Shame the 25 wasn't operational, I was at the Llangollen diesel gala a few weeks ago and the visiting Class 25 sounded absolutely brilliant... as did the 47, 31 and 26 of course! Hi Julian, Great to see you enjoying the preservation railways in the UK!. My favourite diesel is the Class 37 so great to see one in this vlog, although like you, I have early memories of my local diesels which were Class 33s and thumpers as dmus of course. I love the 9F but my favourite steam locos are the GWR prairies, although I only have four (so far). Cheers! 🙏
Wow Julian looks like you are building a fantastic portfolio of your visit to the UK, you have seen more live steam in your stay than I have in my 66 years lol. Hi Julian, It was a pleasure to meet you at GETS on Saturday I would have liked to have a longer chat with you as have been to Australia & New Zealand but you I am sure had a lot of others wanting your attension so I hope you liked your visit to the NYMR and GETS which I must say was a bit manic this year over the other ones I have been to. It is super when a modeller can see his fravorite engines up close so pleased you have. Keep safe and well and do not work to hard on Sandling Junction enjoy your visit here. Cheers Robert.

I had the same Hornby 25 as my first diesel loco in the eighties! Now I have two of them in the BR blue but they’re slightly different shades of blue. Possible sun damage on one…

I have a Sutton Locomotive Works 25 on order and you probably just missed the event they held in Crewe recently, where they had plenty on display and running. Hope to see you at GETS later. I must admit I've not done a great deal of running sessions or updated my intro (for years), but you're right, these locos need to feature on the channel more.

Good to see you have made use of the good weather the UK has been having recently. Has the trip given you any inspiration for Station Road? Was looking at the tracks behind you at the engine shed and remembering the work you put in on your goods yard ballast - might we see a video in the coming months on really oil and cinder coveted tracks at Station Road? Good choice, I love the 24/25 classes too. Not sure they would be my most favourite but they're definitely up there.

Thanks James, I certainly gathered a tone of inspiration from NYMR, but then inspiration came from all angles throughout the entire UK trip.
Up to Milton Keynes? Your in the North, so MK is in in South, which is down! I Know, its all upside down from your view! lol
Yep, up was down and down was up. The southerly wind was warm and the northerly cold. At least the cars drove on the same side of the road🙂🙃
