- Instead of super glue you use Loctite. Loctite is released by heating it up. This way you can make the crown serviceable without losing the stem. Loctite is applied into the crown btw, not on the stem, otherwise it will shove out of the way when screwing on.
- for releasing the stem, whilst the dial and hands are installed, you could use a rubber movement holder. it doesn't touch the hands, keeps the dial intact but holds it firm, steady and flat, but well done by you on the cusion.
I don't have problems with copying rolex looking parts, but to copy a designers work is a bit of a nono for me, but everyone has his own boundaries :)
I enjoyed your excitement very much.
Great build . I build these watches for fun and sell them on and they are great . Just find the right supplier for good quality parts and you will be ok . I’ve made about 5-6 now and the next one I do will be like this as been watching the dial for a while now
been wanting to make my own watch for a while now. After watching your video I've finally bit the bullet and bought the parts, just waiting for them to arrive! thanks Elliot
Where do you found the parts? I’m a noob on aliexpres and I want to make my own too.
@@igrboss i found them all on aliexpress i just filtered by delivery to the uk
@@brothermanben7140 can you share the parts bro?
It's not fake, you made it. Handmade. Should be proud of it
*Hand assembled
That's really cool! I collect watches, and have wondered for many years how difficult it would be to just order all the parts like this, and build my own custom watch?
Now I think I can do it! 🤠
you're talented, i liked it
thanks! you and other tubers inspired me and i build my own watch! was a blast!
I have paused multiple of your videos to try and work out what you're wearing haha, nice job. Most adventurous I've gotten is modding my SKX013
Although I am not particularly interested in watches, I really enjoyed it! I had to “watch” it all. (I’ll get me coat)
this video made me order the parts to do this! thanks for introducing me to this ive always wanted to get into watches
I love retro gaming and I love watches and when the two come together… *chef’s kiss
I’m actually really impressed
This is inspiring. I think I’m going to try to make one for myself !
Built a few of these a few years ago, a couple with 2815 and a bronze tuna can with nh36a, they're still holding up pretty well!
i enjoyed watching this quite a bit keep up the great work elliot
Thank you very much ❤️
Nice watch well done and as an added bonus there's nothing fake about it! 🙂
This is my favorite of your builds
As a watchmaker, I say you did well. I have been following your channel for a long time now. Keep up with the good work.
Not my favorite design, but I was pleased watching this 😊
It's nice to see someone assembling something that isn't a gameboy or a keyboard.
Great video , you stand out in a field of grey watch vids, loved the whole idea of it
Just when I've considered building an AliWatch myself. Elliot you inspire me, this was a great watch (watch?) and honestly, you could make an entire spinoff channel of just this and I'd eat it for breakfast.
You did great!
There is no glue needed to attach the screw to the winding stem though. Screwing it in will do just fine.
He probably wanted to use locktite but didn't have any.
Nice work! I've been doing this for a while and it's honestly so much fun. If you want to get freaky with it you can take the train bridge off of the movement and paint it with automotive paint to add some colour. You can also buy custom rotors and movement bridges to spice things up if you have a clear caseback
