I am so looking forward to your official review! 🤤 Put those bad boys through their paces. 😊 I have owned a SB16-Ultra for the past four years and love it! 🥰 We use it for movies, games, TV, and music. I agree with the succinct words of dear Ed Mullen, "The SB16-Ultra does everything well, and nothing badly." 👍 I've experienced awesome extension down into the lower teens, and I'm pretty sure it's helped create some cracks in my home's drywall. 😮😁 Keep up the excellent work! Ciao, Neil... 😊
I look forward to hearing your feedback. I currently have dual 16 Ultra’s and was considering replacing them for two Perlistens D215s. But now that SVS has change the game I thinking about staying in the SVS ecosystem.
I sure hope it would eventually become an option. The metal grills have saved my subs from kids, pets, vacuum cleaners many times. I have been thinking of upgrading, and have been thinking these, but I worry the lack of metal grills will put them at risk. I might just look at the used market for sb16 ultas.
I have dual SB16'S currently , and I would love to see you do a head- to- head. I'm curious to see how much of an improvement the SB17s provide. I do prefer the metal grills of the SB16 as well.

For the last 20 years I've had four 15 infinite baffle subs. I decided to try these out and have a pair of sb17s showing up Monday. Should be a fun comparison.
Would love your take on SB17s music/stereo capabilities, is it as fast and can handle transients as nimble as the "music friendly" Rel HT/1510 Predator II ?
Hope the automatic room setting DSP is available (probably too early yet), because I'd like to see how well it improves the bass in the room, and how easy (hopefully) it is to use it.
It shows 3 PEQ´s on the app in your video, but on their website it states 6 PEQ´s filters under the description. Will that be sorted out in the near future with an app update perhaps?
@@Gimmesoup88 came here to say the same thing. I’m guessing the sub itself is running a firmware similar to the 16 series and will get an update when the measurement feature is added as well?
I loved the big metallic grill and I own one of the first PB13 Ultras with the digital Sledge amp which had the metallic grill but not with knotches but with magnets on the grill and strong internal magnets embedded inside the cabinet. SVS cheapened out a long the way regarding the grill. Nonetheless a great company always improving their products.
Wow, nice I like the SB subwoofers as well. That’s all I use cut down on the bleeding and booming and port noise. I like the metal grill versus the cloth grill. The cloth grill tends to start rattling overtime. Nice subwoofer can’t wait to see how it sounds and how different it is from the 1600s.
I'm definitely looking forward to hearing your thoughts. I'm sure two of these things in room will be pretty impressive. I may even consider replacing my JL Audio Fathom 12 with one of these monsters!
Wow! Surprisingly the cabinet is smaller than the SB16-Ultra's dimensions of 20"x19.5"x20.1". I guess taking the display out gave them some increased internal volume. 👍
'Edge of Tomorrow' opening bass scene is powerful. Had my OSD Trevoce 12s sub at 40% knob volume & Onkyo receiver at 29 level, shook my kitchen cabinets then felt my eardrums right after. Wonder how it would sound on the Stereo Integrity HST-18 or 24" probably shake my neighbor's kitchen too....

For your review, can you measure the diameter of the driver to see if it really is a 17 inch subwoofer driver or just some SVS marketing BS. Svs's previous subwoofers are a claimed 16 inches but in reality they are compareable to 15 inch subwoofers in size.
@ACM1000000PT Many other manufacturers make concave subwoofer drivers, but you don't here other companies claiming the extra inch. Stay mad, butt hurt fanboy!
