Just a heads up - don't use the alcohol wipes on your hands, the alcohol will take residue into your skin. My son is an aviation engineer and that's the first thing he told me when I started using resin for my artworks. Baby wipes are much better and safer. :)

Two things about this type of iridescence. One, it sinks. So t's best as a thin top coat or put it down first. And two, I made the same mistake you did at first. I color matched the sparkles to coordinate with my color choice. But what that does is take away that color from the result. Red on red, blue on blue, etc.cancels the corresponding glitter. Put the one with blue on a green resin. Put the red on a golden yellow, do a contrasting color like purple resin with the gold. That's why the black looked so amazing- it showed all the colors.I actually learned this doing nail polish art for my daughter, lol. It translated well for my artwork. Happy pouring I LOVE your channel, and the molds are very pretty.

Also - just use the paint and resin - don't use the pigments if you want to put it right in the resin. A few drops is all you need - you will get more of a transparent shift effect though so if you want something more opaque then I'd use two different resin mixes. One with just the colour shift paint, then do another with a pigment. Its really quote pretty when you swirl them around.

I did this same thing using the Dragonfly glaze on a mermaid tail last summer. It cured white in the resin and I thought it was ruined. I couldn’t bear tossing it because I had worked hard on scales so I just set it aside. The white slowly cleared up. It took months to clear up - not even kidding - but it gives a nice shimmer once it’s completely clear. I haven’t done it again since I don’t want to wait months to see if it may clear, but thought I’d throw in that info!

The dragonfly glazes are just that-glazes. Think of them as if you were doing ceramics. You put your glaze, by itself, over the top of the piece to finish and seal it. DO NOT ADD IT TO RESIN! It's not made to work with resin as it is water based, not alcohol based! The cloudy finish is due to water being trapped inside the resin. If she thought about this, she would've figured it out. The glaze needs evaporation to dry. The resin needs heat (activation/hardener) to set.

String them all together n make a wind chime. The full spectrum is fantastic. I use it on all my wings and things. Also it would be a lot more predominant if you put a couple coat direct on the mold

Spray them with glossy spray on varnish which will help them be more shimmery

Maybe 2 drops instead of three drops of the dragonfly glaze! They are gorgeous!

Could you use water to fill your molds. Then pour the water in a contain, to measure for the Resin? I do enjoy your videos.

Do you think it became milky because the alcohol effected the dragonfly glaze instead of using the heat gun?

I noticed someone use lipsticks as a colouring agent. Maybe do a trial and see if lipstick and the special mica powder work together.

I wonder what would happen if you mixed the Dragonfly glaze with the paste. Ive seen people mix it with their paints and it turned out well

It turned my resin white when I mixed it…. I’m now waiting for it to cure to see if the dragonfly glaze clears up in the resin like urs did

I think it's something to do with what's in the paint that turns the resin white, I've done resin stones and they didn't stay clear, maybe

I put the glaze in just to add a little more sparkle , to a plain mica and to help thicken my resin , the butterflies turned out pretty

I bought some Christmas ornament mods to use up excess Resin. This might work for you too
