It’s a beautiful hike thanks for taking us along. With snow that firm a pair of microspikes would have made life a lot easier. When I did c2c in November conditions were similar but I found the snow portion easier than my previous attempts with no snow because the snow smoothed out the trail and the spikes gripped very well in that type of snow. I’ve done that Deer Spring loop with no snow, the part from Wellmans divide down to the junction was my favorite.
Yes, I agree! That was my first time ever using my yak tracks… I think they’re better suited for ice and maybe road. My two buddies both had micro spikes and we’re very pleased with them so I definitely need to get me a pair! Thanks for watching! So great up there.
