I just acquired a blonde ‘74 Jazz, all original parts, no refinish, with the original bill of sale from the single owner. The owner had bought from a local licensed Fender dealer back in ‘74 (which is now closed), so it has some local history. Needless to say, I love it. Great vids Scott/Ian, I’ve been a long time watcher and fan! Keep it up. See you in the shed.
Every time you set up these giveaways, I get completely stoked! I WANT that vintage P-bass, but any one of them would be totally amazing. Thanks for keeping the excitement.
Just recently acquired a '79 Precision, which is older than me by several years. It is on the heavy side but it plays and sounds fantastic and has mojo aplenty. Can't put it down!
In the late 90s I was given a loan of a 78 American fender jass bass with idea of buying it. He wanted £450 for it but I instead bought a 1990 warwick streamer II for £650. Although I love my warwick hardly a day goes by that I wish I bought the jass. Still love a jass bass..
I have the best bass ever. Geddy Lee Sig. Sunburst. Would love to see you guys review an Antigua finish Jazz bass. OK, A bit of a troll post but I love how they look.
Hey @devinebass I'm curious if you have tried the Spector Skyler Acord Bass? Specially Ian who loves Spector and his NS Pulse 2 Purple Bass video really fired you up lol
i looked for a 70's jazz bass natural ash body. most were $3,000 , $4,000. to much. i ended up with a gibson lpb-2. $1,600. its in great shape. for being 30 years old. its a 93. real nice bass. have a good day.
Where I live, the grey squirrels are the mild-mannered ones and the red squirrels are evil. Oh yeah... the bass part of the video was kind of cool, too.
I tried to enter but it appears that I must be willing to give all my personal data to some Chinese company on social media to be entered. I'm not gonna do it. Too bad.

1) the title clearly indicated that it won't be a lesson 2) it's a vlog about buying a bass, it is supposed to be light hearted, fun and entertaining 3) For newbies like me, I learned a bit more about the differences between 60s and 70s jazz basses
Are there Jazzbass area when they are lighter than other period ? I heard in the video that 70's JB are a bit heavy, is it the case for all 70's JB ? For me the weight is critical, i play 3,2 kg Andy Schack Unique IV and his light weight is a part of the pleasure to play it. But vintage basses are attractive.
Get a partner who looks at you like Ian looks at these old basses 😍
Hahaha.
Ian is the biggest bass nerd I've ever seen in my life. I love it!
🤓
Would def be a fan if you guys did more of these bass themed vlogs
Dear God that sunburst Jazz tone is EVERYTHING 😳
I do like listening to Ian doing his stuff
Seeing Scott slap the bass is just so hilarious, I knew it was coming and it still kills me. I love slap but never took him to be that kinda guy
So many sweet sweet basses !!! BTW - Love the SBL pod and these style vlogs - great addition to the already awesome SBL platform - cheers mates !
I am a bass player, who was also born in 1978!!!!! My 1978 P Bass, while not my fav, was a must as my birth year!
That stack-knob is insane.

I thought Andy Baxter sounded familiar. A few weeks ago, I bought a 2022 Rickenbacker 4003 from his shop. What a treat to see him in a video!

Surprised Andy Baxter's just allowed his home address to be revealed to all the tea leafs of the Greater Leeds area for them to "case" 🤔
Thought the same initially, having lived up there for most of my life, but as Funky Monks says….
I would love a 1972 jazz bass 💯

I subscribed to the 14 days trial account and I want to cancel it and the system doesn't allow me to do it, this is super scammy, stay away from this
