Out of all of them, the 78 P really got my attention. What a beauty.
Wow, so many great rare basses I may never get to see in person. Thank you Ed
Wow That Gibson EB sounds like Moog synth bass. Awesome!
Excellent, love this video, more please
The Serek is very cool. I love the simplicity. Thanks for taking us to the big city.
Very cool! Always a terrific videos, but Ed you have out done yourself this time...
Love the vid, please can we have more of this stuff? 👍🏾
This is a great video! I miss 48th street. Thank you, Ed.
I graduated from M+A in 1976.... we were blessed to have been there!
Hey Ed, nice road report! Loved those basses and the music. When I'm in the good old US of A I'll be sure to check them out, looking forward to that trip. Be well Ed and thanks.
Fantastic video, thank you for highlighting this awesome shop. As a Brooklynite myself, that place is a bass oasis! .... That vintage Gibson even shook the building I'm in just listening through my speakers :) .... and lastly the "I got a guy" line .... Doesn't get more Brooklyn than that ... and for the 3 deaf and blind cats who gave this video a thumbs down, "Fugedaboudit"
How wonderful
That equatorial mahogany 5 strings is a beauty ! (Well, so are all the others, but still it blew my mind)
Great report Ed! I look forward to the next one.
I'm currently waiting on a Serek. Can't wait 😁
Wow what a great shop Ed excellent thanks for posting
What a great stuff!Keep these posting!Thanks Ed
Excellent! Love this!
And finally, a credible opinion from experienced luthier and musician about flat-sawn vs quarter-sawn and graphite reinforced necks.
Istvan Hoffmann Mas Hino confirmed something I’ve always felt... and his Basses are living proof.
That was a great video. More of that type stuff please Ed.
I wish I'd seen this video three weeks ago when I was in NYC being disappointed at the Time Square Guitar Center...
Great video.Thank you.
Love this vid ! Thanks Ed !
I'd watch Ed doing a road report on hand crafted tea cozies, but seeing him touring all things bass in NYC is f'n spectacular!. By the way Ed, please get an F Bass, you killed on that thing man.
MrRedrocket42 Ive always loved F Basses! They sound incredible and fun to play. However.... I have zero application for a bass like that... and it’s certainly not an impulse buy for a guy like me. In my dreams perhaps.
Gotta check out this shop !!!---I'm only about a little more than 1 hour away on a good traveling day.---I love the LaBella basses.---Great tone !!!---A throwback and a half !!!
All of the Olintos sound soooo great.
Fantastic basses!
Greetings from Dublin Ireland Ed. Always remember you from bass mag back in the day. Ive watched quite a few of your videos. Just subscribed to your channel. Top marks fella. Keep it up. Brian.
The best postcard ever
Yo Ed! Long time fan from London England, Love your stuff! Next time you’re in New York you should head out to massapequa and check out the New York Bass Works shop, that guy is a master luthier if there ever was one.
Brilliant! I visited Aguilar in NYC (very friendly) and Sadowsky too (even friendlier). Cool basses Ed and wasn't expecting that mudbucker sound at all
Very cool all around!
That was an awsome watch Ed !
Cheers from 🇬🇧
Serek B90 takes the cake...
It's all in the hands!
Ed, you da man!
That Serek is the first short scale bass I've ever heard that truly sounds like a full scale. Wow!
Good ole ‘Musician’s Row’!
Still have a stash of Manny’s Tortoise 1mm pics from the late 70’s. And shoutout to Labella Deep Talkin’ Flats 🔊
Great video! Nothing beats a good vintage P bass. Even from a "lesser" year as 78 iets beat the wannabe vintage guitars.
Best episode ever. That sunburst five string with flats sounded great. Do u remember the price?
That Serek is awesome!
The Fbass won for my ears :)
Aww, man. Not much can make me homesick for my native NYC, but this sure did. I did a few rehearsals at the music building but most of 'em with the groups I played with were at Ultrasound on 30th, just down the street from 30th St. Guitars, another great store (which has moved since then). Great vid. Love to meet you sometime, Ed. (I'm in Phoenix now, actually.)
I think I rehearsed at Ultrasound too, there was a place in that building I went to a lot when I was in High School bands... Daily Planet? Anyway... I don't get up to PHX a lot, but if you're down in Tucson, give me a shout. I might be around... currently touring, but.... who knows?
It is all in the hands. Ed is so right. BTW, I have heard that in NYC you can die from a hat attack. Ha-ha-ha
Labella Olinto Sunburst sparkle pbass! Thanks Ed, my GAS is now back.... Is that still in the shop?
9:09 is when the real fun starts. Thanks so much Ed!
Fuckin 'A' right! Haha.
It's all in Nowinski's hands!
Some of it is in that highly-developed brain of his too!
10:15... you can actually see the video get darker due to the mud-bucker tone.
How Much ??? And where to buy ?
Christian Gagnon Call the store!
the f bass and the first serek. I couldn't pick only 1.
I thought you were dead!
Looks like somewhere in Afrika. Boutique instruments offered in a toilet room.
