It would be a great quote if the dude knew more wrestling moves than he could count on one hand. He's got an inflated ego and the anabolic warrior only looked good in his matches because so many people had to job to him. Hogan was a shitty wrestler too but warrior makes him look like a technician.
I met Dana Warrior August of 2018, and I almost cried after I told her the Ultimate Warrior was my hero growing up. Then she gave me one big hug, and we had our picture taken together. Very nice lady.
The very reason why I started watching wrestling and became a big fan of this business is because of this guy. Never knew all the issues and troubles he had back then, but whatever it were, he is still a legend and one of the greats in my book.
I mean, I LOVED Warrior as a child because I didn’t realize how much nonsense he spewed, I just loved the look and the energy, but I don’t think he can be called “One of the greats”. He had a very short career, was terrible between the ropes, like seriously terrible, could never sustain his popularity after his first run. He was also terrible to deal with behind the scenes. Im glad he found some peace at the end, and feel for his family, but he wouldn’t make any top 25 list of greatest wrestlers. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t an incredibly important part of my childhood, and I love the character, but that doesn’t make him a great
Some might say he could not wrestle, while others might say he was not easy to work with. But everyone will agree the amount charisma and the way he ran to the ring pumped everyone up combine all this with one of the greatest theme songs and we have one of the greatest personalities of all time.

Back in 1989 when I was ten years old, I became a die hard Ultimate Warrior fan and I was always extremely fascinated with his powerful charismatic wrestling ability! I used to paint my face like his for Halloween back in the day and I always wanted to be buff and badass like him! When he and Hulk Hogan accepted a challenge against each other at Wrestlemania VI, I will never forget being so impatient as I would continuously wait to see it on video cassette. I found out in advance from an episode of Prime Time Wrestling following Wrestlemania VI that I didn't get to watch since I didn't have Pay Per View access that The Ultimate Warrior won. I was so thrilled that I desperately waited for Wrestlemania VI to come out of video cassette. Warrior was at his best from '87-90. His physique at 6:09 is ungodly! Some have said that Warrior was a huge mark for himself. In order to be successful in that industry, you have to be a mark for yourself. He believed in his character & will to succeed with it. The problem was he didn't want to improve his craft, apparently didn't care about protecting his peers in ring, & his ego seemed to spiral out of control faster than his ring entrances. That said, he was a huge part of childhood memories, including mine. People talked about him more than Hogan in grade school, & that alone shows how much impact he had in the business.
The Ultimate Warrior was just 1 of my favorite wrestlers! When he beat Hulk Hogan for the title, I was very happy 😊 for him!!! I only wish that he could have had a better run in the WCW years ago! I can only thank God for allowing us to watch and enjoy the wrestling live of The Ultimate Warrior!!! Ultimate Warrior is the man who got me interested in wrestling at the mere age of 3 years old. I remember watching him and hearing my neighbor proclaim that he's the greatest because he always wins. The energy he put out in his performances is unmatched to this day and I hope his win rate is never beaten and he remains #1 forever. Long live the Warrior!
When the music hit and we saw the Warrior run to the ring with that intense music, amazing physique, facepaint, tassels and shook the ring, the crowd was pumped.
