I met Rick Rude in 1990 with my family, when I was 9. He was the nicest person, jokingly flirting with my mother and was really kind to my autistic younger brother. It was a quick encounter but one of the best moments in my childhood.
@@denisdemey9624 a truly disgusting heel loved this guy especially his WCW stuff with flair over fee fee and his entrance from wcw he's simply ravishing would have loved to see him make that come back
This was so long ago but I remember meeting Rick twice and his family once. First time was him coming into our family landscape nursery in the early 1990’s, Rick and my father just hit it off (they where close in age and both large, strong with charisma). Second meeting was when our family was invited to his sons 3rd birthday party, Rick dressed up as big bird and got stuck in the costume. It’s definitely a memory I will never forget and all the big guys where ragging on him but he was absolutely the best father there by far! It’s sad his son probably doesn’t remember because he was so young but Rick was so excited about that costume and making his sons birthday special.
Rick Rude had it all from body, excellent wrestling skills, he can talk, believable heel character that talks the talks plus walks the walks and the man that you want carrying a pro wrestling company. God bless Rick Rude in paradise!!
Talk about a guy who could instantly make everyone hate him. He's not talked about enough when it comes to some of the greatest heels. This video just made me appreciate him that much more. RIP to the Ravishing One.
Rick...flexing on the crowd...wiping up his chest...then flicking his sweat, is the funniest wrestling gimmick ever. It beats everything every other wrestler ever had.
One of my earliest memories of a "heel" in wrestling. I love the fact that he seems a decent family guy and loyal friend to Brett too (Brett also said so in his autobiography). Class act. RIP.
Respect, big respect to Rick Rude. Master heel. Master talker. Underrated athletic prowess. He could MOVE in the ring. His “Cut The Music “ pre-match putdown speeches are still incredible to watch. The Rude Awakening is always an amazing neckbreaker.

Dark fact about the death of Rick. He was actually preparing himself to make a comeback for wrestling without being signed by anyone. It was speculated by family that he was demanding a lot of his body, going back into the same workout regiment and steroid cycle that he had during his prime when he held the intercontinental championship. On top of that, he was taking a copious amounts of pain killers
That was good! Thank you! Rick and Jake had the best mullet / mustache combinations to ever grace a wrestling ring. Rick was one of my favorites for sure.
Its crazy how cartoonishly large some of these wrestlers in the 80s were. Looking at Rude as an adult now (41 years old) he was bigger than anyone i know now. And by 80s wrestlers standards he was svelte.
I loved his finishing move the rude awakening. He was great while being managed by Bobby the brain Heenan. He was a great wrestler. Great memories of being a kid in the 80s.😃
Ravishing Rick Rude imho should have been a multi time world champion. He had it ALL!!!!! As a singles competitor, his in ring work, skill set, look, and promo were reminiscent of Ric and Harley. His tag team talents were HIGHLY UNDERRATED as he and Fernandez had a FANTASTIC RUN!!!

One of the greatest showmen of the WWF glory days, genuine legend. Easily the strongest wrestler ever, pound for pound and then some. Nice work on this video. I recently found this channel after a great trip down a WWF rabbit hole. I was playing all the old theme songs while at work. Awesome stuff, looking forward to more.
I heard stories that Rick was the toughest guy in the locker room. And considering how big some of those guys were Rick must have been pretty damn tough.
Thanks for making this . Rick Rude was a true genius at the performance side of pro wrestling and he had probably one of the best if not the best physiques during that era. He left this world way too soon and as a kid i loved watching him perform. Today's guys just dont have that something special that Rick had.
My favorite heel of all time next to Mr. Perfect. He used to sell the butt slam so well. Whenever Rick Rude would get butt slammed, it was hilarious! Then it gets finished with a clothe slam lol

His feud with Jake Roberts has me rolling when he got his tights ripped off for having the formers wife on them 😂. Nonetheless, he played up to the crowd as one of the best best heels in the 80s.
