THE "OPEN HEARTH" HEARTH'S SECRET SMOKE AND SPATTER ARE NOT ALLOWED. The trick is as old as the art of cooking itself.
What makes this product a smarter choice?
Number 1. AIR - Circulating air around the cooked meat causes it to "breathe." The "Cool Zone" approach is what we call it. When you use the Rotisserie device, it gives steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, chops, poultry, and even roasts a flavour that everyone enjoys.
Number 2. Keep your Farberware handy. Broilers don't need a hood or an enclosure because they tend to absorb moisture and dry out the meat. Natural fluids are preserved, and only the fat is removed, resulting in reduced meat nutrient loss and more tasty, healthy meals.
Number 3. Cooking using the Farberware patented "Cool Zone" approach is smokeless and spatter-free. You're oblivious to the fact that meat is cooking. Meat can be broiled directly at the table.
Number 4. Unlike traditional electric broilers, the Farberware heating element is located below the grill, preventing smoke and excessive heat. Furthermore,
Number 5. Heat is evenly absorbed and dispersed by a specifically constructed aluminium drip tray, which eliminates splatter.

I love this think they old as hell. My parents had it way back in the day. Like late 70's. I still have mine today and its 2023 gonna use it tomorrow actually 9/13/23. Put some water in bottom pan. No smoke let that bird go around and round super juice. Once everything dries off take heat element out wipe down. You can wash the rest of it. Just not the element. When i cook on this and other stuff all my homies come by when i tell them lol. Best thing old school stuff is the best if you know how to take care of it. This thing been around for a long time. Mine not be same model papers black and white looks like something out of the 60's. Came across another papers in color but still looks like 70 old shoot i only 46 and i know for a fact the one i cook on is older than me

How did your bird turn out? What was the purpose of the water?

Once in a while you’ll get a little “puff” maybe, but most of it misses the grill.
