    Really great light, I have the 500. We just had a nor’easter, and we were without power for four days. The light, (and all of my other BioLite products), really made the four days a lot more comfortable. Thanks.

    I’m 24 and got mine today and was so excited they are so nice my sis laughed at me. I love them. Sturdy too. I’m probably getting another set I bought for whole family but to me wasn’t enough I need two for my own party in my room 🤣. These are great products. So far u haven’t let me down biolite. Also I went to the darkest part of my house and used them and they were so good. I even compared to the light in tht room and we couldn’t tell the difference. Compared to a flashlight when all four are on they outshine the flashlight. I love your products 🇨🇦🤩. I like the message behind your company so will continue to buy. I hope one day u all can make an actual solar generator u all will probably blow the competition out. I would be first in line to buy. 🙌🏾. Thank u for giving me light and saving my electric bill for all the reading I can now do in the night.

    Love it and great video. I swore off ever buying another item that has micro USB - this could possibly change my mind but I would jump on a couple of them if it used USB C.

    Excellent instructional, and a product to match! The high lumen outputs together with the warm white mode (and long battery life) make it a great standard type lantern, and the colours and adjustability then make it the ultimate portable mood light as well. The 250 looks ideal for my solo camping purposes :)

    I just received my Alpenglow 500 today and I love it. The only flaw that I can see is that the candle mode is not continuous. It flickers for about four seconds, pauses for one second, then repeats the pattern. Apparently that is by design; you can see the pause at the end of the flickering at 2:47 in this video.
    I wish the flickering were continuous, but maybe it is designed this way on purpose to conserve battery power.

    • @BioLiteChannel
      @BioLiteChannel  7 місяців тому

      So glad to hear you'r enjoying your AlpenGlow! Candle Flicker mode is designed to have a natural flicker cadence (smooth flame effected by occasional air movement) which is why it's not continuous, but this is great feedback for our team. Thank you.

    • @nathanjamesbaker
      @nathanjamesbaker 7 місяців тому

      @@BioLiteChannel I also considered that might be the case. In my opinion the pause only makes the flickering appear unnatural because it is on such a regular pattern. If you do want to keep the pause for making it appear more natural, my advice would be to make the pause shorter, or better yet, it should be completely random in terms of when the pauses occur and how long they last.

    Great little light; love a model that simply turns on white with +/- intensity and the half/half option; does anybody actually use the pretty colours options? Thanks for the video; reviewing it again as it's been a year since I used my light when camping :)

    I got mine a couple months ago, two of them. One of them thinks it is charging or won't switch to the colorful modes anymore. Just the cool white and warm white modes. Help? Let me say though the lights are beautiful. I have the base XL version too and it is alright. At least in the new ones, you don't have to get on your phone to get to the color morph mode on the XL basecamp. That is an improvement seen in these AlpenGlows'. But is there a factory reset or something to fix my problem. They aren't old and got through Dillards couple months ago.

    All of the color modes on my 500 have stoped working. Only the cool and warm white modes work. I expected much more from you BioLite. The colors are the only reason I bought this lantern. Apparently that feature is just a one year trial. 😢

    My 500 weirdly doesn't appear to have a bright mode and I seem to be following the directions properly. It flashes but doesn't actually change and become dimmer or brighter. I'm wondering if it's because I used it straight out of the box without first charging it. But it cycled through all the colors, fireworks etc with no problem. At one point after lots of monkeying around it went into a mode in which if consistently repeated an ultra almost painfully bright flash pattern (but slow) but I don't know how I did that nor its purpose and it would never stay on that bright - it would only do a brief flash. Any thoughts? Thanks.

      @@BioLiteChannel It only had one light on for battery level so I charged it then went to bed. Woke up and it now behaves as it should! So I think obviously that its behavior was that on such a low battery it won't allow bright other than the quick burst of ultra bright. That may have been its own way of alerting that it's almost run dry, which would actually be a smart feature because my trying to change the brightness level induced it probably (it would be horrible if that started on its own while sleeping for instance).

    Why not include stronger batteries? 1200 mAh to 2500 mAh wouldn't cost that much more but the lamps would last so much longer. I don't get it.

      Hi Hans -- the 250 has a 3200 mAh battery and the 500 has a 6400 mAh battery. We're fitting a lot of functionality in a very small space while also trying to keep weight and cost in mind for our users. Thanks!

    Just purchased 2 of the 500’s and a 250. Upon closer inspection there is a hazard warning for “Cancer and Reproductive Harm” in tiny font on the underside of the packaging?? Is that in relation to the lights, the materials used in manufacture or the packaging??? Seems very odd for an environmentally conscious brand and something I regret purchasing … was dual purpose for camping and for my kids night lights, which I’d be irresponsible to use for this purpose now I know this! Think I’ll return and get a refund. Plenty of HARMLESS alternative light sources on the market

    • @BioLiteChannel
      @BioLiteChannel  6 місяців тому

      Hello - thank you for the note! To address your concern, our AlpenGlows don't have materials that require that warning. Why is it on there? The state of California requires this notice any time a product contains a specific material - in our case a plastic. Our manufacturing team is working on completing testing through an independent lab to get this removed - a regular process that often takes some time and overlaps with initial production runs. We hope this helps you get out and use the product with peace of mind!
