WTF Happened to Paul McCartney?

- It’s no stretch to say that popular music as we know it now would be very different were it not for Paul McCartney. So, we’re pretty sure many of you reading and watching this will say, WTF Happened to Paul McCartney? Nothing - he’s still awesome. And indeed he is, with him even recently rocking up a storm with the Foo Fighters on-stage for their recent tribute to Taylor Hawkins. Despite pushing eighty, McCartney is still a force. Still, here at JoBlo Originals, in addition to being movie fans, we’re also music fans, so just like when we wrote about Clint Eastwood, forgive us our indulgence as we dig into the career of one of the greatest musicians of all time.
In this episode of WTF Happened to this Celebrity, which is written (with Brad Hamerly), narrated, edited and produced by Taylor James Johnson, we examine the scope of his career. Of course, we spend plenty of time on The Beatles, but we also dig into his awesome seventies group, Wings, as well as his solo work, which included some massive hit collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and more. And did you know Paul McCartney also made a movie? Well, the great Paul might prefer if we left Give My Regards to Broad Street out, but there you go. We also explore the great man’s resurgence, including work with the now-crazy Kanye West, the reformed Nirvana (with McCartney standing in for the late Kurt Cobain) and more.
What’s your favourite McCartney era? Let us know in the comments!

A better question is: "WTF Happened to William Campbell Shepherd?" The latter, as the lead singer of a Beatles cover band (Billy and the Pepperpots, who released the MERSEYBEATS album) mysteriously fell off the map of the world on Sep. 11, 1966. Strangely, there is no news or gravestone to indicate what became of him. Seems like some British journalist could investigate that if they're not too afraid of MI5/MI6 (keepers of one of life's biggest cover-ups --- right up there with the JFK single bullet theory, the 9/11 collapse of Building 7, and G.W. Bush's Iraq's supposed weapons of mass destruction.)
He became Paul and is still going strong.

A very easy-to-see detail most of fans cannot see is the colour of the eyes. You just can't change the colour of people's eyes. Paul had BROWN eyes and Billy, the imposter, has GREEN eyes. So, there shouldn't be any debate in this case! There is no worse blind than the one who doesn't want to see.
Also it would seem ‘original’ Paul had very straight nose!
I totally agree!

@kennytrcka..
I'm on the fence as to whether I believe the real original Paul is still with us or whether he was replaced by someone but I will say this..... Regarding your comment I've known a number of people in my life you have so-called hazel eyes they can look blue gray blue gray green and even brown.
I'll give you an example of a famous person, who eyes CHANGED COLORS dramatically at times! He was a musician, a leader of a famous rock 'n roll band, and a tremendous songwriter, who passed away a little over 6 years ago. I'm referring to the the great Tom Petty, of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers!
I think that he must have had hazel eyes, which are known for changing color, but blue is most likely what is listed on his birth certificate.
He most often appeared to have incredibly beautiful blue💙 eyes, but when he would wear green, his eyes were as!green 💚 as can be! I & many long time fans have studied tens of thousands of photos of this dear man. His eyes eyes changed COLORS, when h e wore certain shades of clothing!
His eyes also look gray at times, and other times a gray blue, and I've even seen them look 🤎brown, and a 🤎💚 brownish green! So That's very possibly why you're seeing a different eye color in certain current photos of Sir Paul, no matter who he may, or may not be! 🙌
McCartney's eyes were very dark brown.

Heather Mills had great insight into people. She was judged very harshly as a gold digger. She went on a talk show, maybe George W. Bush's nephew's show. Heather said that someone had hurt her very badly, and she didn't mean by infidelity. She also was referring to something but would not say what it actually was -- as she implied she was not allowed to. She said: "People could never ever handle the truth. It would be too devastating." I don't see how anyone can't see that there were two different Pauls. Two different men. Something happened to the first Paul McCartney, and he was replaced. One day you will know the truth. Maybe. Why can't people like you have an open mind. You think you are being loyal, standing up for your Paul. While the first one is probably in a grave somewhere. The first one before 1967 was replaced. You can love the second Paul -- but please don't pretend it's the same Paul that was in the Beatles before 1967 because it isn't. Instead of being so angry -- why can't you investigate and tell people like me why we are wrong for believing the first one died. How about watching the podcast: Was Paul McCartney "Replaced" By a "Double" in 1966? by Stephen - Truth Seeker. It is 1:45:30 in length, but you don't have to watch it all in one sitting, in which Stephen has a talk with Tina Foster (not about the clues on album covers and songs), but about the physical differences between the two Pauls. Tina didn't know that Paul had been replaced, but when she was directed to websites, she kept an open mind and studied different videos and photos of Paul before she came to her conclusion that Paul was replaced. Stop hating and start investigating. Why are people like Tina and me wrong in our conclusion? You can still love the second Paul -- he was still a Beatle -- he is just not the same guy who was Paul before 1967.

@@user-fu2mi1nd5l Like what?
No it's not. Ever heard of his finger prints in Japan 1980...?

Let me save u 20 minutes... He died in 1966... You are welcome
Google Billy Pepper and the Pepperpots…think of all the tribute bands that fool people into paying to see them perform…
Hmmm. Some mistakes here. For one thing, Let It Be was worked on before Abbey Road.
Well, Billy is doing just fine. For more of the REAL Beatles STORY, read the Memoirs Of Billy Shears by Thomas E Uharriet along with his follow up book 'Billy's Back' and find out why John Lennon himself referred to the Beatles as a myth...or why in 'How Do You Sleep?', Lennon wrote, 'those freaks was right when they said you was dead'.
I love the smug tone of this guy while he shows two pics that reflect the difference in face structure & who feels a difference in the shape of ears is no big deal. No big deal that a possible crime was committed either? Yep that's what the west has devolved into. 🙄
How ignorant people who believe that Paul McCartney is dead think is beyond stupidity.I guess pink elephants and aliens exist also

Wrong dude. Sgt pepper dont include strawberry feilds forever or penny lane. Those were the next album.
when did paul mccartney start acting?
Idk
When was the last time paul had a hit song
It so easy to see the impossible changes in him. Also all of the other evidence and there is a lot.
And the big changes started in december 1966.
Abbey Road recording sessions started after Let it Be... But was released prior to the release of Let It Be. Also, LSD does not stand for Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. It was inspired by a drawing Julian had made.
Lucifer in the heavens with diamonds is what it's really about
I think it would be nice to see a wtf happened to Elton John since he's one of my favorite artists of all time ❤️
Elton John has been replaced. The real one quit in disgust with the Music Biz in the late 70's.There is even a video somewhere on the WWW where the imposter is accused by a Eastern European TV presenter of being a fraud. The more you look into it the more apparent it becomes. Piano and vocal styles change, facial and cranial features change, costumes and razza matazz distractions become more over the top. Examine How many Bob Dylans, Keith Richards and Eric Claptons there have been?. The Original artists probably burnt out completely or OD'd on heavy drugs but the franchise and the characters must continue . Ka Ching $$$.
@@MisterTMH Wish they coulda replaced KEITH MOON and JERRY GARCIA
I really don't think The Beatles were that much different than The Monkees. Did the original Paul die in 1966? Well, if you look closely, he does look a little different in 1967; the year they stopped playing LIVE and their music and LOOK changed. Controlled by greedy people in the entertainment business, I believe it is possible that we may not have the original Paul. Maybe that would explain why the dynamic with the boys suddenly changed. Whatever the reason, it's possible we have been enjoying the music of someone who was brought in for the sake of money. Maybe that's why The Beatles liked The Monkees. Stranger things have happened in the land of illusion.
Any chance of being taken seriously is eliminated by the first sentence.

You kinda missed the passing of Lennon and sadly George with whom he reconciled with before he died. Arguably the most talented Beatle, was George in my humble opinion.
That'd be a hard argument to support, if you ask me.
I love George too, but he comes in third.
*RANDY JUDAH TORREZ ❤️
@@ChrisMaxfieldActs Shall I try? George was the major influence for the psychedelic period and trips to India which influenced arguably the best Beatle Music. He had literally 100 songs in the bank that should have been included on Beatles albums but were shelved, so that is why is was the first Solo Beatle to have a number 1 album. He wrote Something, which is historically referred to as one of the top tunes of all time, Taxman, Piggies, helped Ringo with Octopus Garden, had Clapton sit in on Sessions which elevated the group that was slowly dying. All things must pass, and the list literally goes on and on. Yes Paul had Hey Jude & John and Paul had a Day in the Life which was two tunes combined. John had Imagine and some quality tunes, and who played on that album? George! Paul’s solo stuff has been average with a few exceptions. So in summary, George was quiet and reserved, but found his voice in 65 onwards and in my opinion wrote superior tunes to the duo of Lennon and Paul. Thoughts and counters are most welcome as it’s a very subjective opinion I know.
I'm with you. George BEST solo Beatle.@@adam_williamk8280

it’s one of the most important & interesting documentary series to to come out this decade.
The Beatles were Big Business & the show had to Go on ,
it was such a great key to Happiness that no band had ever done before & they were selling records & were sold before they had even been produced.
Nick Kollerstrom has made a Brilliant Book about the Subject

John, and George, died.
And long live William. The "second McCartney".
Michael Jackson’s estate sold the copyrights to the Beatles’ song catalog and McCartney successfully regained them in 2017.
Good to know, thanks.
Not sure that is true.
But he can afford it, but what would you do, if you had a Heap of Beatle songs in your possession, would you sell them back to a surviving Beatle? or not worry about it, and keep the catalogue for yourself, to sell to a higher bidder?
Seriously, what would you do?!
I've not heard Paul say he had bought back all right's, they'd be worth a fortune.

Two different people in one name. The real one did it up to 1966 and the other guy covered him for 60 years. The real Paul had a rounded face with bigger ears. The covered guy was trying to be left-handed guitarist.
