I found the same exact 7 color ppf from China. Have ordered 1 of them for myself in Chicago. For 1000 bucks. Lets see how it looks after application. I will keep you posted here. Will be applying myself DIY
@@tesbros if I come to Tennessee to you guys for applying, how much would it be for Model 3 2023? Just recently purchased. I will get the Color PPF with me. How much would be the Labour cost for putting it up?
are the parking sensors PPF'd as well? if so, does it hinder it's performance? if the sensors are not covered, i assume you will see the original parking sensor color through circle cut-outs?
Great question. The newer model 3 and y starting in 2022 doesn’t have sensors so no need to worry there. But for the older models, yes you would have that cutout.
I really want my new Model Y Performance in the Matte Black but, those two locations are just too far and then having to leave it with them for a week, with no way for me to get home after dropping off my car and no way to get there when it's ready, without taking public transit which makes my travel time even longer and will be expensive. But I really fear by the time they offer this to other locations my car will have some nicks and won't meet their requirements to get PPF. But how is Tesla going to get the space to do the wraps in the service centers when they don't even have enough service centers to begin with?!
Yeah good points. Not sure how fast they’ll spread to other locations or even if they will. We’ll have to see. But you can also get your Tesla wrapped at local shops
One reason is say the paint is white and you did then PPF in black. Every time you opened the door it would look odd. But if Tesla is doing door jams then they must using templates because I can't see them taking stuff apart to wrap it. Or they are just out of touch with the true costs and will be increasing the price for this service.
They lowered the prices today to $5700. Insane deal!

when do you think you will have the highland model 3 PPF kits available?
As soon as they come out for us to make them!

@@tesbros Yes I can at a higher price for a full wrap including door jams.
@@tesbros Yes I could it my car wrapped at a local shop, but it would cost more.
maybe a dumb question:
other than more visually consistent, why would one need ppf cover on door jams?
That would be the main reason. There are some good reasons in high impact areas but I was surprised to see them offer full door jambs.

@@Resist4They add some of the cost to the car even before you decide to wrap it.
@@Red00022 Huh? Not sure what you are replying to.
Tesla can’t get the factory fit and finish correct so why would I trust them to wrap a car??
Good point. We will see how this plays out.
The fit and finish on my new Model Y is perfect, very much improved from when I had my 2018 Model 3.
@@Resist4 Im sure Ray Charles would agree
