- Official video clip created by RCF thanks to several official videos of the band Journey during their concert in Philadelphia on June 4, 1983, accompanied by the song "Oh Sherrie" performed live by the band in (Detroit on October 9 from 1986) from Steve Perry's solo album "Street Talk" released in 1984.

Many people get annoyed by this kind of montages, but they don't even take the time to see that it claims to be an "Official RCF" video to protect their brand by having made these wonderful videos. They also don't take the time to read the description box of all the videos where it clarifies that they are edited videos used for songs and videos of original presentations of the band.
But well, I'm sure that if these people were given 100,000 dollars they would also complain, enjoy Journey and these videos that fans make with all the love and respect they have for the band and other Journey fan community, as there are many people who have been left with the doubt of "How would have been the presentation of Journey with that song that is only in audio but not in video".

However!! Steve Perry DID perform this song in 1986 with Journey! And if I remember, he also performed 'Strung Out'. However, I just can't remember if he did or not. I just know he did 'Oh Sherrie' on the Raised On Radio tour in 1986! That's why I posted what I did because, it's what I saw and remember when they were in Houston, in 1986!

Oh Sherrie was never sung with Journey. It was from Steve Perry’s solo album, Street Talk
@@jerik2004 ... Yes, it was a Steve Perry solo song, but he DID sing it with Journey in concert sometimes. I can attest to that personally because they played it at the show I attended on December 20th 1986 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.

Considering how many times he performed this song with the band, this really should have been on the Journey's Greatest Hits album.
This is a pretty rare video of the Band Performing "Oh Sherry" Since He released the song on his solo Album in 1984, which was after the Frontiers Tour and before the Raised on Radio Tour, the only time the Band would have performed it with Steve Perry, would have been the Raised on Radio Tour. So, although I love this tune, it does not need to be on the Bands Greatest Hits album.

@@musicman4557 this is nothing of the sort, it is just a bit of video pieces, not so creatively spliced together to make it seem like the band is performing this song. It's odd why this had to be done as the song was performed several times on the Raised on Radio Tour, this is however not one of them. Somebody has to have some video evidence of this being performed on the tour somewhere.
This video is NOT of Journey with Steve Perry singing Oh, Sherrie. The audio is from a concert in Detroit, the video (poorly edited) is from a concert in Philadelphia, and is NOT Oh, Sherrie. The audio vocals never match up with the video, fast cut edits, reuse of footage, etc.
That being said, Journey with Steve Perry is the absolute best. John Bon Jovi didn't call Steve Perry "The Voice" for nothing!

I have seen Steve sing it live in 1993 but his voice was not the same sadly by then and I think his health was going downhill that's why he left Journey , the band always said he was welcome to return but he gave Arnel his blessing to carry on singing these great songs

This video is from the 1983 concert at JFK Stadium in Philly. The audio is probably from Detroit, but the video is Philly. and I know, cause I am in this video! ( was also in the official Send Her My Love video, filmed at JFK).

Great catch Greg, I thought this too. I knew it wasn't Oh Sherry. This is from they're Frontiers live tour and VHS Video, mostly like Any Way you want it, they dubbed the words into the video but they aren't singing Oh Sherry.
Yep, as I said in a previous comment, this is a fairly Rare Video of Journey play "Oh Sherry" live. The only time they performed it together would have been the "Raised on Radio" Tour.

That's right, if you want you can take a look at the video description where we always leave all those details about the video you are watching. The audio is from a Journey concert on their 1986 tour (Raised on Radio), set over some of Journey's performances on their Frontiers 1983 tour.
