That still to this day is one of my favorite promos, how many people can say they gave their own Eulogy the night before they passed? When you rewatch it, there is almost a somberness to it, to the point you wonder if he knew his ticket to the big show was punched.
His music playing was all that was needed to pump up the crowd. Then he runs down like a maniac shaking the ropes. He was intense, even though his in ring ability wasn't that good. Still, Warrior was an exciting performer, and that's what's needed in the ring.
@robertcoggeshall3071 you said his in ring ability was not good, if his ability was not good then no other wrestlers have any ability. and you dont know anything then.
All the people who requested this, are legends. Nothing got a young wrestling fan more excited in the 80s than hearing the ring entrance music of Ultimate Warrior. That guitar riff, the first note - and you knew who was coming down the isle - the commotion and excitement of knowing who was about to run down that isle, almost everyone immediately would stand up in excitement 😀 His rivalry with Ravishing Rick Rude was epic lol
I'm 39 and in all of wwf/e history, no other wrestler generated so much raw energy in the audience when he entered. The insane music, the run to the ring, the shaking of the ropes, the fantastic physique, face paint, arm tassels all were just perfect. As a kid in the 80s, I didn't care for his in ring abilities nor his crazy mic regurgitation, for me he was a comic book hero come to life.
I loved this guys energy every time he entered for his matches in the 80’s & 90’s. Especially the feud he had with Ravishing Rick Rude. R.I.U.P. Rest In Ultimate Peace. 🙏
I know people criticise him for his in-ring ability, But we must admit that he was one of the best character and really made wrestling what it is today R.I.P Ultimate warrior. And i love this series, Keep it up! man👍.
I miss the WWF when the entertainment was so good most of us didn't even know it was staged..the story lines..feuds..characters everything was just better
The warrior lives in us today nothing compares when he was and nothing compares when his not he was and still is He had the power to make hulk maniacs go towards him Now that’s what you call the ultimate call to they Ultimate warrior WARRIOR ❤👊🏻
Barry Horowitz should be in the hall of fame. How long was this guy around?! He was always a good worker and great at putting other guys over. He even made Warrior look good!
Honestly The ultimate warrior was actually one of my moms favorite old time wrestlers in WWE. And I think she would always try to Watch a lot of his matches with superstars. And we would never forget that when he passed on April 14th of 2014. And he was only 54 years old. And it was insane honestly. Of a heart attack. But always still forever missed and remembered by everyone. ❤️
This is dope!! This pop up on my recommended videos n .. I’m 41 n grew up watching wwf.. n warrior was my favorite wrestler of them all… Man this took me back to my childhood days.. revisiting all the matches I loved watchin him in as kid!! THANK YOU!! This is very well put today… R.I.P Warrior🙏
R.I.P The Only Ultimate. Thank you for the great memories and energy you brought to the wrestling world. when i was growing up I looked up to Ultimate Warrior. Sad he's gone too early and I'll miss him.
he had a great body but didnt care about wrestling - only care about money - i like watching him but would have cared more about business and learned 2-3 more moves - he would have been even better
PEOPLE CAN SAY ANYTHING BUT HIS CHARACTER WAS DIFFERENT. IT'S STILL UNMATCHED TO THIS DAY 💯! NO ONE RUNS IN A RING WITH FACE PAINT & TASSELS AROUND THEIR ARMS & SHAKE THE ROPES. ULTIMATE WARRIOR IS UNIQUE & 1 OF A KIND RIP! U.W
The Dingo warrior & The Ultimate Warrior for almost 3 decade's. Absolutely legendary sure thing's will go up & down.. what a show put on by WWF. My all time favourite WWF universe of the 80's & 90's none can replace such creativity & my favourite PS2 game of all time's the legend's of wrestling by acclaim ❤❤🎉🎉✌🏾
As a die hard fan of hogan. The lost to th ultimate warrior broke my heart . 1was 12 at that time. I stop watching wwF . I watched it in betamax format here in the Philippines. Damn warrior😂.
Warrior had a series of house show matches against Vader in the summer of 1996, which were never televised unfortunately. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them was his real last match in the WWF.
the first time i saw him it was the Dingo Warrior and of course he looked awesome and i was a kid and was like who is this guy!? then i could swear i randomly saw him for a second time one day watching wrestling, then i did not see him again for awhile and the next time he was Ultimate Warrior. how many Dingo matches were actually televised.
I like that someone finally stuck it to Vince for a change. Of course it was not very smart for his long term career as Vince had all the power but it does make me smile.
No fool, lol it wasn't Jim Hellwig AKA Ultimate Warrior, it was someone else, a guy named Richard Wilson, that Jimmy Hart & hulk Hogan brung in temporary to WCW..
I truly believe that the Warrior could have been bigger than Hogan if he did not let his ego get in the way. This guy was not about the business. They both were pretty stiff in the ring.
"He might break the fishing line"? Mate, if Ultimate Warrior was a fisherman, I don't think he'd even *bother* with a rod. He'd just jump out of his boat and elbow-drop the fish.

Nobody brought excitement , happiness and shivers like the Ultimate Warrior to kids / adults all over the world.
Mostly kids…it *is* pro wrestling after all.
Look in the crowd, it's mainly adults.@@booboodafoo3247
This for sure. His matches do NOT hold up at all now, but when I was a kid he brought me so much joy
His last speech though.. truly tearful..
Yeah, even more tearful when you realise he died the next day. One of the saddest deaths in WWE history. R.I.P The Ultimate Warrior.

There’s so many people who did make it in, that shouldn’t, but Horowitz actually should be there.
He is my favorite jobber. The pat himself on the back gimmick made me laugh.

It’s crazy to think Warrior was only 55 at the time of his passing.
