Helpful tip for console players that are dashboard farming. Go in offline mode and sign out to return straight to the main menu. Instead of closing your application and reloading the game entirely. This works on bl2 as well
Bro are you serious?! Only the FIRST FIVE SDUs missions have the chance to drop in the main story. I've tried farming for the Krom one, not realizing it's literally impossible. Otherwise great video, will definitely check out more of your content!

I know I’m late but I’m bl1 2.5 mode you can get the storage upgrade. I did a farm in lost cave and got one. But I did about 25 resets for Kroms and haven’t gotten any.
Im late but on xbox you can sign out of your profile to quit without saving and it will bring you to back to the main menu without having to quit the game

@@Spectra1351 Sorry...new character. The ones that gave you the grenade mods are necessary to 'farm' by repeatedly quitting game until they give the SDU. Doing a new character isn't too terrible though, 1) farm experience start of game, 2) rush through story, 3) farm experience endgame. I have videos on all of that :)
Do you have to get the bag pack sdu for lockdown palace during through one or can you get it during play through two if you didn’t get it in play through one?
For what I remember you can get it either on PT1 or PT2. I dont recall if turning in the mission for a grenade mod on PT1 affects getting the SDU on PT2 though.

It helps to have max (or overflow) inventory but I don't think it guarantees a drop on the non guaranteed sdus. If it did, the prison wouldn't be such a nightmare
@angel ma Sorry to hear it. The Playthrough 1 sdu's are guaranteed (minus the Knoxx dlc). Playthrough 2 story SDU's can require many attempts. Did you already beat Playthrough 2 final story boss? If so, Playthrough 2 SDU's can't be obtained on that file any more
I've played a lot of 2, not Pre sequel or 3 yet. My goal is to stream 4+ days a week and upload multiple videos to youtube weekly, but supporting myself is my priority and I can't seem to make the time to make content like I want to right now. One day, either soon or in the future, I'll be making a lot of content for many games (BL2, Diablo 3, several rpgs, collectible cards, and more). I'm also continuing to teach myself how to photoshop and video edit better (I just bought Sony Vegas). Lots of things to come, hopefully soonish :)
The main story backpack SDUs in Playthrough 2 (and the Knoxx dlc SDU) are the ones that require multiple attempts (up to 20+ attempts potentially). If you have already beaten the last boss in Playthrough 2, then the Playthrough 2 SDUs are no longer obtainable.
@@danberr5010 ok I remember, I had played the recent rerelease on steam, and I had finally gotten them. I had gotten all on the first play thru, then in the second playthrough, I had to get them in the exact same order. I also had kept a bunch of side missions not turned in, and when I was about to get an SDU, I'd turn in some dude missions and that would make the SDU be rewarded. But I don't know if that works for the Switch version
@@angelgarnica7294 Sorry, not quite understanding how side missions relate to the claptrap rescue missions. Regardless, hope you succeed in getting all of them. The backpack SDUs work the same in the switch version - I included the applicable Borderlands platforms in the thumbnails (top right corner). The SDUs function the same in the switch/ps4/xbox1/pc versions :)

I'm picking up that the game limitates how many SDU's you collect, so, you have to save spam until the game produces an SDU instead of some other item. I'll keep a note of this fact.
Sorry I don't think so. It seems like the % chance drop SDUs are the ones that become unavailable after completing PT2. It doesnt take too long to rebuild a max character tho....couple hours to lvl to 40ish, 5ish hours to beat story twice, couple hours to level to max I think?
I did the mission in the General Knoxx DLC in Lockdown Palace for Claptrap, but I don't think I got a backpack for some reason, and thought it might be a bug, or glitch. Help! Edit: ok so I watched the video, and apparently I can't get the backpack now because of a bug I didn't know about..........I KNEW I didn't get the backpack from him! Edit 2: ok so apparently your only supposed to get like 42 backpack slots, but you found a way to get more it just involves some rng....is this both versions, or just the remastered version? Edit 3: ok so I never knew you could hold so much space in your backpack so thanks for letting me know. It's just annoying that 6 of them have really bad rng for them, and weird you can't get all of them twice, and really annoying that any of them have that stupid rng!

I’ve been playing Borderlands 1 for years and I never knew there was a claptrap in Old Haven.
When you finish the "not without my claptrap" mission, you can get him.
I’m almost done with playthrough 2 and didn’t farm sdu’s thinking I could only get them once 😭
Before completing playthrough 2 (which takes you to PT 2.5), you can load up PT1 to get all those SDUs then get them all in PT2 after as well :)

Hey! The only SDU from Krom's canyon is playthrough 1. In playthrough 2, the final main story SDU is Earl's scrapyard.

When you have a full inventory while you turn in the quest it's a garanutee sdus
No save necessary
