Thanks much for the time and effort invested into solving this mystery. *Yanks off his Truxican Wrestler Mask-It was Old Man Witherslack!* Additional info: I did the DLCs for the first time ever last weekend after watching your vids (Also first as Lilith). However, I did it at max level on PT2 and I do get many Legendaries and *too* many Eridians each gift shop run. My order: Playthrough 1 All Missions; Playthrough 2 (Again all missions); Moxxie-Prove Yourself Mission; Knoxx-up to Enter Code (Access through floor); Zombie Island-Complete (Max Level about half way); Robolution-Complete. Not particularly fun that way (Also at 653 hours straight of BL Enhanced). Going to try it your way after a brief respite of finishing your BL2 Walkthrough (at #40) and playing BL2 beyond the Four Assassins for the first time ever.
Just have to commend you on an amazing job as usual Slack. This walkthrough has kicked my Mordecai build into overdrive! One run through the gift shop after following the criteria and I snagged a Double Savior, a Liquid Orion and a scoped Pestilent Defiler! Thumbs Up!
Hey Slack, just watched your Claptrap Robolution playthrough and got through to the Hyperion Gift Shop. Was wondering about getting Legendaries, then I watched that you have to progress the story to the Powering The Fast Travel network. I haven't reached that mission; however, I have gotten some kick ass weapons from the chests like a raging shotgun and a crimson lance sniper that will definitely help me through getting upto that area. So I can recommend that people go through the Claptrap DLC even just to get some weapons to help get you further in the story. Plus, thanks for your Million Dollar walkthrough video. *edit* I just got upto the mission "Powering The Fast Travel Network" and opened the chests in the gift shop on my first playthrough and I am getting Legendaries.
They came out with a revolver that holds 410 shotgun shells about eight years ago(Taurus I think). It's called The Judge cause Judges carry it under their robes just in case.
You know Slack... It's reasons like this that we love you so much! Although doing this in game isn't always as easy as you make it look, I appreciate you doing the adventuring so we "technically" don't have to!
Hey Slack, thanks for this follow-up video. Like a lot of people since the BL3 announcement I'm binging on Borderlands, so bought this after finishing BL2 again and the Pre-Sequel (previously owned BL1 on the 360). Following on from your walkthrough I thought I'd wait to do the Claptrap DLC at level 19 and get those luscious golds at level 20ish. However, the first two runs to the shop were low-level and no golds so I thought the trigger was you have to wait 2 levels before it kicks in. Turns out during the next 2 levels I must've done the level 20 mission. I definitely hadn't left Fyrestone before the doing the DLC. I'm now getting some fantastic legendaries (once, six in one go) and also got a god-level sniper that's more like a BL2 one. It make the game a bit easy though. There's no pleasing some people!
Actually you can get legendaries to pop up down in that room at any level during any play through you just have to farm it enough I'm on playthrough number 2 and level 50. Just practice a little Patience which people seem to lack a lot of lately
I didn't play the game "in order" that it was made years ago, so I'm not seeing anything at my level, which is 56 now. I still see level 30 and 40 weapons and shields. The ONLY place I see anything worth keeping, is from the Shift Code chest. And since those codes are being randomly issued, it makes my weapons and shields difficult to come by.
I never get levels above my current level. It maxes out at 40 I presume at play level 1. I went in the gift shop at level 41 and the highest I get is level 40.
Not sure if you've beaten it yet, but focus on destroying turrets from a distance, and try to only kill claptraps when you are down to get second wind. Also you can easily dodge the laser eye from afar if you move while shooting. Hope that helps!
I'm watching your pistolero build series and at the same time playing it myself. But how do you decide, what weapons to keep, especially the ones without elemental effect? It's not alone the DPS as far as i can see. What makes a revolver or pistol a skag, spiderant or bandit buster? Do you look for certain manufacturers? Or do you only keep violet weapons and legendaries?
Very interesting! thanx for sharing!! One question though, when doing that DLC at, say level 20, the missions there are locked at these levels, so aren't the final chests not locked too at these levels? Meaning when you come back at level 30 into the gift shop, aren't the chests not giving only level 20 loot?? Thank you
Superb video. I really enjoyed you waiting until the Claptrap said "Dahl...." before cutting it off by travelling to the "Headlands" Mashers are by far my favourite pistol in BL1, especially on Mordecai
im currently working thru the dlc after I killed bonehead sol would you say its worth unlocking e ven before legenderies are you getting more purple than you would normally get if doing the original game
played the Tartarus Station except i went deeper in the main game switching back and forth to over level and all went well till i got to the last tartarus mission. Faced all opponents and won with ease but when i faced Steele Trap she was over two levels above me and i could not defeat her ???
How do we get your guide if it’s available to the public? I couldn’t see a link in the description? Looks like a spreadsheet that should have earned you a PhD!!!
does dlc story missions count? i was following your million dollar power start and was getting legendaries from the chests in tbone junction from just having a level 35 mission active.
hi major my name is marcel i live in the netherlands im a lvl 22 mordecai and i have done about 5o runs on giftshop 25 on lvl21 and 25 on lvl22 stil havent found 1 legendary how is this possible you got plenty?????
I'm a new subscriber and what's weird i tried maaaaany times to farm bosses , i only receive 68 and my level is 69 , my question is , why in vending machines in item of the day you can get 69 level loot , why i farm bosses and receive 68 only ? Example : i want ajax oger level 69 or eredian legendary 69 levels . Im pissed off from chests that can't provide 69 levels.
I do. When I said it's a warm day, that means warm enough to open the windows but nowhere near warm enough to warrant turning on the air conditioner. It's still spring here in Montreal. ;)
Thanks much for the time and effort invested into solving this mystery.

The Slack always does his homework, A+ boss! Thumbs UP! :)
Nice slippers by the way ;)
Nice detective work, Slack. I would never have figured that out.
Thanks! :)
This was a big help after following this guild I got 5 legendary first try

Ooh!! I'm even picking up some iridium weapons
WOW! Great Info Slack.
With the 15 kills mission at Dahl Headland, you can shoot them through the gaps in the fence from outside.
Been getting lots of legendaries. Unlocked the gift shop at level 35 after completing the main story.
Gunslinger Mordecay? Yes please 😁
awesome video again slack and its warm in London uk as well drinking gin and tonic to cool off
Do some vids of you owning high level enemies! Some crazy seat of the pants combat!
Great video. Thanks
good work man

Hey can you do a video on how to beat the final mission in the claptrap dlc? I am at about lv28 and i still cant beat the mega claptrap.
Not sure if you've beaten it yet, but focus on destroying turrets from a distance, and try to only kill claptraps when you are down to get second wind. Also you can easily dodge the laser eye from afar if you move while shooting. Hope that helps!

Dude I beat knoxx trap 3 levels above me, zombie ned and steele trap 4 levels above me, and minac a whopping 5 levels above me as lilith

Got an Eridian weapon at lvl 8 with my active mission set on Blinding Nine-Toes

I followed your way but now I'm level 50 and the weapons won't go higher then 42 at the gift shop? Did I miss something or is that as high as they go?
I'm pretty sure that in playthrough 2 in order for dlcs to scale you have to complete the knoxx dlc
Oh and btw if your on playthrough 1 I think it only goes to about 40 be wise your supposed to start playthrough 2 at about lvl 35
@@theinfection9513 O.K. Thanks!
Well crap i just entered into dhal so i guess no legendaries for me. Ive just hit 24 and have yet to see anything even close to my level.
Literally just finished the dlc and speed run dahl. Was so excited
Well do some story missions then
and you didn't like revolvers !
Correction: I don't like revolvers WITHOUT SCOPES. I've said that many times.
@MajorSlackVideos.....Does this work on the original version or only the goty? Appreciate you as always buddy😊
What about pearlescent
no
I thought you had an air conditioner?
I do. When I said it's a warm day, that means warm enough to open the windows but nowhere near warm enough to warrant turning on the air conditioner. It's still spring here in Montreal. ;)
