@@OneTechTraveller the Vertex Pouch arrived! I’m loving it so far. I mostly use it as a sling so I need to get used to the weight (a bit much!) but it is great so far! :)
@cyandead thanks for sharing and glad to hear your experience! Yes slightly heavier for a sling but the hybrid desk caddy feature is TOTALLY worth it. Enjoy the Vertex 🔥🙌
@@OneTechTravelleryeah the bag itself is awesome, did some cut and sewing and now it’s definitively better! The shouldn’t have made the shoulder strap like that so I modified it! Definitively better, I’m loving it now!
thanks for the input Bani! Agreed, nothing is ever truly definitive. You're right in this case with zippers since they are DWR treated and will wear out over time. By definition, they are still waterproof in the sense it will hold out under far more intensive showers like a membrane that is waterproof effective, but aren't designed to naturally submerged in water. I'll be more concise on the nuance. Cheers.
Checked and they will be available sometime this month. Keep an eye out and don't forget to use my discount code to help you save a little bit when you order 😎🤙
Thanks! It's 25cm long and 9cm deep for the main compartment. The stretchy inside is 4cm deep (can adjust to be as slim or moist of the 9cm) with the same length.
@ountain7680 you're welcome Frank. Don't forget to grab 15% off Alpaka if you end up picking a Vertex (or other Alpaka) to save some money in my pinned comment :) Have a great weekend! KBA
Sadly I don't have a pair so I can't accurately comment, but you can put a few bits in the front divider pockets and iPad behind it. Maybe a few soft items in the dual opening mesh pouch. Hope that helps!
13:07 I've owned the alpaka tech brief and this was my major complaint with how alpaka designs their padded strap, you cannot make one of the sides short enough for higher chest/back sling carry. See how the padded portion ends up on your chest instead of over your shoulder? Thats a bummer. DSPTCH has a padded shoulder strap that solves this by making one of the ends completely removable so the padded portion is mush closer to the shoulder in sling mode. If they could make that fix, it would go a long way toward usability of their padded strap in high carry slings. The good thing is the DSPTCH strap also has a similar G hook, so it works on Alpaka bags.
Agreed, I also like to run my sling carry tight from time to time so definitely there are further improvements to be made to the shoulder strap. Luckily they're detachable so we can use another other strap but hopefully they can make the padded strap better suited for tight body carry. Thanks for pointing out 🤙
depends what you prefer - xpac more weather protection and axoflux more rugged, both excellent materials depends on preference to the material look too
you should be able to buy it now - released last month glnk.io/90jr/onetechtraveller don't forget to save 15% off using my latest code if you end up buying one :)

Thank you for your review. Can you tell me the maximum length of the shoulder strap?
thanks for watching! don't have it with me right now but it should be at least 1m - 1.5m long
Just purchased this bag also using your discount code. Thanks a lot, your video convinced me! Can’t wait for it to arrive!🎉

I guarantee that no regular zipper is truly waterproof. It's better to say water-resistant. Otherwise, a very thorough review.

I’m really keen to see the AirPods Max in the Vertex and what else can fit in with them?

Is this the biothane sling strap? Or the regular sttap?
Morning, would you have a link the to strap your talking about? Thanks 😊
I like it but won’t fit my iPad 10.2 😜❤️
Yeah sadly that's not going in 😅 Vertex Pouch XL in the future? 🤞
Can it be worn around your waist? Fanny pack style?
You can, as long as the shoulder strap can tighten enough and you don't pack it with too much. It's not the easiest nor most comfortable but you can.
Which material is better? Xpac or Axoflux?
depends what you prefer - xpac more weather protection and axoflux more rugged, both excellent materials depends on preference to the material look too
Those brick shape makes me anxious lol
Now you mention it, I can't unsee it 😅
How can i buy it?
It’s not showing in Alpaka store

Does magic keyboard fit in this?
unfortunately not, the Magic Keyboard just under 28cm but the internal space is a little shorter. It won't fit in either sections of the Vertex Pouch.
Can it hold a computer?
Only a tablet device like the iPad mini will fit. An 11" iPad could possibly fit in the main space
