Hi guys,
We had an opportunity to test this new GSWF paint protection film and answer main question: If you can wrap entire car using this product? The answer you will find in the video.
This product is called PPF, however it is not the same as we used to use to protect vehicles. It feels different, an application is not the same either. At the moment I call it Hybrid Paint protection film.
I would love to do more testing on this product in the future and provide you as much information as I can.

I really hope they use cosmetic PPF rather than vinyl for the factory wrap of the Aptera. Understandably being a micro factory concept and operating under California environmental laws traditional paint shops are not practical. Since the vehicle is designed to be parked in the sun solar degradation of vinyl would be a major issue.

I am planning to PPF my BMW i4 M50 and i found a really skilled professional who recommends GSWF PPF, he also does Stek, but he recommends and prefers GSWF, so im inclined to let him decide.
Im planning to use the matte clear PPF on top of the original car paint (portimau blue paint) and use Stek carbon ppf ok the plastic details (front/rear/spoiler/mirror) and roof.
Is there any downsides with matte ppf vs glossy ppf? Like self healing properties or such?

We stop using Stek 6 years ago and we have a reason why 🫣
Downside about mate ppf is that in general it is a bit less lasting product, but you still get 10years warranty, so it should be good enough 🙌 In Dubai or Australia for matt ppf you will get 7years warranty. But I’m guessing that you are living in Scandinavia and will be 10 years here 🙌
Self healing works same as on clear ppf.
So ppf brands has thinner ppf and I do not recommend them in Scandinavia because you have a lot of stones on the roads and these kind of products will not protect from heavier stonechips same as thicker/normal thickness ppf.

We sprayed our slip solution on both sides to reduce static from the film 👌

Why is GSWF cheap compared to dyno stek?
So what’s the difference OR What it makes this product been considered PPF,when I look it it ,is a wrap to me,is the thickness or the way it needs to be installed??
It is PPF because it is made from TPU material. Have self healing top coating and 12years warranty. It is thicker than vinyl wrap. Approximately 8mil and it needs to be installed as a PPF, not like vinyl wrap

Use carburetor cleaner to spray on to test.
I might try next time, but how often you will use carburetor cleaner on your vehicle? I have never ever touched this kind of cleaner in my life. LOL

yes, it can be installed on top of ceramic coating, but will be easier just to polish the car and remove ceramic coating before ppf installation
is the GSFW infused color series hydrophobic?
Yes, they are hydrophobic

How come you use a knife and not cutting tape?
Cutting tape do not cut PPF. Simple as that. Professionals must know how to use knife. Knifeless tape is for beginners 😅

Is this product harder to install than clear PPF, or same?
It is easier to install, just need to adjust your slip ant tack solution. Takes more time, because wet installation
may i know of this is more difficult to wrap when compare to 3m?
Yes it is. PPF is 8mils thick. 3m cast is 3 mils thick
i dont like the finish color.. looks like the car is bad painted with 10kilos bondo underneath..
So???? Why use this as a color change ??? When you can just use avery, 3m etccccc
1. It will last way longer
2. Self healing
3. Changes color and ads protection for the paint
4. Gloss level way better then any vinyl wrap brand

@@av8743 8 to 12 years warranty, self healing and way more protection 🙌 you can't compare these two products.
For example satin finish vinyl in Australia is warranted for 18-24months and its not self healing product
@@WrapVirus doesn’t 3m still self heal small scratches? I think vinyl just doesn’t do it nearly as well as ppf which makes sense
@@av8743 Try metal brush on 3M. We are talking about 2 completely different products. No need to compare them. Ppf is ppf and vinyl wrap is vinyl wrap. Different installation, durability, price and etc. Most of vinyl wrappers don't even know how to install ppf ringt way 🙌
