The pocket pushing that lane early is a huge mistake because this is a time when haze is massively disadvantaged power wise. It litterally saves her lane.
Solid commentary. You noticed things I didn’t and was super helpful. I think you’re correct in general about QSR but building both is never bad, active is just preferred.
QSR on 1 actually works super well. Buy Slowing Hex -> Stealth for a gank, open out of invis with hex, they panic and roll while you shoot them because no movement abilities, then sleep them for the sleep+reload AND stam reduction. This is very often "guaranteed" kills in my experience
1:13 Pocket goes aggressive in tower range and get daggered shifting the momentum in hazes favor damage wise which means she has a slight strength advantage in trades over pocket right now meaning more free laning until pocket lv 2
I would say that I always see QSR on Haze and usually on the dagger. If you're in a 1v1, you're less often going to need the reload during the fight so the sleep time letting you set up your positioning is more important. In a team fight, you might want to save dagger just for the reload or key CC during the fight. I literally don't think there's any other ability worth putting it on.
0.33 seconds in he goes for a blind dagger which removes any ability for him to lane against pocket due to his artillery and u see it shortly after when he take around 200 damage with no way to compensate. Luckily pocket pushes into his lane which gives him safe farm instead of stalling and forcing the haze to take more damage with stacks on him. (Haze having so low damage early there is no way to trade efficiently against pocket at this point.
You don't really need to buy items for the ult, if you get lucky shot + ricochet you're already shredding them with the ult. If you add toxic bullets and crippling headshot it's ggez
I have had absurd success with dagger/spirit haze its very difficult to itemize agaisnt because you are STILL Haze, so even a modest gun investment has massive returns, but the normal metalskin/return fire end up being massive wastes of souls
@@BlueWafer Yeah you still get a great ult with gun Haze. The difference is that you don't invest AP in it early, and you don't buy duration or cooldown items, and possibly not even improved reach.
1:32 Pocket wastes his artilery to do harass when he cannot capitalize on it and haze can easily back into the building to avoid damage. This while pushing lane right after essentially ensures a free lane for haze.
quicksilver reload is a good buy on haze. It's really nice for farming and pushing walkers to refill your mag and gain that additional fire rate. Also helpful in mid team fight for the same reasons. I often buy both quicksilver reload and active reload to help with farm early to mid game. I think it's better to have those than Tesla bullets. Tesla bullets is bad imo.
these type of videos are cool but sometimes it feels more like a commentary rather than analysis because having 11k and losing 1k unsecured @ 17m is a huge mistake, you could have told people that even though he has more 'souls' than everyone else he really doesnt bc they have spent theirs on items whereas he has the same items he did like 5 mins ago. but hopefully you make more of these type of vids
I agree. I definitely miss some stuff because there can be a lot to talk about moment to moment. I have thought about pausing and replaying, but I don't want the video to get too long.
So I didn't like this vod becuase there were a lot of mistakes early that could be lane losing if the opponent played it better. I will be timestamping a few of them
If she uses dagger to last hit or wiffs it, she has no cc or active abilities. Save all of your cooldowns for this time so you can trade when she has no tools to stop you.
If you let her get this fed, honestly not a whole lot. You need to disrupt her farm or close out the game before she hits her huge power spike. As far as items go, Return Fire and Metal Skin to shut down her gun damage and Curse to disarm her are good. She can still use her ult while disarmed, so make sure you're keeping a safe distance from her.
Headshot booster on haze is just a bad item. You will see her slot dependency later due to all her early game items and if the enemy plays well she would've been stuck maxed out on slots and would have to sell rapid rounds or headshot booster to scale after selling healing rite. That would be 500 gold lost or about 6 and a have creeps. Headhunter doesn't make sense since her ult and she wants constant damage output as fast as possible for fixation. Ammo scavenger or high velocity mag both upgrading to tier 3 would be better. Titian ammo would also give her some resist when she goes full weapon damage and pristine would give her spirt resist and a huge damage spike (weapon damage plus bonus damage if they are above 60%)
High Velocity Rounds isn't very good on Haze, as she already has one of the highest velocity weapons in the game. You might consider it versus another high velocity hero, but in general it doesn't provide much for you. Titan Ammo is also bad on Haze, as she already gets a ton of ammo from spirit power (1 ammo per 2 spirit power). Late game she usually has 80-100 ammo from spirit alone, plus Quick Reload Silver and/or Active Reload mean she is never running out of ammo. And Escalating Resilience is much more effective for giving her bullet resistance than Titan Magazine. Selling early game 500's is no big deal either. In fact it's usually best to load up early with cheap items, as they usually give a better bang for your buck. Then you sell them later for higher tier items. 500 gold lost is less than 5 troopers late game and that is literally nothing, Haze can earn that in a few seconds. All that is to say that Headshot Booster is a pretty good pick here. It's a relatively easy 40 extra damage every 7.5 seconds. This is fantastic for a hero that lacks early game poking options. You don't usually upgrade it to Headhunter, just sell it mid game.
@@kered13 1) Those early game items will cap her damage. She's wholy reliant on shooting which even this game started to become a problem when her team was routed and she was way ahead. Tirain ammo let's you go damage while getting survivable. Replacing something like quick silver which doesn't offer much late game anyway and won't cost you 625 just to sell it for better items like curse. Titan ammo gives you close to as much bullet resist as bullet armour. If you're not buying it might as well get it. Escalating exposure is an expensive buy for someone who has so many slots filled due to early game items. There are just better items and it requires you to be hit several times before it matters. With no resistance she's basically getting bombed by sport right after. It's just inefficient.
@@kered13 selling early games items is a small deal because people don't know how to close out a map yet. You're already seeing in the pro matches how quickly a map can be farmed by a team ahead then you're waiting around 4 minutes to get a spawn for most camps. In more developed games stealing camps is the norm like Lol or Dota. Losing almost an entire wave for one item sold is bad economically. You're relying way too much on being ahead to get away with that or people just staying bad. This alone isn't even the most optimal. Freezing lane when there are no more camps to farm to force enemies in dangerous positions should be the norm. We already saw a lane lost in tournament when the infurnus froze near walker after the Yamato killed his tower. This doesn't only apply to laning phase.
@@kered13 and you're not buying high velocity for the velocity for haze, you're buying it for the upgrade of prestine emblem; one of the best damage items in the game.
@@thelaw3536 Her damage is never capped because you just sell the early game items when you need slots. This is perfectly normal and almost all top player builds rely on buying 2-4 early game items that you know you're going to sell later. This works out favorably because the early game items help you win your lane, giving you the $250 value you need to pay for themselves. I meant to say Escalating Resilience. It should have been clear what I meant because that's the item she actually bought in the game. Escalating Resilience provides 40% bullet resistance compared to Titanic Magazine's 18%. ER additionally provides 14% damage (on top of the base 14%) and more importantly 14% fire rate. For comparison, Titanic Magazine provides 18%+14% damage, but it's primary stat, the ammo bonus, is useless on Haze. Titanic Magazine is just a bad item on Haze, while Escalating Resilience gives Haze actually what she wants. Note that ER builds up resistance when *you* hit bullets, so with a high fire rate you'll basically have it maxed at 40% before your opponent even knows what is happening. Pristine Emblem is a great item in a vacuum, but again it's not the best on Haze. The weapon velocity it provides is pretty much useless for her. The spirit power is mostly useless. The weapon damage, both the automatic and conditional, is very good, but Haze values fire rate more than weapon damage. It's an okay item at best for Haze, there are other items that compete strongly for that slot.
I think it’s pretty common to get quick silver reload once you get your second upgrade on dagger, that’s something I’ve seen mikaelS do a lot
It's part of Chrome's Rapid Haze build too.
The pocket pushing that lane early is a huge mistake because this is a time when haze is massively disadvantaged power wise. It litterally saves her lane.

Quicksilver is a godsend for clearing camps early and surprising some enemies with how much lead you can throw down in a 1v1
