    I’ve been crocheting for almost 60 yrs and I’ve never seen an afghan so beautiful. I couldn’t wait to start it. I’m only on #14. I’m crocheting it in very bright colors for my 7 yr old granddaughter. She loves it already. Thank you so much for the videos.

    Just finished row 14. Such a great tutorial. Thank you so much for your generosity. I have bought the pattern and fairly new to crochet so these tutorials are just what I need. I'm loving learning so many new stitches. Thank you ❤

    This is my first blanket in years I’ve crocheted for over thirty years and when I seen this I about died !
    It’s all the stitches that came out when I was a little girl and made a chain one
    I said to my mom when can I make a blanket well after all
    These years I’m making my own not for sale!
    My own spring fling
    Thank you so much for being in my life everyday

      Karin Jamieson we all start somewhere. I always suggest trying dishcloths with cotton to try new stitches, how to work in rows and rounds. Granny square dishcloths too. I do this so that way if we make mistakes learning it’s still something functional, and trust me everyone loves these things you can never have too many.

      Every single person who can crochet has been in the exact position you are in-a beginner-. Of course you will be able to do this if you keep on. All the best to you. ♥️🇦🇺

    Your work is lovely and so interesting. To clarify Debi, sometimes you do your back post stitches around the actual post of the stitch and other times you put your hook under the topV of the stitch instead. It gives a different look as the former makes a dimensional ridge and the latter not so. Just wondering?? Thanks so much for sharing your time and talents. Much appreciated, ♥️🇦🇺

    • @DebiDearest

      I wonder if there’s a term difference for how the two are worked 🤔 Something to look into. I think they are both post stitches but worked differently.

    • @Soffity
      @Soffity 3 роки тому

      @@DebiDearest I saw you said before you do some of your stitches differently from the “norm” whatever that may be, the most common I suppose, but it doesn’t matter. It’s the look you want and that what you do to get that look. I’m enjoying the adventure, thanks. I’ve just done myself a little sample to see the difference, and the look is quite different. The sc is the hardest to find the post but when I finally did it is different. It’s fun to experiment. I’ve never seen a post stitch done the way you do, so I don’t know if it has a name either. We could call it the “Debi post stitch”. thanks for replying and putting up with my queries. If people only did what had been done before we would be at a standstill.

      @@Soffity it’s mostly finding the right words to use . How do I identify exactly which strands to work under. One little change can make a difference but it also makes it unique at the same time. Some times I feel like I wave around my hook and can’t think but to say “do this and do that” thanks to video it helps to show exactly what’s being done.
