    Frontier= Crawl ratio 60:1 fully boxed titan frame (ability to titan swap suspension/engine) , Dana 44 locking rear (pro4x) , dana front diff, spicer transfer case, powerful vq motor, rear disc brakes, bullet proof and made in USA. Tacoma= 33:1 crawl ratio, C channel frame (on going corrosion frame recalls) , rear drum brakes, now made in Mexico, reliability declining and Toyota tax

    I have had nine four wheel drive trucks over the past 30 years. My 2023 Pro-4x is my favorite so far.

      Hello I'm considering a 2024 Frontier pro4x 4000 below msrp what's your pros or any cons?

    • @JL-xn3zy
      @JL-xn3zy 9 місяців тому +3

      @APOSTLESDOCTRINEPHOENIX I seriously have not found any cons. I have a bunch of trucks over three decades and this is definitely a favorite. I do think the MISMO 1.5 inch lift/level kit should come standard on the Pro4xs. It was about a 1000 dollar add, but I really like it.

      @@APOSTLESDOCTRINEPHOENIXget it. I bought my 2023 Pro4x for about 4k under MSRP too. Wasn't planning to, but test drove it and was in love. Some complaints about the heavy hydraulic steering, but I really like it. I also struggle to find things I don't like. When I park the truck does roll a bit even with the parking brake on, but it is a minor issue. I've had a 2017 Tacoma and 2 newer Ford Rangers. The Nissan is so underrated

    Prior to the update, I would say Tacoma was better, but with the updated look and the lower price tag I would say Nissan is starting to look more and more like the better truck in my opinion

    That Frontier is one hell of a good looking truck inside and out and the 3.8 is a sweet running v6. The new Tacoma is out now and looks great as well...but no more v6 is a deal breaker.

    The game changer is the difference between direct injection maintenance on the Nissan, and not having to deal with that extra maintenance cost on the Toyota of having to have valves cleaned.

    • @sierratough4934
      @sierratough4934 Рік тому +3

      Toyota uses both direct and port injection on the underpowered 3.5

      While I also hate DI, it’s roughly $400-500 every 80-90k miles for valves cleaning these days…I’ll take that and enjoy the superior interior fit and quality, better power and transmission, and better ride of the Frontier any day.

    Company I work for have only Tacoma trucks. Believe I know the issues. Besides the fact I would rather blowtorch my beard off rather than driving another Taco home there's the engine change for this year issue. It's a variable and fleet owners hate variables like that. So for me it was the Frontier. So far I'm a happy camper. I'm a maintenance freak person so no problems there.

    Frontier is direct injected
    Tacoma is dual: port and direct.
    That’s a lot of win for the Tacoma.

      The Frontier is only behind with the suspension, Toyota badge & resale. Otherwise the Frontier has a superior engine, transmission, interior by far. And it's priced more reasonably. Love the TRD but I think your wrong.

      I was one of those people, I was really wanting to get the new remodeled Tacoma, but I don't want a 4 cylinder turbo... So I'm gonna get a Pro4X

    • @Resistculturaldecline
      @Resistculturaldecline Рік тому +4

      @LodossWarz For normal usage, change the oil every 5k miles, change the running-gear lubricants every 50k. If you tow frequently or frequent off-roading, change those fluids a bit sooner. Don't spend extra for the high-end boutique lubricants, the dollars dont make sense. If it needs a simple intake port cleaning every 50k miles or so, do it.
      Any parts replacement, use genuine OEM parts, and you'll easily go over 300k miles.

      Same here, traded in a 19 Tacoma for a 23 Pro4X. The Pro4X is miles above the Tacoma in comfort. I used to hate my knee resting on the door and then smashing my head on the door frame getting out.

    👎 total regret buying my 2022 Nissan frontier crew cab
    👎 you can’t turn the driving lights off on the front part of the bumper
    👎 the radio takes forever to boot up makes me think it’s going to crash one day
    👎 open the hood and wiggle it up and down from the center with one hand and look at the hinges wobble like they are ready to break loose.
    👎 the steering is extremely Stiff.
    👎 notice the 24 Nissan frontier. The front bumper does not touch the front of the fenders. My 2022 Nissan frontier the fenders touch the front bumper and they pop out all of the time they should’ve made the front bumper metal.
    👎 the plastic bumper on the front keeps popping loose from the front of the fenders. Makes it look like crap. You have to keep pushing them back in.
    👎. Spend almost $40,000 and you will not get running boards.
    👎 if you buy a four-wheel-drive and you get hit in the rear end collision really hard the left leaf spring could poke a hole in your gas tank. There’s a safety recall on that.
    👎 they have way too many sensors on the dash that absolutely drive me nuts.
    👎 they made it kind of difficult free to reach in an access the oil filter so you can change it which is stupid. They should’ve put the oil filter on top of the engine like they do on Mercedes. But they make it difficult for you the truck owner so you have to bring it to the Nissan dealer. Which I will never do.
    2022 Nissan frontier sucks ..
    👎 faulty door, locking mechanism on the drivers door.
    👎 if you don’t close the drivers door hard, you might have to open up the back door and reach Drew to open up the drivers door.
    👎 way too many sensors on the dash that drive me nuts.
    👎I like the 1997 extended cab automatic four-cylinder much better than I do my 2022 Nissan frontier. Personally I have total regrets of buying it. Keep in mind they depreciate really fast. If I could find a 1997 extended cab, that’s in really good shape I would put my 2022 Nissan frontier in the desert and set it on fire just to show how pissed off I am about the truck.
