It is important to maintain a vintage aesthetic while incorporating innovative ideas. Olinto basses are an example of perfection. Eric and his team have set the standard for what a top-tier operation and instrument should look like and sound like.
I’ve signed up at the Roadies Club. I want those strings! I’m sure they will go nicely with my 1963 Jazz. Love the Olinto Signature flats on my Moollon so far 🙏🏻
@22:17 Those little brown "rainbow" resistors or summing resistors--220K ohm carbon comp--are what darkens the tone of '60-'61 stack knob Jazz Basses--and also reduce the output. Simply dialing back the volume knobs just a little bit on any other later reissue stacked VTVT or any three-knob VVT Jazz does essentially the same thing for the tone.
I have a 61' jazz bass with a thick body and a 62' jazz bass with one of those thin bodies. I always wondered if it had been over sanded. Or heavy handed as you said lol
It’s like old appliances in you kitchen green if to were a kid in the70’s . Super rad!
