@pikapower25 It had a tendency to cause vibrations at certain RPMs, this felt unpleasant if you were sitting near it on a Caravelle. But my favourite sounding jet engine, too.
@@MarkHoldcraft The engine mounts seem to have been designed for the original Avon engines which did not vibrate. But the PW turbofans seem to have had a bad effect on the rear of the plane. It depended on the RPM of course.

i understand on the caravelle that the engine mounts and area around that were prone to vibrations. i never experienced it on a nine

Hm, must have been a pretty empty airplane to be using power settings that low.
