapon SYSTEM"
Or tactical....
Get the stomach pump ready...
Are there any gel test videos that show the capability of the 4.6x30mm after passing through body armor (and hopefully not just 30 year old "soviet armor")?
Soviet body armor? Why is that still relevant
Old stockpiles of body armor/vests/carry systems does find its way to third world nations, so it is not impossible that some Boko Haram guy is wearing it.
When was this filmed? He said it will go through soviet body armour at 300m...
"Semi auto, select fire, or fully auto"
Lol care to explain?
Will this one be released in civilian market?
i can't belive this guy working for H&K can't say Koch correctly (no it's not coke)
and another thing: MP is short for Maschinenpistole (that translatets to smg) which are weapons that fire a small caliber (intended for pistols), able to fire in full-auto and two-handed use like a rifle (or something similar)
if it's designed to be hold like a pistol (like a Glock or 1911) and is able of full-auto it's called a Reihenfeuerpistole in german
so yeah you could use it that way but the name doesn't imply that it's meant for that
i can' belive H&K let someone say shit like this
I love German technical language. Never heard the term Reihenfeuerpistole before, but it makes total sense. His definition of "machine pistol" sounded like marketing-speak. I wonder if a German rep would talk about a Taktisches Reihenfeuersystem or something equally ludicrous.
DarkCookie586 hk's website states its pronounced like coke
Jacob Kilman probably dumming it down for us stupid 'Muricans
Yes Koch is pronounced coke but most people non German still say cock :-)
blades&militariaUK just like van gogh .
"Never back up unless it's a life or death situation." I would think if your shooting in the first place it better be a life or death situation.
When even the Heckler and Koch guy can't pronounce the name "Koch" correctly 🤦♂️
Heckler and coke
Check the H&K wesite FAQ, English speakers CAN pronounce Koch as Coke. Just to avoid people making fun of it and saying Heckler's Cock!
@paperchasin23 the "ch" isnt pronounced the same in english as it is in german. U need to listen to german speakers saying it so u can understand what i mean
I'm going to go over all the features of my folding knife and see how many times I can refer to it as a weapon system.
Well too bad it's not available in the U.S..... Or really any other country by civilians
beauty, i thought the p90 was the best PDF but this one looks more compact and sleek
Most "combat armor" are flak vests, not made to stop rifle rounds: As getting shot is not really the thing that gets most soldiers injured or killed.
anvior45 I'm talking about modern militaries with SAPI Plates.
he's saying soviet, not russian. terrorist are mainly using old soviet body armor, he's saying it will go through that stuff at 200m
if that doesn't work, throw some rounds at their heads.
The HK UCP pistol also fires the 4.6mm round, so the MP7 is not the only weapon to utilize that round.
"Semi auto, select fire and full auto" really. Lol
I like how they show off all these badass guns as if they were available to civilians.
3:14 yellow weapon for "covert use". lol
You know the Middle East. You know where every country has had troops for the last 30 years.
A got question:
can this gun still function when being submerge under water?
can you put additional accessories like sound suppressor, laser sight, flash light and thermal/night vision scope on this gun?
Weapon system weapon system weapon system weapon system weApon system
Tyler Clark I was thinking the same thing.
Defeat "Soviet" body armor? Berlin Wall fell in '91 chief.
So much power in such a small weapon...nice one
Should have made it in 9mm.
I wonder if it could still penetrate Soviet body armor at 200 yards if it was 9mm though...
Should have made them in 5.7x28mm
Matt Canipe Just get a B&T MP9 if you want 9mm.
mr universal Just get a P90 if you want 5.7x28mm.
Len M.
What's your job?
Going from gun video to gun video and telling everybody in the comments wich gun to get if they want a certain caliber?
This and the MP5/10 are literally the ONLY HK product I've ever had an ounce of interest in. Much like the FN P90 (and the FN5.7 round in general) though I see little to less then zero purpose for it in semi-auto only config where as the 10mm actually makes a semi-auto PCC relevant and gives it desirable capability.
