Paul, "Piglet" to his friends. The guy takes his role seriously, and is now the director of engineering. So well done Sir, u earned it. You have shown exemplary behaviour, attitude, expertise, commitment an hard graft. Enjoy ur well earned promotion!
Hi 👋🏻 Piglet. Congratulations on your promotion 🤩 But so glad you’ve taken the time for a shed tour as your knowledge and explanation are superb 👍🏻 Until the next time take care.
Mate, that was brilliant. Really enjoyable to hear some of the more techy stuff that goes on at NYMR - proper impressed. I know you've got a day job, but when you can... more please!
Good to see an update and congrats on your promotion. Very informative. Quite the TV star - enjoyed watching an episode of the Yorkshire Express last night - best soap on TV.
Excellent video. Very clearly explained and a good practical insight into modern steam engine maintenance. Fantastic work by all the volunteers and staff.
Nice video Piglet. As an apprentice at North Rd Darlington I got the tail end of steam and loved the 9F which I "drove" a few yards to reposition the rods once when in the Light repair Team at Green street sheds ? still arailwayman at heart.
Excellent video with lots of information on the locomotives currently in for maintenance. Great commentary too - Paul you're a natural.👍 Don't leave it so long next time please.
Congrats on the promotion , you deserve it , you will be great in your new position , being prepared to get into your overalls and get dirtyfixing things , Piglet you have a very good way of explaining complicated things simply , which usually avoids that famous childhood question "why?" . Is 9f ticketed for mainline steam ? If so that must be a treat to use to Whitby and back . If not , what would be the imedment on such a good engine for that job .
Thanks piglet. I have said this before but an update on the diesel fleet would be greatly appreciated. There are many members, including me, that are very interested in what’s happening to the diesels. Keep up the good work.👍
Excellent and informative video. You have to admire the men in the workshops who built the engines in the first place. Skilled me ( as are your fitters and boilersmiths). Hope you have a great season. rgds Graham Powell
Nice to see you back on the farm Piglet .Your information is first class .Where would they be without you . ? You need to be General Manager .It would be a better railway for it .
Nice to see Piglet back. Will be nice when Magpie is back in steam nothing like a reliable Black 5! Hopefully they put her in original LMS livery then they will have each LMS livery (lettering style) on the property with Bishop Treacy in the newer font.
Very informative. Many thanks to Piglet. Pity you're not in the sheds as much as you used to like, but that's progress, as they say! Any signs of a new TV Series - would be nice? Al.
Great to see another Black 5 coming back!!! 😍 44806 will be lie a brand new engine when she's completed, just like 92134 was 3 years ago! I'm surprised at the 9F needing new tyres so soon after restoration! Are the existing ones her original BR tyres? I know she didn't see many years with BR before being sent to Barry Scrapyard. I remember the only time I've seen her, back in 2019 at the Autumn Steam Gala, and although standing on Grosmont station, I felt her slip! 😍😍😍 I accidentally commented in my own video *_"I felt that!!!"_*
Great video guys. Its really interesting to see behind the scenes. I'm just wondering what's happening with 80135, 75029 and Dame Vera Lynn as these were my favourite locos from when I was a child . Thanks piglet
Hey Piglet, I live just down the road from the village of Hartland in Devon (infact my M+D live there) Can you tell me how the steam engine (there was also a navel ship) got its name, There was as far as I know no railway to Hartland but a secret RAF base ?? , I'm popping to Hartland village at the weekend as its my Dads birthday and my daughter is coming down from Swindon, I mean why would you want to live in Swindon...(I did live there in a golf ball shot of the works LOL) Great Video and I would love to learn more about Hartland "the train" as it is a 10 mins drive to the village in Devon from here. Thank You Piglet for sharing your day with us !
Hey piglet nice to hear from you again! Two questions is Eric Tracy up and running this year? She is my favorite Black 5! And the second question is is 60007 going to be at the North Yorkshire moor’s this at all?
Hi, a question regarding the 24 and 25, any updates on those please kind Sir ? Has there been much progression with 5032 over the Winter and when are you looking at a return to service for 7628? Thanks
I have asked for diesel updates on many occasions. It seems that a percentage of the members, diesel enthusiasts, are being ignored. I hope this is read as I hate criticising. They are doing a great job. Thanks
Hi, There is the Vera Blog if you haven't seen it, nymr.link/dt2 - But we'll also speak with the fundraising team and see if they would be able to do a video for us too.
It’s always the same. I feel paying my membership and giving donations during tough times (covid) is for nothing. Diesel enthusiast members are being completely ignored.

Livery for 44806 has not been decided yet, but it will be black :)
@@NYMR well I'd hope so it wouldn't be a Black 5 without it🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why is inside frames painted red? A good idea.

Many of us don't think in metric old imperial units are fine by my.
Excellent as usual. For44806, do you use a cylinder liner Also, did the Bishop get defrocked? I haven't seen 5428 with its name plate,
Hi piglet when will repton stream again??
We hope for early June. The super heater header is being replaced and it’s being machined now, once that is back we can fit it and get steaming.
I saw you at east lancashire railway
So steam engines have "tyres", who knew..
Where's Lucy in the restoration process?
Hi piglet it’s Ryan Cormack from east hull how’s you
